So Comey on Monday, then this? We're finally seeing action, and hopefully all the dominos will fall. I know there's been stuff going on, but seeing it is different then it going on in the background.

Is it time to get to the happening bunker?

Not just Comey next week.

FBI Director James Comey, National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers, former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper are expected to be invited.

Monday is the House Hearings and the 30th is Senate.

If nothing is found we fucked probably.

Never bet on Comey.

I've often wondered if Comey was setting himself to look like he might be taking this seriously, only to pop out, "Oops, nothing's there, everything's A-OK!" So the administration and other Republicans can already say it's been seriously looked into.

"Now, back to Benghazi..."

I fully expect Comey to do whatever is best for himself and the republican party.
The best option is to oust Trump. He's already up to 3 Things he could be impeached on(taking Clinton's impeachment/Republicans threatening Clinton with Impeachment as a basis) without Russia factoring in:

Botched a raid as CiC by being distracted and tweeting

Accusing a former president of wiretapping with no evidence

Erasing official government records(He's deleted tweets he made from the official Potus account iirc)

I don't see how Sane Republicans can look at Trump and not see him for the walking Disaster Fire he is, with all that entails and more.

Then again, this is the party that had 6 years to make a plan to repeal Obamacare And that's not happening any time soon.

Wondered that myself...

You're actually leaving out the myriad of ways he's violating the emoluments clause right this second. In truth there's a mountain of things to impeach him over and it only grows by the day.

As much as I want them to be true, I think the left is getting too emotionally invested in the Russia stuff.

No shit.

Let the Russia stuff play out, but focus on health care and the budget. Focus on what actually impacts people's lives, and what'll actually impact the ballot box in 2018/2020.

I think its worth really obsessing over. I'm not even American and this is beyond important. Fuck Russia tbh.

But gotta go about this properly. Left can't let go on policy.

Specifically, I find it upsetting that Democrats aren't going after Trump Admin on foreign policy. The stuff with Tillerson and Korea is ripe material.

Its because there is a definite feeling that all the fuckery is to get peoples' attention off of Russia. A lot of his fuck ups can be handled in court as well.

I left out the Emoluments clause mostly because it remains relatively untested(even though the bitching by Republicans with Carter's Farm vs the silence regarding Trump's businesses), but "Botched Military exercise", "deleted records related to official government business", and "baseless attacks of political opponents" are all things that Republicans decried Clinton, with the first two being viewed as criminal( "Lock Her Up!" And all that shit).

Otherwise, yeah, the mountain of evidence continues to pile up. I just hope everyone in his administration goes down with him.

Getting really fucking tired of everyone saying "but this is what he campaigned on!!!" As a defense for every ignorant, cold-hearted downright stupid thing Phantom Hands does.

Especially because of the whole "Seriously, but not literally" thing

Think she's learned from her employer Glenn Beck how to say something reasonable every so often in order to get attention from those outside your usual audience, then go right back to spitting venom.

It's not like pro-life women don't exist
I know they exist(My sister is one) and I'm as Pro-Life a Pro-choicer can get(Abortion should be the last option on the list, Birth Control/Pre-Natal/Maternal Leave need to be better recognized, etc), but no one likes being told what they can't do by people who don't have the same situation.

Women being pro-life: Fine, whatever, it's your decision, your body, etc

Men being pro-life: why? It doesn't effect you at all.

It'd be like giving a bus driver the ability to regulate your marriage, as the issues in play don't affect them in any way.

A pro-life woman wouldn't just be saying what they can do with their body, they'd be saying what other women can do with their bodies, too. If they aren't saying other women can't have abortions either, they'd be considered pro-choice, right?

Tammy's probably seeking attention since her star has been fading for a bit while she rots at The Blaze.

I dunno, I'm seeing her more and more on my Facebook feed. She'll probably suffer like the rest of conservative pundits under Trump though because she won't be able to rant about Obama and liberals destroying the country and instead will have to spend time defending Trump

Just because Emoluments was never infringed before doesn't mean it should be left alone now.

Honestly, this is one very specific thing where courts need to make an exception for the requirement of standing that's making the issue so complicated. There is a very clear constitutional intention to stop undue influence before it has a chance to cause harm, even if that harm is completely in line with the constitution.

Standing is a very important self check on the balance of powers, but it just makes no sense to apply it to this specific case, where the constitution requires them to be a check on the executive.

It's maddening to watch institutions try to prop up certain traditions to the point of outright ignoring a president that's tearing away the standard practice that those traditions relied on. They shouldn't tear down those traditions, just acknowledge situations those traditions aren't built to handle and do something about it.

John Rivello Arrested as Suspect Accused of Causing Newsweek Writer Kurt Eichenwald's Seizure via Twitter
An alleged Twitter troll behind a virtual attack that caused Newsweek senior writer Kurt Eichenwald to suffer a seizure was arrested on Friday for cyberstalking. The suspect faces federal charges and could face additional counts in Dallas, where Eichenwald lives, according to the writer.

Steven Lieberman, Eichenwald’s lawyer, named the suspect as John Rivello. A law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity initially confirmed the name, and a United States Department of Justice statement further confirmed it Friday evening. FBI officials arrested the man at his home in in Salisbury, Maryland, around 7 a.m. Friday, according to Lieberman. Rivello was expected to appear at a hearing in federal court in Baltimore on Friday afternoon, the lawyer said.
The Justice Department released additional details Friday afternoon after Rivello appeared in court. A search warrant found that in direct messages to other Twitter users, Rivello wrote, “I hope this sends him into a seizure,” “Spammed this at [victim] let’s see if he dies,” and “I know he has epilepsy.” The search warrant also found screenshots on Rivello’s iCloud account “from epilepsy.com with a list of commonly reported epilepsy seizure triggers,” the Justice Department said, and other screenshots related to Eichenwald.

Since the December incident, more than 40 other people have sent similar strobing images to Eichenwald, the writer tweeted on Friday. He said that “details of their cases are with the FBI.” A spokesperson for the FBI office in Dallas said she could not comment on ongoing investigations.

She helped destroy the economy of Greece by not allowing Greece to ever deficit spend their way out of their catastrophic depression.

Spain also not in a good place.

Italy is also very poorly off. In fairness, this is a problem with the EU in general rather than Merkel specifically. It's probably a bit of a leap to expect Merkel to advocate for a monetary policy that makes Germans poorer -- that's really the job of the ECB or the EU president.

Nobody really cares about foreign policy that much. As someone just trying to get on with life, it doesn't make much difference to your day to day life if the US sends weapons supplies to Syrian rebels or not.
