Alright. Nier Automata route b is done! 35 hours in and I've done 75% of the side quests. I know I could have done it faster if I skipped the side quests as they haven't been that compelling or rewarding but I'm oddly addicted to them. Not sure why. And I'm on track to finishe before Persona 5. So it's all good. Route b is as others and the review ben did seems a step down but it wasn't as bad as I feared. And now I'm ready for things to go into overdrive for the next playthrough!

Finally put some time into Hollow Knight and man not sure what it is but it's the first metroidvania in quite some time where exploration is really interesting. Exploring is a bit like in the steamworld dig kind of way fun. Don't quite know what it is but with games like Ori, Dust, Axiom Verge exploring had a very different vibe.
Also playing Hollow Knight made me realize that 2d metroidvanias are the kind of games I actively need to take a ton of small breaks for(like every hour like 10 minutes doing something else). Something about playing these games mentally tires me out which is honestly weird cause I can play dota, starcraft, well games I would consider more mentally demanding with far less breaks.

Ben going full villain in Don's Design Lab and in the Mario Party 2 team tournament is 10/10.

Also, they should play Bushido Blade 2 in first person mode. That shit is nuts.

Guys, Verendus has been outed as a fake and permabanned from GAF six or so months ago. He just made up crap and nobody noticed before.

I don't think he was thoroughly a fake, he definitely had inside info but yeah, he finished his run of GAF with a slew of fake information just to rile GAF up.

I think BruceLeeRoy is the only insider I really trust now (and DemonNite but haven't seen him in a while).

Verendus definitely had some legit scoops, but he threw in fake leaks with them.

FF6 remake sounds like crazy talk. Maybe in 10 years after all FF7 parts are out.

What would be the incentive for Square to do a full blown remake of FF6? I know it's regarded as one of the best or even the best game, but that game in particular is not a franchise itself, like FF7.

Until they release the first episode of the FF7 Remake, I don't think we'll hear much else from Square anyway.

A FFV remake would be a really crazy development that I would be interested in seeing independent of the quality of the end product.

Been playing Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and it features some really nice sprite-work for older FF units. I wouldn't mind having a FF VI remake with that kind of graphics. 3d might get a bit complicated since they'd have to flesh out the world all new in 3d.

An update on the march EZAnime might be good to have since it seems like is going to be delayed? And if it is a short Patreon post on that would be good just to let everyone know?

As of right now, it's not getting delayed, but as someone else mentioned One Piece is a lot to review. If we do decide to delay we'll definitely communicate on Patreon and Twitter.

One Piece very understandably means a lot to many people and I'm not personally satisfied with how JoJo pt. 1 turned out. I want this next episode to be better. It also happens to be Persona 5 review time AND we're just getting off of the anniversary. Not trying to make excuses, but yeah it's just a lot all at once right now.

Regarding TTE, the economy is definitely borked, but we were getting to a spot where it was time to move on and get beyond Kalveed. That's what you're seeing now. It's basically me trying to move things forward while still giving them as much agency as possible. It's not perfect (it never is), but that's how it goes. I'm very excited for future developments!

P.S. - I really hope they do something crazy with that stupid amount of gold. What a wonderful/dumb mistake that was.

Oh I see thanks for the update I was confused since it didn't show up on the release schedule made me jump to conclusions. Also didn't mean to cause additional stress sry if it did. Thanks for the hard work as always looking forward to both.

No I'm glad you spoke up! I forgot to put it on the schedule so it was good to clarify. No extra stress.

Speaking of Ben Wheatley films, I'd love to see Huber's live reaction to Kill List.

Amazing film that has some very disturbing imagery without being particularly gory. Complete mind-fuck as well.

So we're having an argument about streaming on Twitch in the Twitch chat right now. Basically, my question is, why is no one currently streaming the new DSIII DLC? Game is hot on Twitch right now, it's free exposure. My main issue with EZA is that they aren't nearly as day-and-date with everyone else.

Because they want to play it before streaming it. I love EZA, but their fear of TeH SpoilerZ is always a gripe.
..but i do hope they have a special just played for it like the last DLC.

That's another issue I have with them. "Media blackouts" when you are both 1. the media and 2. a small team that needs every hand on deck, lol.

But they could easily avoid spoilers by doing follower/sub only chat. Many streamers are doing that right now.

uh.. I just streamed Mass Effect like a week before launch. Brad is streaming the new version of Kingdom Hearts II as soon as he can. Just because it doesn't happen with every single release, doesn't mean it isn't happening.

I'm not saying you never do it, and the comment is slightly more catch-all than just streaming a new game. Occasionally reviews are pretty behind (Nioh, Nier, Mass Effect, among others).

I'm sorry I haven't been quicker with it, but Arthur Gies got through Mass Effect by playing 80 hours in a week. That's not always doable for a variety of reasons. I probably could have done a little better with it, but a lot happened last week, and it was all pretty worthwhile.

Nah blood your doing fine same with all the Easy Allies busting your ass the last few weeks.

Honestly, I don't think the Allies should be rushing reviews to meet deadlines. It's nice when it works out but personally, I wouldn't mind if they decided to be a bit more picky going forward (especially now with Don't Skip). And better to have a great review, than one that's rushed to meet deadlines.

But that might just be my perception of it. I started watching late last year and it's been a pretty packed Q1 so it feels like they're trying to keep up with the sheer onslaught of games and this very well might be EZA being picky.

I would also love a GB quicklook type deal for for some of the games. Maybe balance the load between reviews, don't skip and quick looks. For example, I loved when Blood was playing Andromeda before one of the group streams. For me, that is all I need to see from that particular game along with listening to some of his thoughts. I'm sure other games will fall into that category as well in the future.

I have no problems reading reviews from trusted sources that aren't on the day of release. These days, I just can't buy many games day one due to a heavy backlog and $$$, so I'm more than fine with EZA and other places taking their time.
