Messed up the kill bonus by having it on 1* until it got to like level 100, like I think I could crank it to 20* and catch up but it may be a tad more difficult and I think I need to buff my Sage with supporting characters (she's got 40m all stats so I think it is doable).
Yes. Get Christo a Maid, another Sage and 1 more generic unit - Professor works great here. Teach them all Angel Song, Cursed Dance, Evil Eye and Explorer. That shouldn't be any more than a half hour of work considering where you already are in the game. Also equip them with Softening Aura, Relaxation and Explorer(optional). Give your Sage standard DD evilities(Violence/Purgatory/GD/etc) but add on Twins Heads and Bullying. Priority is 2nd Sage, Maid, Christo then last generic. Keep your main Sage on the Base Panel and use Multi-Attacker. Magic Boost if there's enough space for a 3rd unit. Use Land Decimator and Afternoon Tea to clean up any extras. It's a bit of effort to set up, and it's ideal to have at least one other strong character to finish of stragglers or eat an attack if needed. I was able to clear 20* Prinny Rooms at 40 or 50m stats with this method(and using Alma Ice Sculpture).
When my Sage was at the 40m point, I found that I would get low on SP after about 7 or 8 floors so the relaxation helped a lot. Land Decimator at lvl 99, +9 costs 1,007,769 space so 6 of those every map add up quickly.
There are guides of slightly different methods but this is what I found most effective personally. I can make a video of my whole IW setup if you want to give some ideas.
After finishing the demo I love how the developers went all in to support player fun above everything else. They took player freedom to 11, sometimes in hilarious ways.
I enjoy leveling up in games. In Disgea 5? Everything levels up lol. Literally everything. Characters, skills, spells, weapons, stores, items. Die a lot? Congrats you just leveled up the hospital, and here's a prize! It's bonkers, but in a great way.
I like games that are easy to learn but have a lot of depth in strategy, skills and weapons. In Disgea 5 I learned that you can form a tower of people and beat the shit out of bad guys with it, and then throw characters from the tower all over the map. The game doesn't care if I bring 8 characters into a fight with only 4 enemies, or if I only bring 4 characters to a fight with 8 enemies. I can throw exploding penguins who hate their job.
This, exactly. Disgaea D2 and D5 are the games where the developers finally just said screw it with the restrictions and started making it to where you can do almost anything with almost any character. The Evilities are a bit more balanced and you can literally change any aptitudes that you want. You can make a Warrior have an S in Staves, and 300% Int scaling if you want. It's great and finally the player isn't dependent on just a few characters with the best Evilities and Aptitudes. Well, there's 1 "required" class for endgame but that's it.
That Tower Laser is amazing for taking on things with underleveled characters btw.
