Catulus Syndrome ch5

Yeah she's going to have to make some effort bring more outgoing. Good thing Ayano appreciates her so much.

So that happened.

Now I guess the question is going to become - is there actually something wrong with the mom or did the kid hallucinate the whole thing. The part where he looks at his hand followed by her immediately being on the ground sweating from her previous stance hints that that could be a possibility. But I'm guessing that's just something to prolong the mystery. Either way shit is finally starting to kick off.

Astra Lost In Space 30-31

Slightly modifying my original theory
I wonder if the biological kids were meant to serves as host bodies for the mind travel experiment as clones of their parents. They were all sent into space to cover up the truth with this new law being passed that would require blood test to be done. Still sticking with Aries being the kill bot that was supposed to ensure they didn't make it back.

Spoiler stuff aside, I really enjoyed the confession scene and Zach's reaction to it.

Dungeon Meshi 32

Oh hey those guys actually won for once (not sure if it counts when it didn't involve monsters). Didn't expect them to just kill them and dump them in the river though, holy crap. No mercy at all.
It's funny because he says taking their money would make them no better than the hunters, when killing them and keeping them dead already makes them way worse. Oh well.

Looks like this is gonna leave me waiting for chapters in the middle of a mini arc so Haly I hope you're going to take responsibility. horrible

Haly ain't paying for your manga/Dungeon Meshi withdrawal support, he just donates the suggestion!

Piano no Mori 241 (end)

I can't believe the series is finally over. I've loved every chapter of it and it has a treasured place in my heart. I'm perfectly happy with how its gone through everything. Just a really great series for me that never let me down on how it was playing out.

Nanashi no Asterism 21

I'm assuming this is supposed to conclude the guy side of things, so that leaves 2 chps to solve the yuri dilemma. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, my expectations for the climax are lower than the number of images in my Homura x Mami folder.

Nanashi no Asterism ch21

Two chapters left...

Yeah I don't see this ending well. At least Subaru got some sort of resolution.

Yuri Mekuru Oshigoto ch12

Looking after kids is tough, especially when they bully you. Good thing Yoriko understand them well.

Mob Psycho 100 ch99.2

Let's see if this becomes more than a dumb teenage crush.

Minamoto-kun Monogatari ch207

This birthday is a glimpse of his future.

DEAD Tube ch32

Huh, so it's headed towards a finale? I guess there's only so much you can stretch a series out of shock value.

Someone really liked that Artorias boss fight.

A Trail of Blood ch. 6

Hah, not that this was any real surprise, but I'm glad we're getting somewhere now.

The Promised Neverland ch. 38

Out of the frying pan, into the fire?

RIP. I'm assuming this is a prelude, since her transformation looked fine in the game PV. Having permadeath in a mobage is asking for trouble (unless it's KanColle style or something), so I'm guessing doppels are supposed to be some kind of substitute for witchification.

Kuutei Dragons ch 1

The premise is to hunt and eat dragons. I'm in.

Edit: lol, it's basically Whale hunting, the manga.

I was thinking that the boy represses traumatic memories and that's being actively exploited, but some details and and narrator text at the end contradict that.

Otoyomegatari ch. 62

New Innocent Rouge and now Otoyomegatari, this is truly the dream.

I don't think I mind a few Karluk growing up chapters. Especially if he'll / they'll be hunting more of Mori's beautifully drawn deer.

What if they are in Shingeki's world?

Perhaps a titan snatched those kids up.
A titan named Phil.

can't quite rule it out tbh

Tokyo Ghoul re: Ch124: Okay, so this chapter cleared up a lot of the issues I had in the last chapter - in regards to the strength of both Kaneki & the suppressants used on him. With Kaneki not really being all that bothered by them and using his knowledge and experience to outwit his opponents. Also, that last page made me laugh.
He's such a sub to Touka.

Kaguya Wants to be Confessed to Ch63: These two.

Haikyu ~75

So is this first year replacement manager meant to eventually become the love interest for Hinata like cheerleader girl did in Eyeshield 21? Or will this series actually advance past the 3rd years graduating?

The 3rd years are still playing in the latest chapter. Sometimes I wonder if they will continue after they graduated

who knows if she will, relationships/love takes a huge backseat in this manga.

For people who read a lot of team sports manga, how often do we see a series where major characters graduate and we follow a next season with a new group of freshmen?

I don't expect it to play a major role same way the romances in ES21 took a huge back seat.

Captain Tsubasa got spin offs/sequels where they basically played as adults in real clubs in Europe where real life players had altered names and shit lol

Probably not, and nobody really knows about the 3rd years. There are only really 2 actual romantic pairings that get some development, and neither involves Hinata

Hmm. Manga that I can think of: Captain Tsubasa, Hungry Heart, Major, Ace of Diamond, Cross Game

Tsugumomo ch98

3 more matches to go, so it means the pro-tsukumogami faction will lose one more match.

Moee-chan wa Ki ni Shinai ch3

These aliens are pretty tenacious. Good thing Moee is helpful.

The better to entice battleships, dear.

Complex Age ch2

Didn't expect a lecture on the intricacies of cosplay. Gotta admire their creativity.

Complex Age 2

Speaking of enticing gothic lolita clothi- oh wait, they changed it from the one-shot. Yes I'm still bitter. The cosplay wisdom is actually pretty interesting, what's less wise is paying obsessive attention to internet comments.

Madoka Magica - PTSD (SFW pixiv)
Family fun with serious mental health conditions. Not to worry though, she can just wish for her PTSD to disappear.

Holy crap, President looks like a creep in his 'freshen up' mode.
Gotta agree with Kaguya here, prez glare is his best part

Moee-chan wa Ki ni Shinai 1-3

So, there's this girl who don't have a single fuck to give. Alien, vampire, or magical shojo, nothing faze her. It's oddly charming

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai 1-8

A highschool comedy about girl that don't know thing called personal space. This is Mizu Asato making a grounded comedy. There's no ball loving girl, a nipple hair contest, or sharing toilet to shit together. It's far more welcoming than her previous works, that's for sure.

Hoshino me o tsubutte 17-19

Dear mother of god, a gay character who's not an offensive stereotype!? Handling a triangle love story between gay and hetero without resorting to name calling or disgust!? In a shonen magazine!?
Man, i'm telling you guys, the wrong gal anime got adapted. This manga better have an anime adaptation!

I personally expect the series to continue past the third year's graduation since I feel like they spent a decent amount of time explaining how certain characters could take on the rolls of the third years who would be leaving

Well, a large majority of baseball manga does this really well but other than that, maybe if you count martial arts as a sport?

Edit: Shit, double post, sorry guys

Read through the first 20-something chapters of Tantei Gakuen Q

I'm not the only one who feels dumb reading mystery books like this, right? Cause 90% of the time i'm lost

I'm currently caught up to the translation, out of all the cases I've gotten only 2 right. One completely because it was a super short case (3-4 chapters)/obvious and another one I got right just because I assumed it would follow a certain mystery cliche and it did. But yeah, you will feel lost most of the cases and you guesses will often times be horribly off the mark.

Beck Vol 1 - 34

That was a nice ride. I'm a sucker for these types of coming of age stories like this and Bakuman where they spent years trying to achieve their dreams, so this was a wonderful ride especially when it really got going past volumes 5 or 6ish. The first few volumes are rough both art and plotwise - it almost seems like Sakuishi spent some time waffling before deciding which characters and plotlines to commit to (he does this later as well it seems). However, once things got rolling there were a number of awesome moments, and those payoff moments really landed well for me. So structurally the plot works well at an overall level, but there are definitely some rough spots in the handling of some of the minor characters outside the scope of the actual music stuff.

I also enjoyed Koyuki and Maho's pre-England relationship quite a bit, and their reunion was nice even if the drama was forced and took too long. I'm also sort of disappointed that there was nothing in the final chapter to at least close off that bit considering how big of a plot point it was (I know that things were settled once they got back together, but I think there needed to be something to conclude their storyline since the final show does that really well for almost every other character).

I'm probably off to read RiN now I suppose

Alright, I spoke too soon. Should've seen this coming. Washizu sure is resilient.

Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki ch31

The poor Fairy Queen. She's the true victim of this arc.

Akagi 297

LMAO. This is Fukumoto's last elder god level troll. Washizu is more resilient then a Dragon Ball Z character. He already died and came back once before.

Haikyu ~102

If I have any legit complaint with this it's that we've spent waaaay too much time in training camps. This tokyo training arc was basically an entire year of serialization focused completely on training and character building. It's exceptionally well done but it did start to drag towards the end especially when it focused on tsukishma. When you're 100 chapters into a series and more then half of them have been spent in training arcs it gets frustrating. I get that this was probably the big one and we won't see another one unless this series goes into a second year of school and even if we did it won't be as long as this one was (I hope)

This arc is the first time where I felt Hinata really grew out of the shadows as a character who helped Kageyama grow into his own character and the true lead of the series. I also really like the Hitoka she's quickly grown into my favorite character in the series. Her introduction finally gave Shimizu a role in the story besides for just being "the girl" for all the guys to get creepy protective of/go gaga for. Minor complaint but I wish the main cast had more legit antagonistic rivals who were a legit threat too many of the rivals feel like "best friends on opposite teams". We have the one top 3 guy who fits that role but I'm hoping the series will establish a team where its pure oil and water. No friends just two sets of characters who want to kill each other.
