I've said this at least twice already: my goal here is not to lynch 30 but to find out what he knows so that we can lynch scum, because the trend so far has been this:

Female = likely town
Male = likely scum

The harem maker would know who is male based on which people he has failed to recruit. We need to force that information out.

Why, exactly? I honestly don't get it. I've explained why it's so important for us to identify the harem maker and tried to take steps to achieving that, and you're saying that's a bad thing? Do you not want to know what the harem maker knows or something?



I'm saying that it's possible, not that it's likely. We can't assume too much when it comes to PR roles so it's always best to work with an open mind.

And I'm still waiting on this:

We can assume as much as we want. I don't see 4 or 5 being acceptable as a win condition considering gender limitations.

No one was going after me! All the votes that came for me today happened after I started going after 30. The chances of me getting through today had I not gotten involved is significantly higher than if I did. But I don't want to survive, I want to help town win in whatever way I can. Being passive does not help town at all.

This conclusion is nonsense. You've seen a single scum flip, and unless you know more info on the genders yourself (ie you're the harem creator who has hit males or you're scum and know your team's gender info) its entirely baseless.

Sorry, I should've phrased it as "Male = unlikely town". I fully understand that there is only one data point for scum team and I mistakenly thought those two meant the same thing.

Just to repeat for everyone, "Unlikely town" =/= "Likely scum".

You're probably right that the harem leader can't differentiate between Town and scum, but Town can't afford to risk even more losses

I corrected that first part to "male = unlikely town". We can't speak much about scum's gender distribution since there is little data that way.

I'm not convinced this harem is an arson thing but in the case of an arsonist it's less risky to lynch suspicious individuals who have been doused because you limit the Arsonist's KP

Imagine you lynch a town player that hasn't been doused and then the Arsonist lights up. Now town is really far behind, but if they lynched a doused player who was susp for other reasons they limited KP and perhaps even delayed the ignite by changing the arsonist's math.

The more I think about it, the less I think the arsonist concept makes sense in this game and the less willing I am to chase the concept over other suspicious players like ultron swamped and dragonz.

I mean, if we were going to lynch a player who said they are in a harem, the best candidate would be ultron since he can still be useful to us in the next day (assuming he's telling the truth about his role).

I agree with you in that I'd rather not go that far. We'd just be attacking the symptoms rather than the cause.

You're assuming you're going to hit the arsonist. if the reads are strong then you should go for strong reads. This is just a strategy to minimize risk but it's also not what I'm suggesting because I don't believe this harem is an arsonist thing.

I'm not a weekend player never have been really. Sorry but rea life calls and haven't had much down time. I see the game remains revolving around a couple things. Mainly this harem business which I imagine will be shit one way or the other.
