I've seen some shitty stuff on Twitter.

As much as we'd like to think the kind of people who would find joy or a silver lining in a story like this are tucked away in some dark corner of the internet on some shitty, 45 member message board, there are many who rush at the chance to show the world just how hearltess they are.

Yeah, in all honest Gaf is probably better than most places at being respectful about the news, no doubt MHWilliams letting people know from the drop that no fuckery would be allowed was a huge deterrent as well.

That being said, I doubt the respectfulness stretches far. Zack's movies (as most blockbusters) might not be a big deal to the public, but online they are a huge target so I'm sure lots of shit fanboys with no perspective in life are looking at this in a typically pathetic fashion.

Anyway, when it comes to the whole Whedon thing, I hope postproduction goes smooth (as smoothly as something like this can be that is), and that he isn't scared off from making his Batgirl movie at the end of it. I'm sure he was hoping for it to be a while before having to put together another huge superhero ensemble film. It's pretty crazy that he's gonna have input into both the Avengers and Justice League even before IW is out.

I've been thinking if Whedon's envolvement will be limited to helping Zack with JL and doing his Batgirl solo or if he inevitably will become some sort of dceu overseer down the line..that is unless Zack keeps tabs on things from a distance.

Fans of the “Dark Universe,” a.k.a. “Justice League Dark,” comics are going to have to wait a bit longer for the film adaptation, as it just lost its director.

Sources tell Variety that director Doug Liman has left the project. Insiders say the reason is schedule-related, as Liman is also attached to direct Lionsgate’s “Chaos Walking,” which recently received a greenlight. Sources say the studio has already started meeting with other directors and should have a replacement for Liman lined up shortly.

As somebody who never really thought Liman was the right choice for Justice League Dark, can't say I'm disappointed.
