This is from an interview with Todd McFarlane about Spawn being in Injustice or MK.
"They have the access to be able to use the character in a couple of their games if they want to. It's up to their discretion," McFarlane says. "I gave them a window of time and I'll just leave it to them to do what it is that they want. I don't know if they're ever going to use it."

The inspiration is spot on. I think that comment just speaks of the poster's lack of historical knowledge.

While I did agree with that animation thread it does looks like the NRS hate train is full steam a head.
Every thread relating to FGs I'm pretty confident to see NRS games get trashed in it.

Every thread about FGs devolves into shit-flinging and trashing.
The only exception to that are anime fighters but that's mainly because no even bothers to go there.

Yeah, being a competitive player myself I came to realise Competitive players are very picky, self included
2v2 is a very difficult thing to tack onto a 1v1 game and they didn't carry it forward from MK9 because nobody played it, so the chances of a comeback are pretty slim.

Simon Hurt would be a great character, but his obscurity rules him out of making an appearance.

People complained about faces, the faces get improved.
People complained about gameplay, the gameplay improved.
Hell, even the animations have improved but honestly nothing is going to change those people's minds so I don't even bother anymore lol. I have more fun playing pretty much every fighter other than SFV (until they fix FANG) but even then I don't feel the need to create videos in an attempt to make people feel guilty for enjoying an "illegimate fighter". It's so transparent, it's silly. That said, I'm avoiding that thread like the plague.
Edit: If the FGC were a hat rack, then the Capcom community would be the Fedora.

I can't even open that thread. I know just what kinds of posts are waiting for me. It's frustrating that so many members of the FGC look down on NRS fighters and don't consider them legitimate titles. The complaints are so superficial. Injustice 2 looks incredible, gorgeous even.
I have to say, there's so much stigmata against "filthy casuals" in fighting games, yet without them, there's no growth within the community. NRS cop so much flak but their focus on single player content makes their titles more accessible and creates an entry point for gamers to join the FGC.
What bothers me the most is that they're implying Injustice 2 suffers from the exact problems as MKX while it fixed a huge amount of issues.
I guess the SFV stans are jealous because this is gonna sell millions again while their game bombed.
Personally I'm gonna play Guilty Gear Injustice 2 and Tekken 7. I've let SFV to die since it was probably the worst SF I've played.
