Yeah alright I'll probably watch that. Taken good cues from Marvel, hoping the movie actually delivers on the trailer promises.
- Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot omg. Match made in heaven.
- The Flash speedforce shit looks great. Completely unexpected.
- Cyborg was fine. It's a good idea to turn him into DC's kinda-Iron-Man. Way better than the random "let me track xy and shoot a rocket or two" character from various other series.
- Batman obviously is the best part of this. I like him to have a bit of snark, and given Superman's "death" making him collect the idiots that are the JLA there's a good excuse of him being the boss in the end, and not Supes.
- Superman's part in this trailer is the highlight of his DC Cinematic Universe career. Well done.
- Aquaman looks like he'd be way more fun than I thought he would be. Expected growly moody underwater Batman with a pitchfork and dolphin friends, and got grumpy Peter Parker with a beard and Moses powers. That's alright with me.
- The colors are soooo baaaad. Make it more colorful instead of a jillion blue tones.
- The music is a good mix of pre/after Suicide Squad trailer business. Could easily have been another goddamn emo version with slow drums of the same song, this one was okay. Catchy and fun.
- I still don't know who the enemy is. Or the guy on top of that cliff. Was that Jonathan Darkseid or something?
- Also I still dislike most of the Flash costume and still not sold on that Barry. I guess it's passable though. The costume I mean.
- Holy fuck Snyder likes his WW ass shots. Also, WW sure likes her warrior princess thong.
- I can't count how often I heard the "There's a problem coming!" - "It's already here!" exchange. Like damn. Couldn't think of a better setup?
- I liked how the motherbox (?) looked otherworldly. Will it PING?
- I disliked how the parademons (?) looked stupid. I guess you need your enemy putty army these times for superhero teamups.
- Weirdly enough I really like Cyborg's voice.
- "It's on him." Ha!
- "I'm rich." Ha!
- Why on earth did they think a random cyborg football scene would somehow be a better fit for the trailer than more friggin' Batman! Just admit the guy has no backstory that's worth a crap.
- Some photography looks really dang good. This movie, however it'll turn out, will be great visually.
- "Dressed like a bat. I dig it." Ha!
This looks to me like a parallel universe trailer in which the rights to DC somehow fell to Marvel Studios but they are contractually obliged to keep Snyder.
I'm still having a hard time believing it'll turn out anything but subpar but I dig the trailer and I think it might turn out to be the best DCU movie yet.
I still would like another Batfleck movie more.

I mean I wouldn't go as far as to say warn but I definitely am skeptical about the quality of the movie. Especially judging by Snyders recent output. But overall I agree with you. People are getting way too defensive over others who think this looks like hot garbage and interpreting what they say as an indictment against their own excitement. The problem is people's inability to accept differing opinions.

Yeah exactly , Logan is leagues of above anything Snyder puts out in terms of writing, plot, and characters. But visually what Snyder puts in a frame is outstanding just the reason for that stuff being there is usually awful.

Snyder puts more of that Eye Candy and fetishizing slow mo shots and shit on the screen, but like yeahhh, Logan's visuals are a lot better I stand by that.
Connective tissue has probably been cut out of that scene to fit it neatly into the trailer. In the first shot Batman's going for a kick - you can even see the Parademon he hits.

It is probably a temp comp for the trailer shot delivery. No trailer vfx shot is "finished".

Logan is a ridiculously good movie (with actual charcters, no less) but the CGI in that Mexico limo chase is goddamn laughable.
Snyder has the best eye for style, that's just a goddamn empirical fact.
He's like John Woo or some shit.
Makes everything else look amateur hour.

Yeah... here's the thing. We're all paying to see this movie. Honestly...
and no one's going to leave the theater thinking "well, I'm sure glad GAF tempered my hype. Losing money feels better if you go in knowing you'll probably dislike it".
What many of you are calling being on the defense might just be a "we get it" with regard to the type of comments all of us have seen prior to this trailer's release.
We know... this may suck. We get it... trailers have looked good in the past. But please, forgive those of us that aren't charging into this thread with "fool me once" ready to be ctrl+v'd as a standard post.
Okay, well see you in 70+ page OT of people saying how disappointed they were with the movie.
