As far as Capcom reps are concerned, the only safe bets are Wesker, Frank West, Dante, & Vergil. Everybody else is 50/50. I don't expect to see Zero in this game, it would be nice though.

Those are all vets, the original question was about newcomers which is a lot harder to predict. It feels like Capcom blew their load back with MVC3 and they haven't introduce enough new characters since then. When rumors are talking about Jedah or another new darkstalkers a dead franchise you know it's bad.

I added him back in at the cost of Iron Fist, but I could seen an argument for him being DLC. But if the 2017 Character Pass is only for newcomers & a Fox character fest in the 2018 Pass, the base roster would be Thanos' best chance of a timely inclusion before Infinity War.

I find it very unlikely that they would have a game featuring Infinity Stones both in the mechanics and in the story but not have Thanos play a major factor in it.

1. There's only one Ms. Marvel at the moment. Carol's Captain Marvel, now. That said, I do expect Kamala to show up, seeing as she's the most popular Inhuman at the moment.
2. I wouldn't say lock, but probably a hair under Star-Lord & Black Panther in likelihood in my eyes.

They didn't update Chris' look, the only vet to get an updated look so far is Hawkeye and that's to make him look more like MCU hawkeye (and since they had to change his level 3 since antman is likely his own character).

Capcom's probably gonna make up for a lot of lost time if Marvel does indeed give the green-light for Fox characters in 2018. There's Wolverine, Deadpool, Magneto, Doctor Doom, Super-Skrull, Storm, Silver Surfer, & a ton of others.
