Hahaha!!! Real talk.
Wow, every month there is a new evans laugh gif. Awesome.

And op, he's good looking, famous and rather rich so i think he could be anything character wise and would still get the booty.

You should actually read/listen to Drake's lyrics. He's a fuckboy, the exact kind of dude many women hate. The whole fake nice BS/I'm owed sex

Drake is not genuinely nice. He's the kind of nice that gets you pussy.

Jay Z isn't handsome but he has confidence, talent, success and style.

These cases do not apply to regular folks

Well yeah, eventually those guys grow up and learn from those mistakes.

its the in between time that fucks them up. you really need to go listen to How About Now

I like Drake. I think he would chill and approachable enough to have a conversation with.

I don't have a problem with the soft / tough guy hypocicy in his public persona. I think a lot of people listen to the music and tune out the artist and tune in, anecdotes, stories and people from their own life. I think the reason why sentimental break-up heartache Drake songs work so well, is that people imagine their own relationships and sadness. They don't care about Drake. People interpretate the music internally.

It's like when you hear someone dismiss gangsta rap because it is fake and they are exaggerating the things they say in the songs. Well, it's not about that. It's about that everyone has a guilty pleasure side of them that enjoys the "hit em up" spazzing out. It's fun. We like different types of music to take us into different emotional states. Sentimental, pumped up, nostalgic, wünderlust, it's all fair game.

I see the artist as an empty vessel. A bottle. Not someone who I need to know what he/she stands for or thinks about my favorite toothpaste.

You're a sad sad man. It's not the alpha male shit that gets you laid, it's being able to effectively convey confidence and the ability to succeed. Guess who are pretty good at it?

Being a "nice guy" is shit. Doesn't work. Wanna know why? You're boring her. Think about how many "nice guys" a girl meets, who just desperately want to be in love, hold doors open, always telling them they're gorgeous and replying to every message within a minute, tips their fedora etc.

The idea of being with someone like that is incredibly boring and off-putting. How about getting with someone who can be independent, works towards what they want and gets it, acts the way they want and seems genuine - oh hey, that's a much more interesting choice.

I didn't start to get dates and go out until I grew a backbone, showed myself some respect and go my own way. Try developing agency, it's key.

Also drake is an actor/singer with millions of dollars and international fame. Your "nice guy" coworker mark isn't. Probably plays elder scrolls for 5 hours every night. Yeah.

The fuck you on about dude? You can be calm, caring, kind and thoughtful to women and confident, ambitious, and in control at the same time, my man.

You come off a little puffed up and frustrated.

But he's a famous rapper that's rich.

There's an equation.

It's like niceness+fame^4=desirability

I never said anything contrary to this lol.

When I talk about the "nice guy" stuff in my post, I'm referring to what Zoggy wrote here:

Zoggy said:
So many of his songs are about whining over girls or being distraught over love, the exact opposite of the macho man douchebag personality that some guys think you have to be like to get laid.

You know, that "nice guy". This works for Drake yeah, as it works for so many millionaire superstars, but when random dudes do it on their social medias or whatever it just looks creepy and desperate. That's what I mean by "nice guy" stuff not working.

And yeah, I don't really like it when I start dating a girl and find out that some "close friend" of hers that has been secretly pining after her for years starts calling me an asshole and shit to her friends because he has some weird sense that I "stole" her or I'm "not right for her" or some crap. It's happened multiple times from those "nice guys" I was talking about (which yeah, I used to be one in high school, and it was fucking shitty of me to act that way and assume that my kindness meant I was owed affection or some horseshit).

I'm not talking about guys that are genuinely kind and stuff, if that's what the confusion was about.

Being nice and sentimental doesn't make you finish last, being a boring doormat makes you finish last. Nice guys finishing last is a bullshit myth.

Essentially, yeah.

your right only idiots and losers think you need to be a Dickbag/alpha. These type of men ruin it for every other man out there. Girls become wary of men due to them treating them like shit most of the time. Anyway a good woman knows quality when she sees it, unfortunately there are not a lot of good girls left out there. Way too many of them look for money/success over true love.

However! Drake is a popstar and popstars can be whatever they like and still get the ladies. so I dont think this applies to him. :)

Ew. No offense. Those characteristics are not mutually exclusive. All you did was replace "nice guys" with typical beta male talking points. You're equating the two and one of them is a completely made up thing used to sell Date Coach DVDs

Hotline Bling is literally "Why ya livin life without me, no that's not what's supposed to happen."

All of his songs are fuckboy-ishm

Beyoncés single frame pic at a super bowl (the one where she looked all wrinkly) was plastered all over social media even after her publicist tried his best to delete it from earth.

When jayZ and solange had that thing in the elevator that shit broke in less than 24 hours. Beyoncé got clowned for acting like how Homer Simpson does in that gif where he backs into a bush.

Yes they do try their damn hardest to cultivate a public image but these celeb crazed outlets like TMZ will try their best to "out" them as they can. Let's not forget that every person they come across has a smartphone to access the internet.

Trump has horrible shit leaking daily, if these celebs have massive dirt, you're sure as shit that thing would be trending on facebook yesterdays
Everything a celebrity does is cultivating a public image, no matter how stripped down or how flamboyant it is, intentional or not.
So if you're a private person like a Jay Z or a Beyonce who don't make waves, people will try to find some chink in the armour to attack you on, and if it doesn't exist project whatever hate on you.
Have you heard about how he works his producers? Plus he allegedly got his bodyguards to beat up producer Detail for not agreeing to work exclusively for him:

http://thesource.com/2016/06/26/producer-detail-releases-pictures-following-drake-bodyguard-attack/

Jay-Z is also kind of an asshole.
Nah.

👆 But I'm saying though.

I was about to come up in this thread like... "You must be listening to a different Drake. " Seems like OP is attempting to validate something in his life perhaps?

He may sing soft songs, but drake is just as alpha as anyone. People think he's a simp because of how he acts with Rihanna and nicki minaj and his song lyrics. But he's continuously smashing stripper and models behind the scenes and doing alpha non nice guy stuff all the time

Wouldnt be doing that if he wasn't a world famous singer/rapper from one of the most popular teen/kid shows of our generation.

Claiming Drake is Alpha is like claiming Jermaine Jackson is alpha....I mean, the argument is there, but not really :/
