Hey--

Ending PS I Love You XOXO wasn't an easy decision, but I think it's for the best. This show without Colin wouldn't be the same. I'm taking the DNA of the show and doing something new with it, and I'm excited to talk about it at Kinda Funny Live 3. (You'll hear about it right away if you're not there.)

For now, thanks for the bad PSN names, listening to the waterman stories, caring about Colin's TP, and talking PlayStation with us.

Enjoy this finale with Dunham, and then check out Sam's 'Everything' video that I couldn't link to because YouTube changed annotations while I was gone: https://youtu.be/kWb5PBlq27M

It's been my pleasure to serve you!
Greg

Just as well - I have no reason to listen to PS I Love You now that Colin is gone. Greg was only ever useful as a counterpoint to Colin's arguments.

The quality has dropped quite a bit since Colin left. I watch their Morning Show when I can but I'm quickly losing interest there as well. They just ramble to each other and provide very little informed discussions anymore.

The other guys are fine but I only really appreciated Greg and Colin. I didn't expect for me to be so turned off with Colin not on any of the content...

Listened to every podcast Greg and Colin did since June 2011. Thanks for everything guys, sad to see the show go, and haven't enjoyed the KF content since Colin left, but I'll never forget the memories I have associated with Greg and Colin's Playstation podcast. Go BEYOND!

It's definitely the right move to to end the podcast without Colin. Wonder what they'll do next.

Whats up with EA Fans using other threads like this to promote their website all the time?

This post clearly aims at derailing this thread which is about the final episode of a long lasting PlayStation Podcast.

Yeah It's honestly quite annoying.

Ouch. How has KF been doing since Colin left?

I've been listening to quite a few of the Gamescasts and other youtube content, but honestly it feels like a bunch of guys mucking around. I get it, that's what Kinda Funny is, but with Colin on their shows at least there was a level of seriousness but above all else knowledge about the industry that really isn't there at the moment. I miss having someone on the team that knows about every developer and publisher and what they are up to and criticizing some things.
I know Colin wasn't all knowing or perfect, but I thoroughly enjoyed his different opinion. Andy - the new guy - seems cool but no one else has the same presence as Colin.

always chasing the next thrill
Show would still have been a thing if colin didnt leave :(

I hope they find their thing soon

Kinda Funny is Kinda Shit without Colin.

Their content has been abysmal since he left to the point where I don't see it lasting much longer without a large shake up in personnel.

Thanks to you both for all the years of content and interesting debate.

I don't know, but it leaves a sour taste in my mouth regarding anything EA related as a result.

PS I Love You was my second favorite gaming podcast after Beyond so I'm sad to see it go. What are some other good Playstation/gaming podcasts that could help fill the void? Easy Allies is decent, but not as good as the others.

Most of their content hasn't been the same since Colin left. I often disagreed with him, but his presence added an element they badly needed.

Not all that surprising really. Their gaming content has taken a bit of a nose dive since Collin left. They need to bring in a person who's knowledgeable when it comes to gaming and will debate the other two. I don't mind Tim, but he and Greg by themselves produces very little in terms of interesting game discussion.

I like how when Colin was on Kinda Funny, GAF would give him so much shit about how they hate how he's always negative and his take on a lot of things. And now that he's pretty much left the industry "everyone's" pining after him. haha.

Just an interesting observation.

no a lot of people on GAF gave him shit for his questionable opinions on things unrelated to video games

It's because there's no reason to berate someone who isn't a part of something anymore.

Since he's in his own echo chamber and we can avoid him in video game discussions there's no reason for anyone to spout how much they dislike him or his views.

Patreon at least has crashed.

Pretty huge drop

So what's a good PlayStation podcast? I tend to spend most of my time on my PS4, and I really appreciated listening to the rundown of all the new game releases. Even though I visit NeoGAF like all the time, I still found out about new things from the podcast. I don't know why they can't do a new PSX podcast but whatever. I still consume as much Kinda Funny as I can, because I find Greg, Tim, and Nick extremely fun to listen to and watch (oh and floating head Kevin too).

I'd be lying if I said the channel still felt the same after Colin's resignation. I really haven't been listening to the podcasts nearly as much as I used to, and I dropped the Gamescast a while ago, not for quality reasons but because I just didn't have time for it, but I still check out their twitch Morning Show and those are still very entertaining. I guess mainly because they always had rotating hosts when it came to that.

Not great IMO. Quality of the content has declined. The guys seem less prepared than before. Gamescast has been terrible when it comes to balance and variety of topics.
Quite the opposite. It's been much better without that sad sack dragging down the mood of the podcast with his utter lack of enthusiasm.

They're pining for a focused show with different viewpoints, that doesn't necessarily mean they want Colin back or that him leaving wasn't a positive.

It's been plainly obvious that the podcast has been spinning its wheels since he left and I get the impression it's not even because they don't have a plan, it's more that they want to do some big reveal at their fan con or whatever so they're just treading water until then, which seems like a really stupid idea and a poor way to treat their audience.

Whose pinning after him? If they are they probably didn't have that big of an issue with Colin in the first place. Also being nostalgic about a show that you enjoyed at times seems pretty normal to me.
