I kinda get the new generation vibe here, but then again if the focus is moving to more generation less updates then there's no reason to lock oneself down to current CPU's of Xbox One and PS4(and pro).

Same. Specs are great but this machine is going to be hamstrung by being locked to the previous generation like the PS Pro. Makes the unveil less exciting.

For the types of games MS is going all in on (multiplayer focused games as services), draw distance, environmental detail, etc. will be improved, but that's not as reliant on the CPU I assume.
For CPU-bound things like physics calculations and environmental destruction, unexplored gameplay possibilities would be limited by the need for parity in gameplay with XBO.

Yea it is. No MP game will have 60 fps on Scorpio and 30fps on X1. Better CPU will most likely not be used for better physics etc. I am not saying it's not exciting!!!
