Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer

oh snap...will Jaime be
executing a mad queen too?

Massive potential spoilers (though the clues are all there to see) -

He killed the Mad King after he burned Ned's father and brother, ordered the same of Jaime for Tywin, and wanted to burn the city and all inhabitants with wildfire. You saw Jaime's face both when he saw the city burning and Cersei being crowned. We know she doesn't love him as much as he and she thinks - she sleeps around when he's gone.

Maggie the Frog's prophecy said that "The Valonqar will wrap its hands around your throat and squeeze the life out of you". Valonqar is Valyrian for "little brother". Cersei, of course, hating him from the moment of his birth, took this to mean Tyrion. However, of the two twins, Cersei was born first. Jaime is technically her little brother.

I think we know how Cersei is going to meet her end, though they may change it up a little in the show. We did see the Red Keep was gutted in one of Bran's visions - I think that once they begin to lose to Danny's assault, she will order that the city be burned with wildfire. Jaime tries to stop her, and when he realises he either can't or he's too late, he'll kill her.

Open to interpretation, of course.

They've painted the Lannisters as pathetically weak at this point in the story to the point where they'll have to backtrack to make them stronger.

There's only so many endings at this point, Jon and Sansa win. Cersei - Lannister victory. Or a Danerys victory.

Personally I always thought that the book thematically makes a character suffer, and suffer some more, and then they get the sweet redemption and justice.

So in terms of that, Jon and Sansa will be victorious, Cersei and Danerys will destroy each other with mutually assured crazy.

As to the White Walkers, AKA wild card I don't think anyone expects them to be in charge at the end of the show, either ultimately getting obliterated by martyrdom from anther wildcard character like Bran.

I don't think we're going to be getting a surprise Podrick takeover or anything like that.

That reminds me, does anyone have that link to the spoilers? I thought they had a total plot outline already right?

No Jon + Dany Targaryen reunion?

I want to see Jon get burned to ash but I don't think I'll get my wish.

I want them all to die. Every single one of these idiots caught up in the game of thrones. Let them all kill each other. Their thirst for power will kill them all and only Jon and Arya will be left to deal with the White Walkers in season 8.

I think they've painted everyone as relatively broken down after years of war. Lannisters still have a decent force between the soldiers at KL and Casterly Rock. They also have the Riverlands' army and a shitload of Wildfire. Plus an alliance with The Iron Islands makes too much sense not to happen. It'll take a miracle for them to defeat Dany, but it's totally plausible that they put up a solid fight.

It's funny, Cersei finds herself staring the then hypotheticalDothraki conundrum her and Robert talked about in the face.

"Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field." And that looks like that's exactly what she's doing. Expect her to have a trick or two tucked away.

i thought cersei accumulated alot of wildfire? Surely that meant something.

Yeah, and she blew it all up in the S06 season finale.

Anyway, since Cersei is the only 'main villain' left, they will probably pull something out of their ass to keep her alive until at least the starts of season 8, even though by all rights she probably shouldn't even survive a single episode of season 7.

No those caches were already there. There is still wildfire spread around kings landing.

There's still the uncle of Theon. Though I wouldn't be surprised if he is killed quickly in the first episode, lol.

right, the Ironborn are still around too. They probably just eliminate themselves together with Dorne so only the actual relevant players stick around for the last season

More like Euron intends on punishing his nephew and niece and attacks them directly, and they respond in kind. And Danaerys, who has no intention of marrying Euron, ends it with dragons.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?

I hope everyone dies and the White Walkers turn things into a Winter wonderland.

What better way to deal with enemies on all sides and dragons than to make a deal with the White Walkers themselves? Enemy of my enemy and al that

My fear is we'll be disappointed no matter what. The show relied too much on the "shock!" "Twist!!" strategy that it even sacrificed logic and character arcs, so every possible ending feels cheap and unsatisfying at this moment.

I hope the mistery behind the white walkers will turn the story upside down, it's the only way to salvage the ending for me at this point.

GRRM said that the ending of Thrones is gonna be LoTR style bittersweet so don't expect the bad guy to win but do expect still a lot of casualties

how is lotr bittensweet? lotr's ending is literally fairy tale like where all good guy survived.

Daenerys embraces Jon one last time.

"My wounds may never heal, that's why I must go," said Jon Snow.

Jon Snow rides off into the sunset into the West.

Daenerys writes a book about her adventures with Jon Snow.

WHAT CAN YOU SEE! ON THE HORIZON!

I would really like to know just how much he told D&D about books 6 and 7, cause based on season 6 and especially season 5 the answer seemed to be: Not much. I really hope we don't have yet another Lucas situation where he claimed to have a detailed outline for how it all went down but then it just turns out to be a few pages of notes.

The passing of the Elves, the breaking of the fellowship, Frodo's failure and then leaving the Shire for the Undying Lands along with Gandalf and Bilbo. Arwen choosing to stay. The good guys won, but it's not a traditional happy ending.

the movie may have been happy but the book ending was bittersweet.

I'm a noob compared to most of y'all in terms of hardcore Thrones fan stuff, this is just one thing I know.

my actual prediction for the ending:

jon and dany will have a baby, and then one of them will die. dany will die, leaving jon to be king; and it will be ironic because, dany's wanted to rule on the iron throne all her life but she will die, never getting the chance, and jon will have to rule, with his son/daughter, even though he never wanted to be king. he never wanted the iron throne.

in fact, he never asked to be lord commander of the night's watch.

or the king in the north.

he has leadership thrust upon him.

His father deserved it

GRRM is so edgy that either Jon or Dany will probably die at the end just because everyone thinks they're gonna get together and take the throne as king and queen. Fingers crossed for Dany getting stomped on by a dragon or turned into a WW. Would be sweet revenge for six seasons of a garbage character and storyline.

Cersi looking pretty comfortable on that throne with Jamie standing next to her. She must have forgotten his nickname already. They dont call him the Kingslayer for nothing. RIP Cersi.

Speaking of educated speculation. Its pretty obvious that...

Tyrion is the prince that was promised. Game of thrones is going to end with a magnificent 7 style fight vs the walkers where each of the 7 will represent each of the westeros 7 God archtypes.

Tyrion has positive connections with every other major player alive.

Dany: Currently Advising
Jon: went with him to the wall in season 1 and both advised and mentored him
Sansa: they were married and Tyrion treated her well
Bran: Tyrion designed his saddle
Jamie: Brothers who were close growing up and can easily mend their current strained relationship.

The only one he doesnt have a relationship with in the show is Arya and in leaked book chapters they cross paths.

Although i am leaning towards Jon and Dany both being on team undead on Brieanne and Gendry filling the remaining roles.

Besides GRRM does love his irony. So Brieanne being representative of "The Maid" or Jamie the Warrior despite only having one hand is fitting.

I don't care how predictable it will be Cersei and the Lannister reign should not last more than half the season. She has all the most powerful kingdoms against her plus Dany and her Unsullied and Dothraki armies. She doesn't have the intelligence or cunning to come up with an even halfway decent plan stop what's coming for her. I almost want to call it a jump the shark moment if her and the Lannister are not obliterated. The focus should be getting the kingdoms united to prepare for the real battle with the WWs.

I have this very strange feeling that Jon, Cersi, and Dany are gonna have a threesome when all the sides team up and take on the white walkers. Just a gut feeling.

All I want is for Danni to come and wreck the Lannister's shit. Then Jon and her go wreck the shit out of the white walkers. Then either she separates the kingdom and forges an alliance, or she makes Jon the warden of the north, Tyrion remains as her advisor, and the other places fall to peace.
