DF analysis concluded that it looks and runs best on X1 through 360 BC.

Totally irrelevant now that the definitive version is upon us!

Oh yeah, good point. Bayonetta is actually probably one of the most interesting games to look at in terms of which port is the 'definitive' version. The Wii U version will still retain some value after this because of the Nintendo costumes and association with the sequel, but agree PC will largely be the way to play going forward.

...Oh god, I just realised there's mod potential now.

Bayonetta 1 is the better game.
I agree but here on GAF a lot of users think the opposite so it's difficult to have a civil discussion on this topic, lol

Edit: because some users don't even try to read the reasons behind this opinion, that's what I saying.

Nice, but I'll hold off until I see what type of mod community builds up.

There's been a couple of console games I repurchased on PC because I thought the game would be over the top if it got mod support like other games I play on PC (Civ series, Skyrim, Endless Legend) but nothing ever came other than resolution options.

To all modders:

If somebody can find out how to modify the text in the game, please tell us how to, so we can translate the game into other languages.

Thanks

Any tips for us playing it for the first time? Difficulty?

Start on normal. The game gets noticeably harder around chapter 5 so keep that in mind if it seems too easy at first. The game is designed for you to play increasing difficulties on new game+ with all your abilities and weapons carried over. If you're a hardcore player of the genre, then do what you want, if not, start on normal for super best fun time.

Also people will (and have) told you to learn about dodge offset but that's not even remotely necessary to succeed/have fun with the game while you're learning it. If you grasp it quickly, great, have fun, but if you're struggling with it and it's diminishing your enjoyment, just learn to play without it for a while. Once you've mastered the basic controls, it will be easier to learn anyway.

Nice specs and price

My PC won't be able to run it at recommended specs but I will be glad to get this again sometime in the future.

£15 is a good deal for this game.

Anyone want to let us know how its graphics options are and if it has 21:9 support? I'd check for us all but I'm at work for another hour.
