So, I think off of the first listen I fuck with about 8 tracks out of 21. With Views, I fucked with 7 out of the 19 new tracks. So, about the same. Weirdly enough, the fucking MVP on this thing is Young Thug. He really did some cool things with his features.

Oh, looking forward to that one at least. But why "weirdly enough"? Thugga pretty much always kills features.

EDIT: Ughh, first song in and his monotonous flow is already annoying.

I don't really fuck with Young Thug the way that most others here do i.e. Jeffrey was nowhere near my favorite rap project of 2016. So, it was surprising to me for him to have a feature that wasn't only dope but also kind of a shift from his normal sing-song style.

Get it Together is niiiiicccceeee

Young Thug is fun music to listen to, I really don't care about his rapping quality, that shit is nice to listen to.

I mean, he's enjoyable in situations where you need bangers e.g.the gym or at a party. I appreciate what he's doing in terms of rap, but his songs don't connect with me in the same way it does for you or Helmholtz. Maybe it's just that I don't listen to his songs casually and so I haven't had that moment where it clicks for me and I become that rabid fan. It's not like I hate him, I just haven't found a song by him that clicks the same way "March Madness" did or "T-Shirt" did.

Aside, the production on Glow is amazing. 40 and Kanye did their things on that track and it shows,

1 track in and this is already better than views
First track is trash. Get It Together was nice at least. The Blem beat is cool. At 4422 now. He's not on every song, right? Isn't it supposed to be like a "label sampler"?

EDIT: Mhhhhh, Sampha on 4422.

Drake needs to stop begging it with London... this accent... Also "blem" is slang for cigarettes in London so this odd to listen to for me.
oh and wow Drake's got a song with Black Coffee.

I think he's basically on every track. This is an album, fuck out of here with that playlist shit.
Young thug is basically gangnam style. You'll move on soon enough
The fuck is this shit

Quick question, what's with the heavy Asian fertilization and racism in rap rn? Was in the car listening to something last night, all I recall hearing was ching chong, then you have Kelly Price...then you have that one Weeknd joint with the dumbass wordplay. Just wondering

Okay, I have to admit, I'm really liking the subdued, dreamy production. And yeah, Thugga sounds refreshingly different on Sacrifices. But man, that accent on some of the tracks. And songs like Lose You I just can't listen to anymore. Overall, still too many bland, unremarkable songs. Don't see myself going back to this much. As expected.

I won't lie, I'm not casually listening to him much anymore either (I had a long Thugga phase two years ago, though). Barter 6 elevated him for me back then and became my AOTY because Thugga sounded so fresh to me and really opened me up completely for this new sound and wave of rappers. Maybe listen to Barter 6 front to back. It's pretty laid-back and more fitting for a casual listen unlike the banger-heavy mixtapes.

drake track 14 teenage fever samples a song form the past I totally forgot about but loved it. Anyone remember the song?
Of course, lol. Was a hit back then.

whats with this medieval flute.
I was already noticing this trend after Get Right Witcha, Mask Off and Tunnel Vision. I'm liking it though.
Lol, yeah, joked about 2017 being the year of the flute in Rap a few days ago and now there's another one. Loving it, haha.

Barter 6 is in my gym playlist so I do listen to it quite often, which was the same case with DS2. I've added Slime Season 3 and JEFFREY as well to there.

Why the hell is Drake still signed to Young Money/Cash Money at this point?

You act like he can leave when he wants to. It's possible that he signed like a 10 album deal or something. Even then, Drake apparently has one of the best deals in music. He isn't getting ghetto gagged by Birdman like Wayne or others are.
