Hearthstone |OT9| Our raid wiped in Icecrown Citadel

PSA: If anyone was putting off getting the HotS card back, the new "2.0" patch just made getting to player level 12 about 75% faster. Free 7 day stimpack if you login this week too - probably won't be an easier time to grind it out.

I was player level 5 or 6 which got bumped to 11 in the new system, one AI match got me to 12.

Winrate against Hunters with Miracle is getting better.

I still struggle to beat Taunt Warriors and other match-ups that are green on the Vs Rankings.

Guess I just need to learn the deck / playstyle. Stuck going back and forth between ranks eight and nine right now. Miracle is about +1 / -1. Elemental Mage and Elemental Shaman don't feel strong enough. Dragon Priest does all right, as does Secret Mage. Normal Priest is surprisingly resilient. Even though I spend a lot of time playing it, and playing against it, I guess I just don't have the experience seeing it from another class's perspective.

Not sure why people keep bagging on Priest when Rogue is just as bad these days. I Hallucinated a Free From Amber and then coin → prepped it on turn four for a V'ruul....yeah.

Mimic Pod feels so slow, but sometimes you get doubles of something like Prep or Hall and it's great. I don't know if two Saps are needed, but they're so good against Hunter and Paladin...

Four priest on a row.

Four cleric turn 1, power word shield turn 2 (1 had two!), double the health and attack = health on turn 3.

Today this game hated me hard

Had a game where a Priest got two Divine Spirits from Lyra and hand an Inner Fire in hand. I was already losing the game from a bad starting hand but that's just some extra salt in the wound right there.

Yup, Lyra is super obscene, and to the poster that said Rogue is high rolling hard too, I can confirm, I can't count the number of times I have beaten Mages because they spent all their ammo and I have Ice Blocks

Sometimes I wonder if Blizzard applied the Elise algorithm for her pack to every card generator, because damn, everyone gets the best card they need at all times

I'm guessing they tested this and it ended up way too broken with Auctioneer.

6 mana fill your hand with cards sounds good but with them being discovered cards and not cards from a constructed deck it still seems like a renounce darkness level card. I'm not great at theory though so i could be way off.

Haven't played Ungoro since it came out. Two days ago went to Tempostorm.... copy and paste the #1 midrange paladin deck. Went from rank 25 to like 5 with an 80% win rate.

Good lord I don't know to credit these deck builder for building such good decks or the game to be that damn flawed where someone can just ROFLSTOMP through without even know wtf they're doing. In the past for me to achieve high rank I had to learn all the ladder decks, and play around certain cards (basically I had to use my brain). Now I just close my eyes pick one of the meta decks... play on curve and profit. If I can do this shit in two days I only imagine how easy it is to get Legend for someone who is A) a better player and B) have more free time than I do.
I can't figure out how to navigate the website. I see four tempo storm Paladin decks at the top (I don't know what criteria put them there, or what the little number in the corner means). I also see a big community list.

I don't see any way to sort either list so I would even know what deck you mean.

*edit*
It isn't even fun. Renounce darkness is fun because you can transform your hand immediately. Discover ungoro just feels bad.
It's kind of fun to me since I had two of them for some reason and tried putting them in a Warrior deck. It's fun in the sense that you get all sorts of random cards. It's not fun in the sense that I lost maybe 9/10 of games because you waste so much mana and put yourself behind unless you save it for a weird lategame gamble or something.

Makes world leading predictions like "The sun will rise tomorrow"
how the F that rogue ended up losing

The stars had to align perfectly.

1. Unleash the Hounds on Turn 7 to kill the 5/2 prevented him from racing me.
2. Dirty Huffer on Turn 8 to kill his Auctioneer forced him to play topdeck mode with me.
3. I think that was 12 damage from my hero power?

Mage arena: Priest has me to 16 Hp and has a 1212 Lightwarden on the board. I play primordial glyph and get the one mana two 0/2 taunts, play it with Mana Bind.

He casts Embrace the Ashes on turn 8. I get a copy for 0 cost. I play it next turn and get Malygos. Cast flame strike to clear his poisonous stealth and Arcane Giant he chose. Taunt still up to take the hit form the 5/5 Lightwarden. I don't know how I won the game...but I did.

TLDR: Primordial Glyph best card of the expansion.

I think I may want to try finding that midrange Paladin deck if someone can teach me the Tempostorm website. With pirate warrior I have been rank 14 with 4 stars maybe 4 different times in the last 2 days, but cannot seem to break past.

I'm aware of exactly 1 game I lost because of a misplay today, even after adapting my deck and play per suggestions from the thread. :(

That guy is probably writing a post on reddit on how BS the rng is in this game as we speak

I lost at 4 stars for the 5th time in a row.

Someone got taunt AND divine shield from a minion on the very last possible turn at 1 HP before they would have lost.

*edit* Eww, midrange paladin requires 3 legendaries I don't have. I won't be able to try that for a very long time.

I truly dislike playing against Priest and Mage more than any other class. With Mage, primordial glyph is the main cause.

Without even doing quest, the person I just played against had 1 ice block, 3 ice barriers, and at least one primordial glyph -> primordial glyph chain. That's 54+ HP not even counting the turns where you can't do anything due to freeze spells.

Yep, since if I lose to taunt warrior it's still within 10 turns, 12 turns max maybe. And at least I can take my turns, and the only discovery is taunt minions.

Quest rogue is almost fun to play against. I'm like 9-13 with my latest deck in general, but about 12-1 combined against rogue in my last few decks.

rogue is just high rolling garbage class now. Swashburgler, hallucination pulls are either terrible and do nothing or blow your opponent out of the game.

This was a class that before standard had 0 RNG. I don't enjoy playing it, playing against it is just terrible, I have no idea what they want to do, they can't keep printing this terrible mechanic.

With mage at least you know whatever they get is a mage spell and it's probably good, so mage is just broken not a high roller. Rogue is mediocre on average but far more annoying.

Cards like mimic pod just encourage high roll trash decks too, oh I hit arcane giant, I win. you thought you were safe? I have triple cold blood, too bad!

Eh, Cold Blood version of miracoli still feel classic to me, its not run hallucination altho its run mimic pod and swash too keep hand size large because its seem people start to agree if you run double cold blood and leeroy, you use questing and sprint instead

Maybe I should try to push to Rank 10 this week?

I need to make more decks with the cards I have too. Basically just been playing Pirate Warrior and Midrange Hunter

Spain making up for the mistakes made in the first match of the HGG with a 3-0, not a fan of our team but its always nice to beat the argentinians
