Guess I'm in a relationship with Ann and Makoto now. Level 9 Ann decision was kind of awkward. It was either you can rely on me or you can rely on the rest of the team or some such. Seemed needlessly cold.
Makoto s-link was kind of disappointing. It started out interesting but then the detour with her buddy lasted way too long.

I honestly did not expect to feel that bad when I rejected her in my NG file. It was so terrible, lol, I think she's the only girl who actually has strong feelings towards the MC before rank 9.

It's what made the choice for me. I was torn between Futaba (MC is 16, you're him not you so this is fine lol) and Haru but then I heard that Slink was str8 savage, so I was like "welp".
Not regretting the eventual choice (haven't gotten there on my own playthrough yet, I watched my brother beat the game first), she's one of my favorite JRPG designs with her baller musketeer outfit. And obviously super frickin' cute. The only downside is I didn't know Ann takes it badly if you go platonic...I like Ann so I was like goddammit when I found that out.

I guess I view the romances between the player and the character, not the MC and the character. I mean if I wanted to romance someone on behalf of the MC's canon romance I would have picked Yusuke.
A lot of people I know decided to go with her because they thought she was built more in mind with having some kind of deeper relationship with protag (something I thought applies more to Haru). Personally I could kinda see that but in some aspects I feel like there's more of a sister dynamic going on which makes me hesitant from my experiences with her. From what I've seen though the romance is pretty cute and I wouldn't mind doing it on NG+.

Depending on your birthday, what they do is either legal or illegal, whereas with Futaba, it's questionable regardless.
Futaba is the character I can see possibly being the closest to the MC. But she's very clearly an adoptive younger sister character, she's not even in high school, and she's opening up to the world because you picked up the guardianship role from Sojiro who is basically a terrible parent. The fact that there is even a romance option is kinda weird, since it can so easily feel like grooming rather than companionship.
It's not my fault that the best characters in the game are all dodgy people of poor moral standing.

He did admit to Yusuke about the real reason why he's willing to become the MC's guardian in Tokyo. Him giving the MC a rough time early is just him being a Tsundere.

Honestly at first I planned to go with Ann too but her level 9 confession scene seemed so abrupt and sudden. I think she's taking the rejection in strides, tho.
Not to mention dating her early makes many scenes in the later months seem so jarring and immersive-breaking (I'm looking at you,

Let's see: she likes horror movies (a major plus), she goes along with the MC's jokes, she's rich (lol), she's adorably sweet and nice and caring, she treats Sojiro as her coffee-mentor, and she wants to open a cafe with a focus on coffee (I mean come onnnnnnn), and moreover, considering she's one year older than the MC, she's not breaking the "likes older ladies" rule that our MC seems to be having this time around

Just Takemi, honestly - she's not in a position of power over the MC like the teacher, so it's at least a little less questionable. (Ohya and Chihaya just seem like dodgy choices in general, too.)

Dude, you are forced to romance everybody in P3 if you want to max all social links.
It's like the game tacitly acknowledged that P3's MC must become a pimp to realize his full power, hahah.
Her by herself is great but man she adds absolutely nothing to the dynamic of Phantom Thieves. I really wish they did more with her, she just comes in to late and by that time more important plot shit is happening. They really should have done what they did with Makoto and introduce her earlier.
