Donald Trump (through Judge Jeanine): "Paul Ryan needs to step down"

If they remove Ryan they will never find a replacement.

Your time is now Kevin McCarthy! Aka the guy who had to drop out of the Speaker race last time because he was stupid enough to admit that the Benghazi hearings were meant to screw with Hillary's numbers.

While technically possible, never going to happen, only house majority members can vote for speaker.

Bannon: "Oh yeah? You're gonna vote for me or else! Man I definitely nailed this whole negotiating thing, I'm totally gonna be king some day."

A list of R's; Yuck

Who the fuck do they want? They were barely able to get Ryan to take the job.

No one, Trump doesn't have the support in his own party to oust Ryan. I guarantee the rank and file Republicans blame this on Trump more than Ryan. He's just trying to save face as much as possible. Absolute clown, everyone is a fault except him.

I mean people have been saying he was gonna use this as ammo against Ryan from the start so it's no surprise.

What will be interesting is to see if he can actually pull it off. Trump so far has demonstrated quite well how little power a President actually has beyond photo ops.

So now Ryan will flip on Trump?

This is crazy. This is the freaking country being run like a reality show.

Who would Trump possibly want as the replacement? Is there a popular enough ass kisser in the House to get the votes needed?

What a time to be alive.

Paul Ryan can literally whip enough votes to start your impeachment, dems included.

This is glorious. GOP House is a big fat mess - and the country is better for it.

Ryan staying in is like a wounded duck. It also likely further damages further political aspirations of his. If he steps down, nobody is going to want to inherit this mess - because they know it would ruin them even more. And he'd still be damaged anyway.

Bohener has to be on cloud nine right about now for noping out of the speakership. GOP is full of batshit insane politicians that will go for nothing less than watching the country burn. There aren't enough GOP moderates that at least want to govern to get stuff done.

And they've shown little indication that they are capable of working with Democrats. Partly I'm sure because many of those proposals will be even too liberal for them.

And Trump? He's going to get shit for this anyway.

Pardon my ignorance, but who the fuck is Judge Jeanine?

Edit: Say she's a commentator, is she a member of Trump's team? Why on earth would he say to watch her at 9pm? He knew what would be said. This is absurd.

So, I seem to remember Ryan being reluctant to take the Speaker's role years ago. Was that considered legit, or theatrics? Is he the type of guy to go like Boehner and just say "fuck it" and leave?

It was real, remember the heir-apparent first dropped because HE also didn't want it and
Ryan was the next obvious choice being a rising star and former VP running mate. house Republicans spent time persuading him to do it for the party.

I think it was legit. If he goes, the GOP House goes further into disarray.

Would he step away? Not sure, though. But I'm sure he knows he's fucked no matter what he does. Along with the rest of the GOP - including Trump.

Ryan won't flip on trump publically, but in the back rooms......

The first guy had to step down because he said they were hounding Clintion for the hell of it

Paul Ryan isn't just going to walk away. The man still has his keg party dreams of screwing over poor people, and you don't just let that go.

He swore an oath.

Trump spoke to Brannon, Bannon spoke to Jeanine and thus she can say she didn't speak to trump

That's what he was elected to do, idiot

Why the fuck are you a president then if you lack the understanding of the nuances of Washington and the legislative process?

If this was Obama or anyone else, they would be howling over why he doesn't know the nuances.

Uh-huh. Impeachment requires only a simple-majority vote in the House. Nancy Pelosi would make damn sure every Democrat would vote for it. They'd only need to get twenty-some-odd Republicans on board.

Of course, I say "twenty-some-odd" as thought it would be easy. Simple, maybe, but not easy... unless he keeps fucking around with his own party.
