That dude doesn't even have his facts straight.
Death Vanguard is a SUB BOSS in DMC3 and is not even a "classic" boss fight in that game.
That's like a tutorial fight you have to beat at the start that later on you realize is just fodder because not only Vergil kills it one shot but you end up fighting 3 of those at the same time. He's not one of the main story bosses of the game, that's bosses like Cerberus from which you acquire something after beating them.
God damn Beowulf/Nevan/Agni&Rudra/Lady make more sense as a boss than Death Vanguard from DMC3... Hell Bolverk/Despair Embodied/Lucia from DMC2 would be better choices.

It's going to be MCU focused, maybe they go with some X-Men or FF to make fans happy/avoid the buzz that happened after the reveal.
Daredevil is a solid choice IMO.

Looking into that character, yeah this list is a bit off the wall in numerous ways. But with the DMC exmaple, it would be like finally getting a Dino Crisis rep and it's David Falk. Like nah, that's not how these things work.

I hope it's DMC4 Dante or what will be DMC5 Dante. DMC3 Dante has done enough (also that costume is the worst of the 4 games)

The twist is that DMC5's main character is a Hell Vanguard who gets into whacky situations as he tries to track down Dante to get revenge for his dead brothers.
No they aren't. Wolverine's MvC1 costume is the 90's Jim Lee design, whereas his (U)MvC3 design is from the more recent Astonishing X-Men.
Either way, Marvel wouldn't really go with a 90's costume as it would clash with the other designs in the game.

No one know. Since they are recycling a lot of characters so it could be more than we expected. I would recommend you to set your expectation at low bar, like 26-30 characters.

I'd say 18-20 per side. The fact that they're reusing (U)MvC3 assets does allow Capcom to add more characters on Day 1.
If it was like SFV where everyone was being redone from scratch, then a smaller Day 1 roster would be understandable.

If we end up with a roster that small, they better be doing 1 rep per franchise since slots would fill up quick.
I do wonder if perhaps the talks of simplifying things from last year could be in part to have a larger starting roster (Due to reuse of MVC3 assets) while having an easier game to balance due to its size.

Yeah, that would be good way to go with. I personally would love it if we actually get 36-40 characters slot so that would increase the chance for us to get the characters we would like to see.

I thought about those 2 but sacrifices had to be made. I prefer Star-Lord over Rocket and Daredevil over Deadpool. Who would you remove in favor of those 2 from my list?

This is the sticking point for me that just outright screams about it being fake. The shit that happens in the comics arc-wise has absolutely no bearing on the games. Steve Rogers will always be the classic Captain America in any Marvel video game he appears in. That's also why Magneto, although he has been an X-Men for a long ass time is always portrayed as a villain. That's why Cyclops always is depicted as the leader of the X-Men although he's been a villain in the comics for a couple years now.
Marvel games always use the established most popular incarnation of a character (except maybe looks-wise).
Marvel isn't cutting Captain America from their fucking movies just because he's Hydra in the comics either.
This is just such utter nonsense lol.

Well we haven't really seen much so far. The stage we HAVE seen seems to be mashing up Asgard with some Mega Man-esque sci-fi elements, so it seems like it's going to mashups of iconic Marvel and Capcom things, which makes it quite difficult to speculate on because it can be any combination. In fact I'd argue Asgard + Mega Man already is a pretty out there combination.
I also think it essentially soft-confirms at least one Asgardian character to be in the game, which comes as no surprised, but you know.
