Instant purchase for me. I owned the PS3 version but quit playing a few hours in as I couldn't get on with the frame rate and crazy texture pop-in. Very excited to finally play the game properly!

That reminds me to finally get it for my new laptop, loved the game even on ps3

Does it go on sale on Steam regularly?

Awesome

Really glad I can get this on PS4 since I've wanted to play it for a while but the PS3 version had some serious performance issues.

Ehh... I bought this a couple times already and I just can't get hyped at all. completed a quest early on my last attempted play through on PC and it blocked me from completing a bunch of quests I was in the middle of, and auto saved over my single allowed save file. Too much punishment for just talking to an NPC for me to handle and so I just stopped playing and don't really want to go back.

Maybe if they patch multiple save files or make the game portable (so I can find time to play this big game) I might give it another shot.

That's fantastic. Literally just this past weekend, my buddy told me about the game and showed me gameplay. I was sold, and was going to dust off my 360 and buy it.

What's the gist of Dragon's Dogma? I know the combat is what everyone loves, it's like an open works monster hunter?

One of my favourite games from last gen, but I played it to death. That said, if the PS4 port is a big improvement I'll probably go through the whole game (inc. BBI) again :)

Imagine if you had the Devil May Cry team make an action RPG.

Because that's what happened.

More specifically, you have an interesting world and lore, a plot that's good but doesn't dominate the game (it often feels slightly secondary in fact), a cool open world that's big enough, but not too big, awesome large monsters and cool combat mechanics for fighting them. It's the responsiveness of the combat that makes the game though, as well as all of the cool effects of the special abilities. It all just feels really fluid and fast paced.

Devil May Cry x Shadow of the Colossus x Final Fantasy XII

You guys are doing it wrong.

Just say Berserk, everyone goes nuts when they hear Berserk.

I never did get around to platinuming the original, or finishing BBI so this is great.

Also I can't see this not being a precursor to a sequel that's already in development. If it was sooner after the PC release then maybe it would just be a test but 18+ months later it feels more like prepping the audience for more.

Man, what took them so long? I feel like this franchise would do so much better if Capcom wasn't mismanaging the hell out of it.

If Capcom had gone for the B-tier, niche market like From Software did, we'd have like 4 DD games by now. Problem is, they wanted DD to be Skyrim without having the budget to make it Skyrim, then abandoned ship when it didn't sell 6 million units.

Now that Capcom is comfortably out of the AAA games business, hopefully their expectations are more reasonable.

It's been a while since last i played the game but i think at least in the Dark Arisen version they had the option to turn pawn chat completely off?

Never got Dark Arisen but they probably did lol...what did that vendor say again in that great deep voice all the time...bearer of whatever... ?

Gimme Vanilla Intro or gimme nothing

That intro was so ugly though, texture wise, when I saw that I was like what's this,ewwww...

I played the base game in xbox360.

Then the base game with Dark Arisen in ps3.

Then I replayed the whole thing when it came to pc.

Now I will buy for the fourth time in ps4.

One of the best games ever made.

I really want to be excited about this... but I just got the PC version like a month ago. With mods, there's no point... Where the fuck is DD2 and/or DDO, Capcom?!?!? Get your shit together.
SHAMON, E3!!

This game STILL has, by far, the best character customization, when it comes to gear and accessories.. having armor AND clothes?? Thank you for that, Capcom.

Holy shit, thank god I ignored my PS+ copy all this time. I may be able to play something comparable to the PC version (I hope!) after all.

Give me Dragons Dogma 2 Capcom quit messing around.

The ideas in Dragons Dogma were excellent...they just couldn't quite execute on them due to their first time out with an open world.

Now that we live in a post Witcher 3 post Zelda world.....its time...its time for Capcom to take the next step.

I don't recall them spending much on marketing. In fact the biggest advert they had was a pretty good demo and that's the best kind of marketing you can do. You also have to remember that during DDs time, Twitch streaming wasn't as big of a way to sell a game.

Their sales expectations were met, too, which is why I don't understand people pulling out that 10 million market for it. DD is just an expensive game for them to make. With Deep Down probably canned, they could reuse much of that or use the UE4 as they have before to cut costs.

I will happily double-plat this game. Been itching to replay it (wrapped it up before DA landed), but had been holding out hope that this would happen. Almost lost faith. Almost.

Welp this will be my 5th time buying the game and as much as I completely love this game it's really a shame that we've been playing the same game since 2012.

Why can't we have Dragon's Dogma online in the West? Hopefully sales for these New Ports in addition with the PC and everything else will finally convinced them to give us a true sequel.

Iirc someone mentioned that its F2P model is similar to MH Online and wouldn't fly in the west without some serious changes.
