I notice you say that about a lot of ecchi shows, but isn't that like missing like half the point of the show?

Like saying Jojo would be better if they didn't have stands.

I guess I'm a fan of the tone and comedy of the ecchi shows more than anything else. They are generally, really fun shows to watch and put a smile on my face. I mean, I'm immature at heart, so ecchi comedy/sophomoric humor is always fun for me.

Uh1I813.jpg

Yes, mother approved "naked aprons" are always the best way to go. Issei you lucky dog you.

Seriously speaking though, this show would be pretty fun without all the boobs flashing around. The action scenes are, generally, well done, the characters are interesting, the world is interesting, the comedy is on point and the tone is great; it's a really FUN show to watch. Just so many nips man, there's like, never a "good" time to watch an episode........

Don't you watch anime at work. I wouldn't advise to watching DxD or any other ecchi show at work.

LOL, hells no. Well, not like anyone sits next to me anyhow, but yeah, breaks are good for it. I'm in a great situation at the moment and I would NOT want to fuck that up with some random onlooker assign by my area, lol.

I'm just saying, I think Araki could've done more with Hamon. :p

Everyone bringing out the naruto memorial arts.

I have to say, the dissonance between how Bleach ended and how Naruto did is something else. They both declined, but Naruto gets the heartwarming parade while Bleach got told to fuck off.

Understood the situation. Do watch anime at my work during the slow day here and my coworker know I watch it but as someone who is senior there, no one really say much about it except saying kid to me once a while.

Next season for anime op ed songs is going to be good for me, some of my favorite song artists are going to be in many songs, surprised for (K)NoW_NAME especially, glad they didnt go the way of the dinosaur after Grimgar.

Masamune-kun's $hitty revenge story- END(thank God)
Oh well, this was pretty good for the firswt few episodes, then got melodramatic and confusing, then went down the $hitter with the NTR arc. In the end, nothing was answered, nothing resolved and nothing really happened...

The whole premise of the show wasn't followed up on. This was garbage.

Like Fuuka, this show gets:

RS is having a Sentai Flash Sale. Spend $50 and get $5 RS Bucks to spend back in April
A bunch of blurays are $15, $20 or $25.
http://www.rightstufanime.com/sales-and-promos/Weekend-Sale?order=onlinecustomerprice:desc

since you only have to get to $50 for free shipping it's not terrible, but I think the sentai store flash sale the other week had almost all of the shows on there for a few dollars cheaper.

I'm looking through now to see if there is anything of interest for me but I see little busters for $20 which I know was $17.99 per part the other weekend.

my point not being that this is a bad sale, but instead that sentai store will likely have another sale in the next few months that will let you save a decent amount if you plan to make a large order.

edit: there are a few shows on sale on right stuf that weren't on sale in the last sentai sale.

It's not like the mecha is the star of the whole thing. It's involvement is cool, but it's not the main focus.

There's a gattai in every episode, your argument is invalid.

Naruto Shippuden: Season 17 Episode 500 – Hidden Leaf Story, The Perfect Day for a Wedding, Part 7: The Message END

So it's seven eps of just wedding stuff, starting right where Shikamaru arc ended ? Might take it up.

Are these the guys with yellow subtitles and other issues?

even if by default they have yellow subtitles, if you watch them on a computer, most video players allow you to change the color and style of the subtitles as long as they aren't hard coded (which they wouldn't be for a release like this)

I don't know of any other major issues with sentai releases though.

and I think the last few I watched all had white subtitles.

I havent seen sentai use yellow subs on disc releases for main dialogue in years

Seriously? The last disc release I bought from them (Gatchaman Crowds Insight on BD, which released in November) had yellow subs. In fact, every Sentai release I own, with the exception of Hidamari Sketch S2 on BD (I'm assuming due to an error) has yellow subs.

Sentai discs have been known to have issues with video quality and QC, though these issues have been less prominent over the last few years. I would check out reviews of the discs themselves before buying, since Sentai tends to be quite the mixed bag.

You really need to drop more shows. Crap like this isn't worth your time.

Follow your heart.
You know it leads you to Tsugumomo
Ero and Tsug are a mighty 1-2 punch....

Eromanga is definitely not going to headline the Spring OT.

Some Ideas:

Attack on Titan 2
Season 2 of:
Centuries ago, mankind was slaughtered to near extinction by monstrous humanoid creatures called titans, forcing humans to hide in fear behind enormous concentric walls. What makes these giants truly terrifying is that their taste for human flesh is not born out of hunger but what appears to be out of pleasure. To ensure their survival, the remnants of humanity began living within defensive barriers, resulting in one hundred years without a single titan encounter. However, that fragile calm is soon shattered when a colossal titan manages to breach the supposedly impregnable outer wall, reigniting the fight for survival against the man-eating abominations.
After witnessing a horrific personal loss at the hands of the invading creatures, Eren Yeager dedicates his life to their eradication by enlisting into the Survey Corps, an elite military unit that combats the merciless humanoids outside the protection of the walls. Based on Hajime Isayama's award-winning manga, Shingeki no Kyojin follows Eren, along with his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and his childhood friend Armin Arlert, as they join the brutal war against the titans and race to discover a way of defeating them before the last walls are breached

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria
Sword princess Aiz Wallenstein. Today, once again, the strongest female swordsman heads to the giant labyrinth known as the "Dungeon" along with her allies. On the 50th floor where mysteries and threats such as a decayed dragon's corpse that crumbles to ash and an irregularity that creeps ever closer to the party loom, Aiz calls for the wind and heads deeper into the darkness of the Dungeon. Eventually, she finds herself meeting a boy for the first time. "Um, are you OK?" In the Labyrinth City of Orario, the contrasting stories of the boy and the girl intersect!

My Hero Academia 2
Season 2 of:
The appearance of "quirks," newly discovered super powers, has been steadily increasing over the years, with 80 percent of humanity possessing various abilities from manipulation of elements to shapeshifting. This leaves the remainder of the world completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is one such individual.
Since he was a child, the ambitious middle schooler has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku's unfair fate leaves him admiring heroes and taking notes on them whenever he can. But it seems that his persistence has borne some fruit: Izuku meets the number one hero and his personal idol, All Might. All Might's quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku to be his successor!
Enduring many months of grueling training, Izuku enrolls in UA High, a prestigious high school famous for its excellent hero training program, and this year's freshmen look especially promising. With his bizarre but talented classmates and the looming threat of a villainous organization, Izuku will soon learn what it really means to be a hero.

Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul
Thousands of years ago, the ancient dragon Bahamut wrought havoc upon the land of Mistarcia, a world where both gods and demons live amongst mankind. Working together to prevent the world's destruction, the rival deities barely managed to seal Bahamut, agreeing to split the key between them so that the dragon would remain eternally imprisoned.
With the world safe from the destruction of Bahamut, it is business as usual for bounty hunters like Favaro Leone. Living a laid-back, self-serving lifestyle, the amoral Favaro goes about his work while on the run from fellow bounty hunter Kaisar Lidfard, a righteous man who swears vengeance upon Favaro. However, Favaro's carefree life is thrown into chaos when he meets Amira, a mysterious woman who holds half of the key to the world's fragile peace.
Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis tells the story of a group of unlikely heroes who find themselves caught in the middle of an epic clash between gods and demons, forced to carve their own path in the face of the imminent storm.

What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?
Five hundred years have passed since the humans went extinct at the hands of the fearsome and mysterious 'Beasts'. The surviving races now make their homes up on floating islands in the sky, out of reach of all but the most mobile of Beasts.
Only a small group of young girls, the Leprechauns, can wield the ancient weapons needed to fend off invasions from these creatures. Into the girls’ unstable and fleeting lives, where a call to certain death could come at any moment, enters an unlikely character: a young man who lost everything in his final battle five hundred years ago, the last living human awakened from a long, icy slumber.
Unable to fight any longer, Willem becomes the father that the girls never had, caring for and nurturing them even as he struggles to come to terms with his new life, in which he feels the pain of helplessly waiting for his loved ones to return home from battle that his 'Daughter' once felt for him so long ago. Together, Willem and the girls gradually come to understand what family means and what is truly worth protecting

The Eccentric Family 2
2nd Season of:
Kyoto has been populated by groups of tanuki and tengu for years, living alongside humans who are oblivious to the existence of these creatures. Yasaburou Shimogamo is the third son of an influential tanuki family who spends his carefree days taking care of an old tengu, observing humans through his ability to shapeshift, and dealing with the mysterious woman named Benten.
Behind the peace and tranquility, however, is a painful memory from long ago as Yasaburou's father, head of the tanuki community, was killed and eaten by a group of humans known as the Friday Fellows. Uchouten Kazoku follows the trials and tribulations of the Shimogamo brothers as they struggle to avoid their own grisly demise while coming ever closer to unraveling the truth behind their father's death.

As the Moon, So Beautiful
Kotarou Azumi and Akane Mizuno became third year students at junior high school and are classmates for the first time. These two, along with fellow classmates, Chinatsu Nishio and Takumi Hira, relate to their peers through mutual understandings and feelings. As their final year at junior high school progresses, the group overcome their challenges to mature and become aware of changes in themselves

Sakura Quest
In the wake of a nationwide movement during the Bubble economy period, a small town in the countryside has revived its "mini-nation" tourism program; hiring five girls as travel ambassadors. The series will follow a year's time of the five girls as they work in the tourism agency of a small failing town in an effort to reinvigorate it

Fukumenkei Noise
Nino, a girl who likes to sing, experienced two farewells in the past. First, with her first love, Momo, and second, with Yuzu, a boy who composes music. But upon those two farewells, she made a promise with each of them: to continue singing until they find her voice again. Time has passed, and now these three are in high school...?!

Clockwork Planet
One day, a black box suddenly crashed into the house of the high school dropout Naoto Miura. Inside it was a female automaton. The endless cycle of failure and success.
The world that does change and the mankind that does not change. At a time where reality and fantasy are screaming, the encounters of these two make the gears of fate move!

Eromanga is going to test a lot of people but Tsugumomo is fucking comedy gold with solid action scenes. Think of it as another Highschool DxD.

I think Eccentric Family 2 is the only thing I'm genuinely excited for on that list, there are a few others I'm interested but usually with a caveat or two. What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?, why that title and why Leprechauns? Still shades of Gunslinger Girls have me interested but Gosick didn't grab me which is the only other thing of the directors I've seen anything of. Has anyone read the source LNs or the manga adaptation?

Tsugumomo is 100% better than DXD but the anime doesn't seem like it will be as good as the manga from what we've seen.

The action is also way better than solid, it's god tier.

It sounds really interesting, but it does have the "Romance" tag and is LN based, so it's a toss-up as to how that is handled....

w-w-what.

This whole affair of Minko wanting to NTR herself is just some top tier of awful. I hate this Okada penchant for escalating what could have been reasonable conflicts/problems, into those shrill, melodramatic confrontations with nay a drop of logic in sea of stupidity that most often underlies character's actions.

I'm so conflicted when it comes to these types of trashy shows because they are often the most fun to watch with lighthearted tones and good comedy (I like sophomoric humor dammit) but once they start mixing in Loli $hit, it gets awkward in my head, lol.

While I apparently quit before shit got real, outside of the art and some flashes of humour, Tsugumomo is just the latest batch of pedophilia with drearilyuninteresting story arcs and characters.

I was kinda hoping that Minko and Tohru could form and develop a nice relationship throughout the show, after overcoming the initial struggles at least. So that you could then enjoy this stuff on the side. But yeh, that just ain't happening with Okada. Though, people actually becoming a pair before the show's over or near over hardly happens in anime to begin with.

Fricking Nagi no Asukara was terrible in that aspect, too. Everything's just drama with basically no catharsis and relationship 'pleasantness' to give you a break from time to time.

Anime Japan's this weekend right?

What kind of announcements are you guys hoping for?

I think a good chunk of them have already happened, I posted most of them earlier today the only one I didn't post was

Nana Maru San Batsu TV Anime Gets 12 Episodes, Synopsis, Official English Title
7O3X Fastest Finger First.

I mean I am sure there will be a few more but a good number of series have already been announced today. And in general I don't expect a ton of announcements from events anymore.

Tsugumomo has fantastic action scenes.

Just... don't read it at work, or in front of other people, or if you don't like ecchi, or if borderline hentai creeps you out.

Good art though.

The NGNL Zero trailer. Apparently, the novel (NGNL vol 6) it's based on is pretty good and is standalone from the rest of the series.
