Thanks for the heads up! Ordered it for collection on Saturday since I'm gonna be going right past the nearest John Lewis...

...haven't recieved a confirmation email or text yet which is worrying.

It's not looking too likely, though the day is not yet over.

Although the timing sounded ideal, announcing in May for an October release was a concern.

I'll still be bummed if it doesn't get announced today though...

This is probably the first time this walmart has had anything out early, they're usually 2-3 weeks late with everything.

Bat-bird Vultureman is a cool build, Shocker's shockers are disappointing though, just those big fist thingies. And you don't actually get a Tony Stark, the head is just blank trans-blue. Weird.

Holy moly, I knew the Saturn V was going to be big before I bought it, but it's WAY bigger than I pictured in my head.

I finished the first module and just that is huge, and it's only about half of the total height or so.

I'm waiting for the shock "UCS Millennium Falcon for MegaBloks" announcement.

In other words, they double-crossed us

Finished building brick bank this morning. Loved it. So many neat little builds and all the detail is great.

I finished it yesterday. Not my favorite in terms of overall look but, yeah, the inside build was fantastic. The money laundry mini-build was probably the highlight for me.

15% off regularly priced items at TRU this weekend. Thinking that's just enough to get me to buy a Quadjumper and Rathtar Escape. Barely.

GAF, decisions need to be made: Carousel or Silent Mary. Leaning towards the licensed D2C for fear of early retirement (and the fact that I already ordered it but that carousel is calling me like a siren..)

Neither of them will retire for at least a year, but if you're not going to buy the second one for a very considerable amount of time then I imagine the Carousel will be a lot harder to Bricklink.

It'll be around longer too, though, if you can pick it up in a reasonable time.

Will probably be Apollo 13, When we left Earth and From the Earth to the Moon for me!

watching saturn v documentaries while messing around with the lego one, shits so cool

I'm watching Sherlock season 4

Also on the Saturn V, this build is just pissing me off with the brilliant SNOTwork. I seriously want to smack the designers of it for making me feel like an idiot with his mouth agape. Just saying.

EDIT: I think the more years you have put in LEGO the more brilliantly irritating this build is. I don't hate it, the techniques are just maddening insane.

I'm going to suggest Silent Mary. Yea a bit of bias, its still holding strong as my favorite set this year but since its the only PoTC set, and a large one at that, there is really no telling when it will be retired or what its shelf life will be. Because of all the unique pieces, zombie sharks and of course being a ship it will probably rise pretty high in the after market too. Ferris Wheel is still available so its a good bet Carousel will be around for a while.

Speaking of Carousel after watching Jang's reviews on the Batwing and Ultimate Batmobile sets i'm not as hyped on them. I'm still interested in both but I can wait for sales on them. If I have the extra money after getting Saturn V on the 1st I may get the Carousel mid june.

first order star destroyer looks cool, not sure how to feel about the assault walker. Im not a huge fan of its design from that blurry picture, the proportions and shape of the head are kind of weird, but it might be better in high quality

I was just going to post it :D

I guess those are the biggest ones.

The walker looks funny with the pumped up front legs and thin hind ones :D

Specifically the last three (which are the most expensive):

75176 €39.99
75177 €59.99
75179 €79.99
75187 BB-8 €99.99
75188 Resistance Bomber €109.99
75189 First Order Heavy Assault Walker €139.99
75190 First Order Star Destroyer €149.99

Underwhelmed with the
Snoke minifigure

yeah it's long been discussed that he's actually close to human size and his projection was just for effect. I thought he was still supposedly taller than an actual human though?

It reminds me of how I feel about captain america minifigs... they deserve an actual helmet piece not just a stud on top. Snoke is an important character, they could have done something better.

Otherwise... looking good
