Will this be the show to unite animal girls fans and idol fans?

But that already happened!

[Rakugo S2] - Finale

I feel a little isolated here, but I have to say I basically loved this episode. I can see it's been somewhat divisive, and not without good cause, but none of the events here really bothered me (except that we didn't get to see a Konatsu performance. Why is this show so sexist???)

Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu S2 11-12 END

Show really sealed the deal in episode 10, much of the events we see in these couple of episodes conclude my convictions but it was nonetheless a bliss to watch.

Moonraito

Boyhood - Who are you

Moonlight - I'm you, but stronger

Legend of the Galactic Heroes 095

I think I counted five different "If only xxxx were here" or similar lines in this episode alone

Weird, I agree with you for once. What is the world coming to?
:p but yeah I really don't get what the fuss is about. It's a pretty great final episode. And I'm not bothered by who Konatsu or Yakumo choose to sleep with.

Fucking lmao. Tales of Zesty Axe isn't ending this Sunday. There's a 25th episode which they can't air because they ran out of slots. So... the series will end on April 29 instead, as a special broadcast.

I mean it's cool they are giving us 1 more episode for a proper conclusion. They are many shows that needed that one more episode. It's not like we are waiting months for it either.

Basically a non-ending, though it was to be expected considering the S2 announcement. In any case, it was a good first half and I'm excited about the future. A lot of interesting characters didn't get much exposition, but I'm sure they'll play a more important part on the second half.

Altair is airing in the summer and is a continuous 2 cour show. MAPPA will indeed have three shows airing at once.

Everybody pray for Shaft and Dr. Movie.

I basically loved it, but I would have loved it more if it had cut that one moment.

I'm for it. I'm sure nobody would miss Spring.

I would miss spring.

Yea, it could've done without that but they wanted to reassure that Yakumo was
succeeded not just in spirit but also blood.
Even so, it's a bit ridiculous given their relationship in general,
at least when she was young.

Seiren - 12

FINALLY A CHILDHOOD FRIEND WINS. CUTE ENDING/10

Urara Meirochou END

Man I'm going to miss the lesbian brigade, they have excellent tastes.

Kuzu no Honkai 11

I guess even a villain like her can get a happy ending.

Code Geass S1

This was the next anime me and my friends decided to watch. After finishing the first season all I can really say is... ehhhhh. It was an okay watch but it really didn't do much for me. Some of the fights were pretty cool though. Honestly don't like most of the characters in the show.

This guy was my fav though

The Wind Rises

Thematically strong film that shows an artist/designer's perspective of his work without extricating it from its negative consequences. On the other, hand it does high light how much of an advantage it would be given they have the chance to put their visions into practice. A lot of the times when the lead character travels by train, they highlight the problems as a result of ground travel (prone to earthquakes, lack of safety for pedestrains etc.). Essentially, flight for travel.

On relationships, it reminds me of an infographic I had seen on the process of creating something great, there usually will be a low point during which your relationships(family, friends) will help you get over, in this case when Horikoshi's plane failed, he was down and depressed but encountering Satomi and falling in love with her helped him get over it and build something better.

Overall, it seems to have the same effect as it was with most Miyazaki films I've seen, strong on themes, ideas or representation of them, they even give me much to ponder about but ultimately, I am left with little to take home by the end of it. It's not bad by any means but there's little that lands a lasting impression and that's subjective I suppose. Noteworthy comment on Caproni's line that one's creative energy doesn't last beyond 10 years, keeping in mind Miyazaki was involved in the making of this who is rather known for coming out of retirement frequently.

By god how much do they smoke, IIRC this film ran into some controversy regarding this habit. It was worse when he decided to smoke in the same room as his wife who had a lung disorder (to be fair, he insisted on smoking outside but she let him).

Yeah I'm off on Fridays and Saturdays so I'm normally able to binge a 12-episode series if I have nothing to do. :p

Well you chose a great show to binge, watching Chitose grow was one of my highlights last year, I can't remember if it or Tanaka-kun got 4th spot in my AOTY but it was up there. Hope more people check it out, really enjoyed showing the more cynical side of the industry!

So tomorrow's Tiger Mask W is bringing back the duo that did episode 4.

Haruka Kamatani on directing/storyboarding and Kodai Watanabe as animation director.

Should be fun.

I'm not ready, I've still got like 9 episodes to get through <_>

Time to binge it over the course of a day.

God damn it rakugo, you were supposed to be the chosen one.

Now you're just gross gross gorss gorss gorrss gross gross gross gross.

Gross.

It's like Usagi Drop all over again.

Fucking anime.

Fuck.

Well at least Uchoten Kazuko S2 will have 0 competition for AOTY now.

Just one questionable scene.

Just one scene that spits on the adorable relationship I thought they were building this season.

Just one scene that completely ruins how I think of the main character.
even if you ignore the obvious raised her as a kid and is basically adopted father/daughter shit the fucked up state of mind konatsu seemed to be in alone makes what he did super gross.

Just because it was the closest some fujo could get to the two guys having a baby.

Gross gross gross.

btw OT but what fuuka episode does the truck stuff happen, I just want to watch that part.

Is Orochimaru the greatest deconstruction of shounen villain ?

> Spend 7 episodes on preparation for the wedding

> Don't show the actual wedding.

This may have been an adaptation of another novel or something but still, as the very end of the franchise, you wanted something more. Still vastly above average filler arc as the art and direction was surprisingly good. (Though not in 498 and weirdly enough, in 500) The Last may have been the very worst love story ever told but I dig this era's the chara designs more and more.

It doesn't happen.

Konatsu basically got worked in the finale. There's the disturbing stuff about Sukeroku's dad and you didn't get to see her perform once in the finally, despite everyone making a big deal about how she was now a performer.
