I mean, the movie isn't even out yet for us plebs and people don't even have the decency to tag spoilers. Of course I know there will be spoilers.

Too be fair when a title says [SPOILERS] it means untagged spoilers.

If enough people don't like untagged spoilers from the start then perhaps I will do it the traditional OT style next time.

I'm actually surprised to see someone complain about unmarked movie spoilers for the movie that a spoiler thread is dedicated to.

The score is generic: the score. Literally no memorability besides Zimmer's theme, and they didn't even adapted it for the time. Slightly dissapointed.

I'm going to be 25 by the time The Batman hits

I was 17 when it came out. I wasn't even aware of it and my cousin dragged me to a showing. One of the first films, maybe even the first, that we drove to on our own after getting a license.

So, it really did take a woman's touch to save the DCEU. Good on em. Now let's hope that carries over to Justice League. With the reception that WW is getting, Zack and Joss better make sure it fits in line with the tone. I don't think I can stomach another 13 months of DC hate if JL pulls a BvS.

Spare me the "save the DCEU" angle. Looks like we have the first critical hit on our hands, but with all the money made and films in production, we've come a long way since Man of Steel and the three year wait.

This thing was always moving forward.

This sounds pretty good for sure.

Anyway, are we getting a director's cut adding blood to Wonder Woman?

I wouldn't mind that actually. It's nice with some "extras" in the home releases.
No, we're not... Guys you have to read the thread before jumping to the end, haha. It was a misquote regarding the 2009 animated movie getting a re-release to be rated R, which they then apparently backed out of anyway.

That thread needs to be locked.

I posted this in the Wonder Woman tracking thread but I'm sticking it here too so that it can compound my humiliation when/if I'm wrong.

I've decided that I'm going all in on Wonder Woman this summer. I previously kicked around some pretty lofty predictions which I didn't fully commit to. Now, now the time has come.., I'm going for it.

Wonder Woman has an opening weekend close to Man Of Steel's $110-115m with a final North American gross that is in the same neighbourhood as the first two Hunger Game films with $375-400m even with the increased competition of the summer.

These are both long shots, I know this, but they aren't impossible. I think that WW is going to bring in the female audience like no other superhero film has before, after Warners made Tarzan a 'hit' last summer by bringing in the female audience in a big way I think they'll do the same here.

Expect to see this film have great legs as the studio pushes for more 'mother + daughter night out' (or similar promotions) style screenings as a way to bring out more women. I think that this film can attract the traditional comic book audience as well a demographic that wouldn't usually touch a film like this in the cinema.

*folds arms*

So there.

was 15. I grew up on the burton and animated series stuff but Nolan's batman was integral to me even more than those. loved that shit. the Zimmer soundtracks too.

for the early 00s it was basically only marvel movies that were killing it, while DC films were in the toilet after the void that Batman and Robin left. but Nolan brought it back very nicely.

good to see Wonder Woman finally gets her moment in the sun. next ones who really need it are Aquaman and Green Lantern.

This thread makes me feel old.

Also, I really want them to find a director for The Flash so we can get going on Ezra's movie. I'm so excited to see him and Iris on the big screen. Hopefully it's gonna be a comedy romance film of sorts. I wouldn't be hesitant to a buddy cop movie with Cyborg either but I'm just not really invested into the Cyborg character yet.

Hopefully I can convince someone to pay for my ticket to see WW

I refuse to pay for it myself in the event I don't like it, but I wanna see it do well, like I said if it's Iron Man 1 quality of movie...DCEU in business.

That "Angel on The Wing" track is so gooooodddddd. I need that full score
I've heard it in full. It's bad. Sadly.

this doesnt make sense
After SS and BvS I told myself I ain't payin for another DCEU movie. Just wasn't.

I think IM1 is decent. I hope WW is decent, but I refuse to go pay money for the movie after those two. I know I have friends who will pay for me to go see it with them so I can probably go with them.

Completely disagree but to each his own.
When the only memorable thing in your score is the theme made by another composer you know you fucked up.

The thing could be the soundtrack for Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Warcraft, Transformers, Lethal Gun 2, whatever. It has zero identity and zero interesting musicality.l

Green Lantern 2011 was such a disappointment. Martin Campbell isn't consistent, but he was batting a thousand for origin movies between Bond and Zorro.

GLC will hopefully do them justice. Lanterns have the most creative power set in comics.
