Puyo Puyo Tetris English demo now available on the Switch eShop

I honestly don't think I'm getting the same page as you guys. There is no mention of a code anywhere, and the comments/questions are all saying it's a card and not a code.
From the link i posted:

You're probably just connected with your usual amazon account. Try creating a US one

My US demo doesn't have any vibration at all. Tested on both Pro and Joycon setups. I thought this was supposed to showcase the HD rumble a bit.

For whatever reason the US demo/full game has it off by default, You have to turn it on (which you can't do in the demo)

I have to say, playing Puyo Puyo with the HD rumble has made me a believer of it.
Considering how well it simulates the plop of Puyos, I'm guessing the Senran Kagura devs might actually manage their experiment.

So I'm a little confused. Is the retail Switch version $39 while its digital version only $29? I went ahead and sold my copy of 1-2 Switch and trying to see if I should go retail or digital and the price is my deciding factor right now.

This is correct. Physical copy is $10 more and includes keychains.

I'm so bad both at tetris and puyo2 :(

Is there any training or difficulty progression in full version? I wanna get better but getting my ass whopped in versus mode (demo) really disheartening sometimes

I must be getting redirected to something else then because there's no mention of digital anything and when I added it to cart to see if some option appeared there was all just physical shipping stuff. Not sure what is happening.

Same here, just shows me the links to physical cards, maybe this will help, takes me directly to the 20$ card and from there you can choose whatever amount you need.

Thanks for the quick info. Going digital then. Had my wife try the demo today and she instantly fell in love with it. She wasn't familiar with Puyo Puyo but she got the gist of one the one play through. Definitely looks like the perfect game as a staple to download for the Switch.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Just preordered it. I played the original Japanese demo for hours and hours, this is going to be so addictive.

Anyone here planning to get it for PS4? All the hub bub Ive seen about this game is over the Switch version so much that you'd think this was exclusive to that console!

Switch is portable and it isn't a graphical beast so I am not worried about grabbing it on PS4.

If it was cross buy and cross save with Vita I'd consider it, but otherwise I'll be getting it on switch for convenience.

I am thinking about it, but it doesn't seem to be getting carried by that many shops over here in the UK. Very bizarre.

Man, I'm not so sure if I will pick up the localized version, I really miss Japanese shouts like TETORIIS.

I tried the EU demo, my wife and I played the Japanese demo a lot, and we didn't like the EU (USA also I presume) voices.. we went back to the Japanese version :) Some Japanese expressions sound like cursing it's hilarious.. and adds to the game.

Also, you can set more that 2 rounds in the Japanese version.. which is removed from the EU demo.

If I buy this Tetris, we will buy the Digital Japanse version :p

Played this yesterday with my wife, brother in law and his fiancé for about two hours and that's when I realized this game is going to be a dangerous time sink.

I also never realized just how much I suck at comparative Tetris. :(

Has anything been said when this game is going to release on the Switch eshop? (I know eshop exclusive games are 9AM PST, but I'm not too sure how it is for retail/digital games.)

Is it normal to suck really bad at the demo?

If you're not decent at Tetris, sure.

Also some of the characters seem to be tougher than others (i.e. Zed wrecks me constantly in Tetris no matter what difficulty setting I use).

I can't remember if I've asked this but is there just a normal simple Endless Mode for Tetris or Puyo, or do you HAVE to play against someone/CPU no matter what?

I've had this preordered since like Feb 10th because I love Tetris and wanna be able to just fuck around and play some Tetris whenever I want but in the demo I could only do VS matches which takes some of the fun out of it for me ):

9AM PST is the usual time. Only first party games are Fridays and sometimes at midnight, then the regular store updates on Thursdays 9AM PST.

Dont think ive seen this asked yet. But is there a way to do vs endless? Me and the wife love doing that and just seeing who loses first. Still competitive but no sending blocks over.

The Pro Controller is so bad for this game. I've had much better luck with the "d-pad" on the joycons.

What Dpad? You mean you can play this game with the four face buttons of each JOYCON as Dpad?

You can! Either in handheld mode or docked with the controller grip + two joycons. It works better than I expected it to honestly.

EDIT: Oh wait unless you mean on one single joycon, in which case err no :p

I was never a Tetris player, but I thought 'lol how hard can it be?'

.... I lose to pretty much every character and if I win it's by pure coincidence. I can't for the life of me set up any sort of chain.

You all are doing it wrong...

Use the analog stick, i know it feels imprecise at first, but you're gonna thank me later.

Been playing with my SO a lot this weekend. Both feel puyo is busted broken. Offensively ridiculous.

Anyone have any idea how to disseminate this, as it has to not be true as this game has been around.

I hope there is a way to turn off character voices in the full version if the game. In the demo you can do it but it also turns off the normal SFX which is dumb.

I also hope there is a way to play score based local multiplayer rather than combat.

I've had enough accidental fast drops, thank you very much.

Thank god, preorder redeemed. I may even eventually double dip and get the digital version to always have some Tetris (and Puyo if I get good enough at it) available to play.

I just love me some simple, old school Tetris. Probably my most played GameBoy game outside of possibly Super Mario Land 1/2.

No thank you.

... Why? There no analog night that makes no sense.

The "analog" stick has digital input in Tetris, so the analog aspect of it won't be a problem, plus it gives you much faster movements. The only input faster than a stick for Tetris is a keyboard input, which obviously isn't a option here.

Does Arcade A contol disable Up as fast-drop? Accidental fast-drop is some grade-A rage-inducing bullshit.

Also, Puyo is busted as fuck. Someone prove me wrong.
