MS does not have an answer for you nor is chasing customers like yourself who own a decent gaming PC. As long as you're in their ecosystem, that's all they care about.

They were honest about 360 vs PS3 comparisons, they are honest about PS4 vs X1 comparisons, they did an accurate breakdown of the Xbox One, they've done an accurate breakdown of the PS4 Pro, they've not shown any tendency to lie about hardware performance.
Now they're going to cover a hardware reveal with in-depth information...what, in any way, does that do to alter their "trustworthiness"?
This stuff is ridiculous. I'd love to see them cover the "PS5" and "Nextbox" after that too. It's a cool way to get info out there.
I have a "decent PC" too, somehow I still manage to enjoy console hardware from all the makers.
Yeah it's a pretty huge part of the SoC. But with the rumor of an LED outside of the devkits I suspect they managed to implement a water cooling solution.

Did they do the PS4 Pro analysis with pre-release hardware ? What are they going to show, pre-release games, with tech demos ?

Don't worry about it, I'm not easily offended......But the real question is this....?..How many console manufacturers are taking the hit on hardware anymore..Look at PS3, that console is still not under $200.00 with a proper harddrive......
I guess if people see value in a product, they will buy it, but the biggest issue for MS is not even packing in the best console specs, but to offer some good exclsuives with these good specs...It has to work in tandem, so people can see the value.....
So yes, I'm thinking the specs will be descent to good on scorpio, but I'm more interested in how much better MS based games look/perform on that system as opposed to an XB1S etc...

Don't forget though that MS is well aware who they are targeting with this. It's a crowd of gamers that is willing to spend a bit of cash on it, i know I am. They did say they expect the majority to buy the S.
We'll be getting one, on Thursday, and it'll either be a crashed wreck or a rolercoaster hype train till E3!

He can just get the much cheaper option. Saves him the money to spend on games that won't make it to PC. Which will probably be minimal at this point.
Maybe because everyone does comparisons so even if they were evil and made the Xbox seem better when it isn't...they'd get caught easily...

DF is going to talk specs, and performance they saw on games. I don't think they are doing a hardware unveil and show the box.
Possibly liquid cooling, but yeah that'd be kinda crazy if it was smaller.
It's simple.
They don't want you to buy a Scorpio, or even a Xbox One.
They want you, and those who game on PC, to buy their games on the Windows Store.

They are going to talk about the specs, which will then be picked up by all the other sites. Leaving microsoft to talk about the games and services at a later date.
As far as we know they're going to give specifics of the hardware and its performance capability based on the hardware in the system.
That's probably it.
It's like Nvidia or AMD sending hardware over and someone detailing it. It doesn't suddenly remove a site's reputation.
That's absolutely ridiculous.
Maybe we'll get lucky and get actual gameplay comparison of something. That's unlikely.

I think the fact that they've chosen DF makes it more likely the console will be more powerful (Zen or something else) and more expensive (499) than we had expected.

This is what I think. Coalition already talked about gears 4 on scorpio so they could just show FH3 and Gears 4 on scorpio running in 4k. Let's them hold their game announcements til E3.
