Kendrick song is aight; while many lines can be seen as directed towards Drake I feel like he's going for Big Sean here ("little bitch", "Hall Of Fame", Sean dissing Kendrick on No Interviews without mentioning him, etc.)

Also pretty dope that the album will release so soon

"hello?" "this is vagina"
There's like five different tracks in this Kendrick song. The production coming out TDE has been insane lately, there's beats artists would spend minutes on that they use for a few seconds of flavour.

Gotta clear my diary for April 7th.

Beat at the start reminds me of Toto. Then that little soul bit before that nasty bassline comes in, oof. I should make a list of the greatest TDE beat switches.

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
Kendrick track is aight. Didn't blow me away, but I liked it. The Gorillaz tracks were kinda meh.

That new Raekwon is legit. Haven't listened to that Desiigner.

Never heard of the second artist, but really impressed with it, soulful throwback hip-hop somewhere between Quelle Chris and Odyssey.

...Also Enzo paying homage to Gucci ain't new bruh, never heard of Gucci Kray LaGoth I take it.

Can't shake the feeling that deep down The Roots are struggling to stay silent and are pissed about having to work for Fallon right now after the embarrassing Trump appearance last year and in general during these times where it's almost fucking irrresponsible not to address politics in some form as an entertainer/host.

Revisiting the Roots discography and I'm coming to the slow realization that they've got 2 classics (Illadelph, Things...), and the rest is a bit...middling. Like maybe you could cobble together a great album from selections of the rest but yeah...

I hope Game Theory still holds up, I remember that one fondly

I really fucks with How I Got Over.

How come?
Finally a rapper with something to say.
Not trying to troll. The new track is nowhere near AMAZING WOW KENDRICK THE RAP GOD GOAT. Haven't felt any of his stuff and features in the last two years, tbh. Many verses he absolutely didn't ride the beats on and rapped way too technical and clumsily. That recent Mike Will feature snippet sounded weak too. And let's not even talk about his absolutely embarrassing Pop features (click and refresh your mind because you probably wanted to forget about these for a good reason). God, when he does that Eminem getting-louder-and-more-aggressive-over-several-lines flow... ughhh.

Feels like in general his rapping fast and having seemingly amazing Bars™ is already enough for everyone to lose their minds from now on. I already found Control super corny back then and ever since it sounds like he tries hard to impress the Real Rap audience with non-sensical lyrical-miracle verses like on the That Part remix and many other.

Can you explain what about the that part remix you found "lyrical miracle"?

You can not like kendrick's recent features and such but I've never found the lyrical miracle stuff to be a sound argument, at all. Its not like he's saying shit just to say it where the words don't actually mean anything like eminem does.

What "many others" did you find to be lyrical miracle raps?

His verse on Isaiah Rashad's album?
His verse on 21 shots?
Holy Key?
Deep Water?
Vice City?
Really Doe?

Like I said, you can not like kendrick's style or what not but I'm not sure what you're expecting if you've been following Kendrick's career, he never just rides a beat.

Yeah, his pop features were bad( on bad pop songs) but both his maroon 5 and sia features probably last 25 seconds combined.

I thought the feature on ransom 2 was dope, as was the Thundercat feature.

All I know is that Kendrick ruined TLOP with the worst verse on the album, on a track that should have just been a chill "talk slick" track with a rambling story that no one can even explain or understand without going to Rap Genius.

What Kendrick bars can you quote? Does he have any recent bars that anyone can even put in a tweet or mention in passing conversation or quote to a friend? Listen to Kanye's That Part verse and then tell me Kendrick is doing any of his features right.
