Danganronpa Community Thread: Thrills! Chills! Kills! Despair!

How long did it take you to beat it?

I'm not certain, but it felt longer than the other DR games. I put a good few hours in almost every day since release, which was 11 days ago. This is without touching the post-game bonus modes.

(Incidentally, I probably owe a few people apologies for playing Danganronpa after work instead of following up on non-work things I needed to get done, lol.)

Started Danganronpa 2, it's even more weird than the first one. What is up with Byakuya being overweight? Seeing him do those poses with his classic lines just isn't the same as before hahah.

I don't think there is any way to check how many hours you've put into the game, but I feel like I have already played 30-35 hours and have just started chapter 5 (each chapter maybe around 8 hours or so?). I could be a bit off though. Without a doubt it is substantially longer than Danganronpa and Danganronpa 2. To be honest, although I am definitely enjoying the game, sometimes the pace does drag a little bit!

It's just long in general, I guess. Daily life and school trials both feel like they just have more going on (sometimes to the game's detriment.)

DR2 first trial spoilers

Nagito is totally Makato from DR1. His full name spells out Makoto Naegi, voice actor sounds similar, acts a bit like Kyoko, and is the ultimate lucky student.
Are the future twists supposed to be this obvious?

omg, this is the DR2 OT all over again.

I hope I'm able to keep up with all the newcomers via the 1 + 2 Reload on PS4 posting their reactions, especially ch. 5 from DR2.

Got an email from NISA:

"Thank you for preordering Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Limited Edition on the NISA Online Store!

Here is your unique one time use code that will give you 20% off and free shipping* for both V3 Lapel Pin Sets and V3 Giclee."

Pins are $30 each & that giclee is a whopping $300. Not sure why it can't be used on the shirt.

Edit: NISA teasing V3's release date announcement, hopefully.

Almost a week after my b-day, but 7 more months aarrrggghhhhh

I guess I see it as time to play Zelda & Persona 5.

It seemed like they mentioned the demo, but not sure if they just meant the fact it was made or if it's actually coming to the US.

DR music is excellent work music. I don't know how many times I went through the DR1/DR2 soundtracks junior year of college while I was working in the CS lab.

Looking forward to the V3 OST releasing this Friday.

I added keywords & it seemed to work. Even removed a video that I saw had a word when I added said word to the list.

It WON'T work on search bar suggestions, though. I typed "danganronpa 2" & a character's name, but it still brought up suggestions like "death" & "execution". But it does work on the fact I saw a video involving a character's execution & when turning the extension back on, the video was completely removed from the search result.

Note that this will remove videos from your subscription list, though it'll still show the channel that uploaded the video on your list.

Well, I guess that would be useful. However, I still can't go searching for the OST since there's bound to be a track like "Punishment feat. Arcade Rabbit" that in itself is a massive spoiler.

Add "punishment" to the keyword list (I think only DR2 had the execution music have "punishment" in the title since I know DR1 didn't). Or hell, add "V3" to the keyword list to ensure nothing related to the game pops up if you want to search for content relating to the other games.

Just offering it as a suggestion to anyone who wants to ensure they don't get spoiled by the game via YouTube thumbnail or video title.

V3's execution tracks go back to being named after the actual executions, fwiw. No more "Punishment feat. XX."

Is it as bad as the first DR? I remember the CD that came with the LE actually included those tracks, which kind of sucked since one or two of them kind of hinted at "oh it was for this character because the execution involved this".

Thankfully, NISA was smart with DR2's CD & I hope the same will be true for DRV3's CDs.

Even then, in DR2, just the music was spoileriffic for some. Like just hearing the tracks for execution 2 and 5 in those games made it obvious who they were for.

Cyber Danganronpa VR: The Class Trial hitting US PSN next Tuesday, 10th for EU.

Is it only viewable via PSVR, or can it be watched without it?

So how does the VIta version of V3 hold up? I know since it's mostly a visual novel then there shouldn't be any technical issues with the game, but there's a few other Vita games I've seen that should run fine but just don't lol. I was originally thinking of getting the PS4 version but since I don't foresee myself buying any more Vita games barring a sudden Tales of Innocence R localization, then I'd like my last game for it to be something good.

AFAIK there are no major technical issues besides low voice quality until you install a very large patch.
