This is pretty cool, whatever they are doing.

Zarya, McCree, & Mei were simultaniously revealed/released during the beta, and it really threw everyone in a loop. While I wouldn't mind having more than one hero shown, I'm quite fine with the hero releases been spaced apart.

If anything, I want more maps, along with switching the day/night cycle.

Is it possible that Doomfist isn't the next character -- rather, the person that stole the gauntlet is the next character and Doomfist follows?

I thought the person who had the gauntlet called themselves Doom fist and that's why there are multiple. Kind of like James Bond?

So basically its not Doomfist, and Efi probably wont actually be in game at all.

Yeah, that's why Efi is going to be a tank drone. The poster I was responding to was suggesting Efi as one hero and a drone as another hero. Doesn't make sense.

If the leaked info on Reddit is correct, this new hero would be "Anchora" (and I personally thing that leak was legit). If this new hero is a tank, then Doomfist won't be the next character we'll get since I don't think releasing two tanks in a row it's a good idea. Unless "Anchora" is a Support, then in that case bring on Terry Crews!

That would confirm Doomfist as a villain this time around. I'm hoping there is a twist that they are treating Doomfist like the bad guy but he was actually taking the gauntlet to save Numbani all along. The other twist could be that Doomfist is an Omnic who hates his own kind, which could also be cool from a lore standpoint.

It's better to hit her with rein's hammer, imo. Finishing off a D.va is like opening a Kinder Surprise, only instead of a toy, you get the opportunity to close up her gamer speak spewing gob.

So Spider Omnic shortly followed by Doomfist, got it. And agreed with Chindogg; we're clearly getting at least one more tank to balance out Reinhardt (He's my main but I'll happily switch). We'd then need a tankbuster, & a powerful melee fighter sounds right for the job.

So, Jeff Kaplan said in the forums that "24 is not who you think it is".

Later in some event, he was showing a concept art for Overwatch and said "By the way, before our Reddit explodes, the hero in the middle is not who you think it is."

So, do you guys think that punk spidergirl there could be next? I know it's kinda left field... Maybe Kaplan just likes to say samey stuff, or am I reading too much into it?

Biggest mark against something like this is that all future characters have to be able to fit through current game geometry.

This means all the spawn room doors mainly. And currently, Reinhart takes up about 85% of those door frames. So don't expect a hero to be bigger than him.

Thus, that Spider Chick who also happens to be in this image is way too big to be able to fit through some of the smaller spawn doors:

A similar situation had happened with Ana & Sombra respectively, so it wouldn't be too shocking to see Hero number 24/25 be revealed. I hope we also get a new animated short to complement the reveal, as Sombra's was pretty wild.

Just checked the PS4 version (which hasn't been patched recently); both of those posters are already present and seem identical to the current PC version (as seen in those screens).

And here I was thinking they were re-balancing the map. How anyone is still playing this game is beyond me. But I've never been a sucker for lore in my multiplayer games so I guess I just chalk this up to not being a blizzard fan.

A fair criticism, but I find the Overwatch lore to be the icing on the cake, as the game itself is still a blast to play. It isn't a requirement to get the most out of it, which is something I also appreciate.

Of course there are obvious things to change, but Blizzard also explained their update philosophy and how they already tested many things people want from them and they realized that these changes fuck the game up if they are not cautious.

I love all of this. I really need something to pull me back into OW. I love the game, and have put way too many hours into it. But lately as my interest in Competitive fades, I dont find myself going back to the game all that often anymore unless there is an event going on.

New characters will always get me back in. Especially if its this Anchora character.
