Are you for real?
I guess you forgot the "Innovation" and "Easter Eggs" criteria, universally agreed to be equally important as "Gameplay".
I do believe reviews have looked past technical issues because the game is Zelda.
I am hyped to play the game myself but recent games such as Dragons Dogma and Driveclub lost points for technical issues (rightfully so) as it impacted on the game.
I've seen plenty of people complaining about the frame rates on both of those games, particularly Bloodborne.
It's obvious people are shook by metacritic scores lol.
That said, no game should get a 10 in my opinion. There is always another level to go when it comes to games.
How can we be certain this is indeed a hardware limitation?
Nope, sorry. If you look at the videos comparing the two, the Switch version is indistinguishable from the Wii U version. All Nintendo did is bump the res for the tv mode. If you play in portable mode, you may get less frame drops than the WiiU, but you're playing in portable mode....which I will never do.
no comparison to wiiu yet?
As opposed to resolution increases...So bandwith issues or Vsync issues ?

rofl ...struggling to 900p in 2017 on your TV...
this amount of salt.
98/100
Then what about to the Vita? Not even close. It's closer to the Wii U than either of those. Which is understandable given that it's a handheld.
Be that as it may, my understanding of the situation is that frame hiccups in the Wii U version are even worse.
Wait, so if you admit the Switch docked version runs at a higher res, and at least at the same performance level, why would the Wii U be "the one to play"?Nope, sorry. The game drops to 20fps occasionally .
The game doesn't run at 20fps.
It's post patch, they said that much.
Except Nintendo themselves disagree with you.you do realise that the switch is pretty much a mobile platform right? if it was a set-top box I would laugh with you but it's not.
Silly logic since you have to include the price of the Wii U if you do thatWhen you add the fact that the Switch version costs $360+....I think paying that much for the privilege of slightly less frame drops is a sucker's deal.
I bet this is because basically this game was done in Wii U first, and thus a port from a very different architecture and system strengths.
They should at least make an option available to play the game at 720p docked.
For games made from the ground up I hope we don't see such issues.
Then what about to the Vita?

Yea, hopefully. If this was the performance limit that'd be disappointing. So hopefully future games can look better.
MK8D being 1080 60 is a decent sign at least.

Yeah, I concur with the findings. It really feels pretty bad at times - within the first few minutes you're already running into massive 20fps dips that just feel really bad. Combine that with the low resolution and, well, the presentation feels kinda meh.
It does look great in handheld mode, however.
The current best looking Switch game is most certainly Fast RMX, though.

Can you do a test of Kakariko on Switch in docked mode? Its can sometimes get to Blighttown levels so it would be interesting to seeYeah, I concur with the findings. Major framerate drops ==== 100 / 100 PERFECT GAME
The game is still amazing despite the occasional framerate hiccups. It's not constant people, just every now and then depending where you are in the game. It would be nice if Nintendo patched these issues but if not the game is still an incredible experience.

I assume y'all are gonna do a technical pass through the launch games?Yeah, I concur with the findings. Can you do a test of...
Except Nintendo themselves disagree with you.
They say it is a home console first and formost.
Let's wait for release and DF tests, shall we?
To be fair, Nintendo only has themselves to blame as they continue to market it as a home console.you do realise that the switch is pretty much a mobile platform right? if it was a set-top box I would laugh with you but it's not.
