Best banner: FF3/BF1 combo: got Luneth, Refia, and Elza (but no Tilith)
Worst banner: Secret of Mana

Slightly-less-than-worst banner: Just about everything else

Didn't think Global was going to get the new trial until the next story release, due next week. MAG +30% isn't anything new, but a freebie is a freebie. Zyrus likes it very much.

I have 105 item slots :/ I increased it a few times as I was traveling to the US and didn't have time to redeem the coins and sort stuff out.

Got this though which I'm happy with :D

Even though they clog up your unit space I really like the idea of banner specific moogles. Wouldn't mind them doing it more.

I wouldn't mind if they did this for every single banner. People on the fence about pulling that specific unit would pull for sure just because of the free TM.

Damn, I pulled exclusively because of Zyrus TM and now I'm wasting 250 every day because I want another one. Saving 20 spaces for a future pull is straight up not viable for people like me with dozens of multiple characters waiting to be farmed.

I've liked what I've heard so far, Type 0 seems to have a pretty good soundtrack. Just glad we're finally getting it over with. We all knew it was coming, now we can cross it off the list!

Got a T4 Attack cryst from running the highest difficulty in the JP event. Now I'm sitting on 12 for the next big attack enhancement. =o

I'm 99% sure Balthier will be in the next batch of enhancement candidates and being my very first premium 5* DPS I absolutely want to enhance him, but god help me coz i'm only sitting at 2 T4 red crysts!

I'm exaggerating somewhat for effect, but let's be real: this banner is trash.

A 5* cap unit. No more needs be said here.
A 4* base unit whose optimal damage delivery system is auto-attacking. I can't find the JP video I saw once of this guy's 6-hit DW auto-attack but it's so long I passed out from exhaustion after the fourth hit.
A 5* base red mage whose GL enhancement is essentially just +10% HP (Survival Edges). Unless Boomerang Dagger is Alterna's damage for Bioga's MP cost, she's Reraise: The Character, By The Way I Hope You Brought A SPR Buff From Someone Else.

Furthermore, we know what these characters' enhancements are in the future, at least as a baseline. King isn't viable (and I doubt any enhancements could make him so) and Rem is middling. Conversely, we all knew Randi becomes a tiny god after enhancements and Orlandeau is a god to start with.

Sage advice around these parts is to pull for banners, not single units. Lots of us ignore this advice, but it's sage nonetheless. It's a bad banner.

Also, people are tired of Type-0 content in general. So that's a considerable factor.

I use two maxed Xons and my luck is still minimal. I managed to boost both my lightnings Lightspeed to +2. I think that was maybe 6 Gigancrysts received.... I also think i have 2 or 3 Healing Gigancryst but one of those is from log in rewards. Hopefully I can get another three more Xons for a full team soon... or a Garnet. She's one I wanted since forever. </3

Just got another 2 G cryst. Just running TT and Xon in the party. This was within 3 runs of one another. I know the sample size is small but i ran this all weekend and not a single one. I put xon in and get three in the same day and spent less than 250 energy. Believe in the Xon!

NP. I'll likely pull a few times just to scratch an itch or at least get one or two blue bonus units.

Waiting to see if there will be any hidden "global exclusive curveballs" in these exclusive skills or in the mog king datamine to see how many pulls I want to casually invest in this banner to scratch that itch.

As I said earlier multiple times. I don't like the fact that this is 3rd time we have FF0 event :/. But as always I will go "ham" and use all the tix I get during event and pull from event banner. Cause I like pulling crap and usually these King Mog banners have better (imo) pull rate for bonus scrubs than banners outside of KM events.

= >12 tix will be used during this event. Hopefully I pull event scrubs. Also one Rainbow wouldn't hurt, Iam way "overdue" from my last Rainbow, it was on January :(.

I'm no disputing that lol. What I'm saying is every non tactics banner has been trash too no? Yet people seemed to not have an issue with them because of the 0.5% chance they had at the 5* (ignoring the type zero hate for a moment).

I mean between 6, tactics, and SoM the only good non 5* base was Setzer. Even the TMs were useless. I don't really see why people didn't have an issue spending 10 tickets and going even so they could farm the event then, but now suddenly it's egregious to do so.

But as you say, the disliking of type zero seems to be a big factor. Having never played the game I don't really have any feelings towards it so I guess that's why I'm ok with just getting this over with. Mog king is mog king to me and it's always going to be shit lol.

Elza enhancement placeholders from the datamine. The return of Tilith is nigh.

Rem's GL exclusive ability is... a stacking ST magic attack that benefits from DW and weapon element/killer abilities, ala Wild Card. 10 points to whoever in here called that already.

Orlandeau banner was trash. Presence of one good 5* unit on a banner does not redeem it for anyone but whales. Mog King banners, in general, are not great - I think that's intentional, since you're incentivized to pull on it anyway. The FFT banner was also more warmly received because everyone and their dad pulled for Orlandeau so we were drowned in 100% bonus units + the chocobos seemed far more generous than in the utterly dreadful Type-0 #2 event.

There's also just the simple fact that as the game progresses, these busted ass units are less attractive. We've gotten two shots of interesting GL-exclusive unit design since then (Xon+Fryevia, Zyrus+Reberta). Whether they're powerful or top tier or not isn't quite as important as they're new and interesting. King shooting a unit for 30 minutes is not interesting. When things are going forward, it's irritating to go back to a well we've already been to twice.

Also, Sice and King's TMs aren't great either. I think the value of Auto-Refresh is pretty well overstated in GL because so many people are TM'd to the gills and you can obliterate things so effectively.

Echidna looks interesting. It seems Ling might be key in this fight. Between MP regen, esunaga, and natural immunity to the status ailments it inflicts she'll definitely be putting in some work.

Slightly worried about it's 50% death but just got to hope RNG doesn't screw me and only Cecil goes down.

Doing some quick math. Rem's BiS gives her 1023 mag, which isn't too bad. Considering Dagger Boomerang seems to be a very good skill she could potentially be a strong damage dealer.

Seeing as she got her dual wielding dagger enhancement early Dagger Boomerang could potentially be the replacement enhancement.

Assuming we can get 2 daggers the dagger build gives her 953, which also isn't that bad.

Saw the datamine and laughed.

It's all coming during the Global Anniversary Event (Month-long?) EVERYTHING.

We know Elza's upgraded skill names now. All that's left is figuring out the values.

Dark Reaper +2 --> +100% ATK when wielding a spear, 100% dark resistance (unlikely: some 5* status debuff immunities, as she has none now)
Ravishing Blow +2 --> 60% DEF/SPR debuff, 50% dark imperil
Madness Rush +2 --> 4 or 5 RT hits, 500%/600% net damage, 200% LB fill rate

All going to be near max-tier (think Mercedes or DFina) expensive to raise.

Kind of interesting. Amusingly, I think her best non-Genji Glove setup might be Enhancer (/Fryevia's Needle) + Second Knife + L&A. She needs a dagger to proc her passive but unless we can get two Defender's Daggers (weapons are almost always limit: 1) there's no other MAG dagger option. Dagger Boomerang loses a lot of value if you aren't DWing since it won't gain a second stack of the damage increase (assumption laced with hope that this is how it works), so this seems like the best option in practice.

Dagger Boomerang alone makes her considerably more interesting, though unfortunately not interesting enough to chase for me and my 120 lapis. But I'll look forward to seeing what others can do with her.

I think replacing the second knife with draco spike and a dual wield for 1 L&A would be a bit stronger for a non 5* base tm build (should be around 15 more mag).

You're right about the dagger. I'm really hoping they make an exception this time round though as they gave her dual wield daggers and it makes the non 5* base build pretty strong (948 mag).

Just ran some numbers and I'm thinking she might still be better with 2 daggers (I'm thinking Survival Edge for the extra HP). It's a marginal difference (2 daggers - 836, enhancer draco - 831) but it means not needing letters and arms.

Lol it's raining similar units for me. Up to 2 Snows, 3 Kains and 3 Cinque now. Just curious though, with Zyrus being a mage isn't he a little on the underwhelming side? TM has good stats I guess.

To be honest if it wasn't Zyrus mines been basically scrap as well. Penellos etc. I'm debating dropping a ticket or two for that Firion (Samsung spell check can get it right this time) but I just know it's gonna be more trash. I'm at about 15 or so with no Firion so I think it's time to admit defeat.

Its easiest way for me to get my Ace MAG higher. But it ain't so easy.
Not so easy way is to pull 1-2 Emperor's...

I beat ADV pretty easily, as expected. No real strategy involved... just beat up the plant. PRO was much, much harder and I lost on my first time through. Went in again with Ling and managed to win relatively easily, although I missed the water magic reward. I decided to give ELT a whirl and a serious beatdown. So I'm going to wait for some strategies to roll out before trying that again. Plus, I need to let my NRG refresh a bit.

Going to try noct fish evade tank before snow. Tried to brute force it w dual landu and TT as the finisher and failed as this fool cant be broken and has 50% light resist.

I killed him in three turns with Orlandu, no problem. OTK is bad because we need time for the esper, so the resistance is a blessing.

1st turn) Snow got the MP drained before the battle started, I used Embolden with Refia, Wind buff with Minfillia and I chained with Orlandu.

2nd turn) Double Curaja, Earth resistance buff, Snow attack and I chained with Orlandu.

3rd turn) Another chain and the Esper kill.

Used the three tickets, two golds, Nine and Agrias..... FUCK. I'll burn all of them from the event tomorrow and if I don't get another Zyrus I'll be very sad >.>

Nah, mages are still trash. Even with the best possible equipment you won't be doing more than 300k-400k per spell. There will be some specific bosses weak to magic though, so Zyrus pulls are great.

PHY Chain is the meta and will be for a very long time. Emperor with enhancements will be an exception for long fights though.
