HUD question. I turned off quest markets, but they are still showing up. I'm talking about those yellow icons that float on the screen.

I just finished being a little girl and now I'm doing the first mission as teenage/adult Aloy. Will they go away after that or am I missing something?

Oh man, I've never been so engrossed with a game on day 1 before since TLOU. Guerrilla have really hit it out of the park with Horizon.

Work is dragging along, I want to play more of this game so badly. Only a few more hours though. It's exciting that the game is unlocking finally for the EU people. I hope you all enjoy it, the game is amazing!

I agree. Just did like the first few missions after being girl Aloy. Not often I keep playing because I want more!

It will fade when you are not on combat leaving only the compass and the quest mark on screen. You can get a quick glimpse at the HUD by just touching the touchpad once (no clicking). It's super useful.

Does the game struggle to maintain 30 fps in "favor resolution" mode? I assume that "favor performance" is still locked to 30 fps, so is it really worth it with the loss of resolution?

PS4 Pro played on a 1080p non-HDR plasma tv here.

Bruh, I'm playing on normal and every unfamiliar sound sends me diving for the bushes lol. The atmosphere of the game is amazing.

I'm buying new weapons and am crazy excited about it haha.

Got myself a ropecaster and getting one of the other bows. Don't tell me what's the best to get! I'm gonna experiment myself, but I love that it's opened up.

The game is smooth as eggs no matter what setting you put it on.

Whoever likes Souls games do yourself a favor and set the game to Very Hard. Every encounter, even with Watchers, need to be approached carefully or else you will die. It makes you take advantage of every weapon at your disposal and exploit the weekness of every enemy.

Just played the first few mission finally got
into motherheart
LOVING it so far! Game is gorgeous and looking very pretty on my 4k TV and ps4 pro. No HDR unfortunately

Agreed. It's been a long time since I last played a game 10 hours straight and ordered food delivered so I could keep playing.

Well know I feel even worse about my combat skills.

Unlocking the 'dodge prowess' skill has helped immensely though. I was flailing around at the start but having a quick dodge makes the close combat much more fun and manageable.

Again though, having dodge behind an unlock doesn't seem to make sense as its pretty crucial to survivability in battles

Want to start buying some new stuff but man im always extremely low on medal shards and I dont know why. I collect and fight almost everything I see!

Um, so for some reason it seems like all my tracking type icons don't work. When I tag enemies the little triangle doesn't show up, when I track them the path doesn't show up, and the yellow red visual signal thing isn't there. Anyone have any idea what happened?

Do outfits being light, medium or heavy have anything to do with the actual weight? Does heavy make you slower than light? Or are they just quality tiers(higher stats and more mods)?

True, but Kojima said his team used their own tech for hair instead of using Guerilla one and the results were better. Using same engine doesn't mean they can't have their own custom stuff. Maybe Guerlla will use their hair tech in the next game.

Only an hour and a half in so far, seems like a very solid game indeed. Some nit picks I'm sure I'll get used to it, biggest being the kinda floaty camera. I don't like how it changes sides and moves around on it's own. Not quite sure about the voice acting either so far. Brom... smh.

Also had to start on hard since it looks like aim assist can't be turned on on very hard? Been a long time since I have had to aim at stuff with a stick, so I'm rusty as hell and will gladly take all the help I can get. Robots seem to pack a punch on hard too, either way.

How does leveling work in this game? I notice that I'm always a couple levels behind the main quest, right now I'm doing level 12 missions as a level 7. But don't feel like anything is too hard right now.

I'm going in on hard with aim assist off. Very Hard sounds like it'll be a bit too taxing for a first playthrough.

Anyone else have the game freeze during the opening cutscene? It hard resets my ps4 and i have to unplug it to boot it back up

All Hard/Very Hard does is make you do less damage and take more. Resources are the same, I'm playing on Very Hard and I don't have a problem with it. I'm always full.
