Something I don't understand... Aren't the levels supposed to be randomized ? Every time I die I end up in the same room configuration, just with different items or enemies combination.

It's decent but there are quite a few drops. Certain item synergies like Brimstone x Tammy's Head slow down the game, fighting Mom's Heart/It Lives with a Retro Vision pill active will tank the framerate while the console is docked, and full screen effects like butt bombs will tank the game when combined with large enemies like Mom's foot or Daddy Long Legs will also slow the game down.

Had a fantastic run going with The Ludovico Technique that also tracked enemies. Problem is, the tracking kept pulling the tear off Mom so I ended up dying. Helluva item though, I hadn't had that before. With a buddy or two I could have beaten her easily.

Wow, thats no small feat. Musta been some damn good pickups and not too many of the real BS enemies.

Ugh...why can't I grasp how things work? Feel so slow/stupid. How are my European brothers and sisters able to buy eShop cards? People made it sound like it was super easy...

So I set up my new Nintendo account, picked US region.

Tried using EU CC (as corroborated by others) didn't work.

Created amazon account, they noticed I was trying to purchase from South Africa = nogo.

Sorted out VPN solution. Went through purchase process using US residential details. Reached a point where I was told to wait 2h for some verificaton process (no funds deducted from my CC yet...) but of course I'm extremely sceptical that I/my purchase will pass.

So I ask again, how on earth am I supposed to buy US eShop credits? #sad...

A) because I'm sure people are tired of answering eShop/region/account questions in an (well...at least semi-) unrelated thread and b) if I no solution then I'm putting my hopes of cross region purchases on indefinite hold, no matter how strong my desire to get on that Isaac train again is.

I've just had my best run so far! Tech X is op. For some reason in the last floor I was finding red chests in almost every room! And I killed mom for the first time. I also managed to unlock 2 characters, loads of challenges and more things I didn't even understand.

'Cause no one explained this phenomenon yet, be advised that there is a trinket - the Left Hand, in this instance - that will change gold chests to red chests when held.

This is worthwhile to limit your item drop pool to get Guppy items... but it's worthwhile to drop this trinket once you've triggered Guppy for better pickups from the gold chests.

Yesterday I had to wait 30/60 minutes with my order, but luckily it went through after that. And you don't need a VPN! Just change your country in your settings (it's under "manage your content and device" for some reason).

I really dislike the art of this game. The let's plays look super repetitive. I think I will take a hard pass. Shame this got a physical and Fast RMX didn't.

I bought it. This many people cant be wrong about the game and GCU means it was only $30.

Played this until my battery ran low, docked it, then continued on my TV. The Switch dream finally happened for me. (I've only played 10 minutes of Zelda). I love this system.

Get one of those wall adapters with USB plugs and a USB-C cable. Charges faster than even Zelda can drain the battery. I can play handheld on the couch forever.

Well on Steam the base version of Rebirth is $15 while its first expansion Afterbirth is $11 and the second DLC Afterbirth+ is $10. In total that's $36 but is $40 retail. Costs the same digitally because retailers won't stock your stuff if you're selling cheaper than they are.

Windows is kind of the one version that facilitates rapid run resets because of the speed running community. No other version has incorporated it.

That sucks, I can buy eshop digital codes from Amazon US even though I'm from the UK without the need of a VPN. Are you 100% sure you're trying to buy the digital code rather than the card that gets delivered?

Um, so I bought this game on Friday, but I hadn't taken the shrink wrap off until now....Popped it in, downloaded an update, and now every time I try to boot it up, I get an error message: The software was closed because an error occurred.

I got that too. I was in disbelief for a little bit. Go to the settings to manage data, delete the data for the game, and then launch the software without updating it. It should work fine. Not sure why it's happening to only some people.

Love the game, but Nicalis seems to need better QA in general.
