Do we get fight money from story mode or is it just customization items? My hwoarang outfit will cost a bomb and at the moment im only sure you get fm from arcade, online and treasure battle

Wait, you mean they DO have character arcade endings right ? Just with ingame engine ?

I'm OK with that.
There are no Arcade endings in the game. Instead there are the characters' episodes in Story mode.

I'd suggest to lower your expectations, guys.

I pretty much only play yoshimitsu and hated what they did to him after 3 but I'm not too against the squid alien look. Wasn't to keen on how they changed his moves up but he seems decent in this...pretty excited.

Hopefully they do have a tonne of cool outfits too, because he's not perfect... I'd probably buy them and more modes too. Hmm maybe I should get the deluxe...

Some black futuristic armour would be damn cool.

Will the Pro give us Full HD 1080p in Tekken 7?

"Full HD 1080p" on a pro? Should be fine.

XxSPADEZxX: Will there be PS4 Pro and Project Scorpio support? If yes, can you provide details?

Katsuhiro Harada: Microsoft hasn’t really announced many details about Scorpio yet, so there isn’t a whole lot we can say about that, and then, for the PS4 Pro, the only thing we can say is there is a noticeable difference in the graphical quality, so for those people who have a PS4 Pro, we hope that you’ll play the game on that platform.

Ok so besides "story" and I guess customization, what can you look forward to as a casual tekken player ?

I'll probably learn the game for once, while I do play other fighting games semi seriously, Tekken is the one game I used to play as a kid for the characters, story and modes, yet could never learn shit about it lmao.

But I'd still like more than just competitive aspect. =(

Do they have bowling and volley ball back ?
No.

The available modes in Offline are:

Story mode:
- Mishima Saga (The one that was shown at E3 last year)
- Characters' episodes (mini-events that concern characters not involved in the main one)

Arcade mode (Exactly like the solo arcade experience)

Treasure Battle mode (Similiar to the previous games' Ghost Battle, but wioh special rules. This is the mode dedicated to unlocking customization items)

Vs mode

Practice mode

Hmm, I hope we will have reviews before release.
I care mainly for local coop (pvp to be exact), so online is not as important.
I dont suppose we will have crossplatform MP :(

Man I'm gonna miss the crazy endings and mini games tbh.

I guess learning the game to not be perfected online is the only way...

What are the online modes ? Any team mode ? (taking turns)

I think it has tournament online ? Which is cool I guess.

EU dude looking for best deal to buy the Deluxe Edition (with Eliza).

I could buy the retail version on Amazon and buy the season pass on Steam but the copy will only come on June 6th at best according to Amazon 😐.

Also since I got a really good connection now, I don't mind going digital.

There are still endings. Mini games are coming later as DLC.

You don't have to play online. Characters rank up offline too.

Honestly I don't see the point not selling the pc version in stores earlier because they can't be played before launch either way.
It's hitting people especially hard who don't have a good Internet connection and/or no friends good one nearby to copy the game on something.

The pc plastic dvd case contains nothing more than the steam code.

Got my key from Gamesplanet on the 26th with some 2000 Bamco points. I then got another code from a friend and ordered a free gundam A4 artwork which is going to be a price on our small launch offline tournament.

Team Battle, Survival?

No chance.

The new mode is very likely something bigger and I think Tekken 3 force is one the most popular ones and I expect something like that.

Smaller modes like Tag battle or survival would be kinda dumb to not make them free or at least very cheap/purchasable with fm.

New Tekken Talk will be soon and they probably will soon announce the new mode.

Just ordered brook converters for (to) my PS4 and listening to the soundtrack on a loop now :) I am pretty hyped and really want to get into Tekken now, hoping for a good GAF community and
casual
matches :)

Does the stupid "Lucky Box" thing after a match still exist? So annoying

I'm super excited that the game is releasing this weekend--I recently changed my work schedule so that I have weekends off. I'll finally be able to attend a launch party with my local scene!

So something that began in Tekken 1 isn't in Tekken 7?

:(

Arcade ending were made into separate story mode from tekken 4 i believe. Since tekken 4 arcade mode hasnt had endings. I think they have shortened the fights in story mode due to the number of characters. However, the prologues will be a bit silly if characters dont turn up in the main story.

Just get the Deluxe from Gamersgate, pretty good price.

This isn't true, endings have played at the end of arcade mode in recent entries (Tag 2 you could unlock them randomly through chests as well).

This game is shaping up to be yet another extreme disappointment in terms of content.

Tekken 7 has over 90 minutes of cutscenes in it. That's like triple the amount you'd find in Tekken 5 and 6. Anyone accusing Namco of being lazy needs to insert a brain into their head.

Seriously? No arcade endings is really lame.

Oh right, was thinking it'd be lame 2d slides in story mode like SFV (at least when it first came out), that's fine. Though I do prefer the arcade + ending style but I guess if they've fleshed out the story it had to be done that way.

Though both would have been nice :p

40 second clips at the end, probably still a considerable amount with all the characters and how interesting they'd have to be.

So if I pre-order the digital deluxe version for PS4 from Amazon US, they'll just email me the PSN code on the day of release?

And from what I've read, US PSN game download codes should work on Canadian PS4s, correct? I think only PSN cards for store currency are locked to US only.

(I have credit on Amazon US, which would actually make it cheaper than buying in locally, which is why I'm asking.)

Dunno about your first question (I think they do)

Yes to your second question.

Sure, this garbage 90 minutes story mode compensates for the hours of gameplay I would have spent in a good arcade mode like T4's.

And those single fight character episodes, I'd rather not even talk about it...

Now that SFV has a story mode AND character prologues, it beats T7 in terms of story content.

On the bright side, you don't have to grind shitty ass survival to unlock colors.

90 minutes of cutscenes for the main story, not including fights. Plus however long it takes to complete the side stories. Pretty sure the time it takes to do all that is comparable to previous games.

Ghost Battle/Treasure Battle made Arcade mode obsolete years ago. That's why they made it completely optional in Tag 2. It has nothing to offer.

If i understand this right everything included in the Deluxe Edition (Season Pass + Metallic costumes) gonna be also in the seperate season pass?

Im just asking because it would suck to miss out on the metallic costumes if i wait before buying the season pass.

Yes. That's why if you're unsure on buying the deluxe edition, just pre-order the regular version and get the season pass when details of it's contents are released.
