The first 27 episodes are bad remakes of the Battle of Gods and Revival F that likely only exist to allow the usage of Beerus, Whis and other elements from those movies without needing to credit Fox (In fact, Dragonball Fighter Z seems to be the first game making usage of that, since it included Freeza's Golden form in the trailer, but no credits for Fox, only Toei, Bird Studios and Shueisha).
That and not everyone in every market has seen the new movies. Super's "real story" takes place after the movies, which can be jarring for kids that have never seen the movies.

Am I the only one who feels like Goku has gotten worse? He was never bright, but he's more dumb then he's ever been. I can't stand it. It's almost as if they watched DBZ Abridged & applied that into Super.
Cracks the planet in her highest level super.
And she has this.
I think Future Mai would be better for that.

Yeah the black arc was pretty painful in that regard. I feel like they wanted him to look as bad as possible to highlight trunks and vegeta more in that arc.

Well, yes and no. Depends what you want out of a show. I want to see characters I like doing cool things cause nostalgia. Super, after 67 episodes, is giving me that.
You can skip 28 of those first episodes with 2 movies.

By the time Super ends the first 27 episodes will be a tiny part of the series.
The show started with almost no preproduction, so it's been an up hill battle for the production to correct that along the way.

I've always divided series like Dragon Ball into its story arcs, the early arcs are rough but they get progressively better and the current one is really good so far.

We haven't seen Jiren fight yet but Hit would definitely be welcoming in the playstyle department.

In a vacuum, the Battle of Gods arc is fine (just bad compared to the movie) and actually has quite a few genuinely great moments. The Resurrection F arc however is lazy but thankfully shorter. After that it gets to original story.
You will get Caulifa , and brolly, and there will be dialogue about him reminding him of her, and some joke about broccoli and Kale , and you will like it.
Then when Dragon Ball Fighter Z Xcross tournament of heaven comes out, with 10 new characters, then you might get Kale maybe. Or heck you wont get either of them in this game, then Arcsys releases the update, then you get one.
A couple of people on GAF don't care to watch Super and think it's lame, so we obviously won't see it to appease them. Instead we're going to get bulky Trunks that makes him look stupid and will be bad to use in-game.

I wonder what Goku's character art is based on, first thing that came to mind for me is his Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans character design sheet.
Anyone else have any ideas?
I want to see the USSJ form in some capacity, maybe as just an attack? Got no clue what Trunks they'll use, but I can't wait to see! I would not mind the seeing SSR or the Spirit Sword one bit either. I enjoyed the Black Saga a lot

Yeah, nrs does a good job when they can have things be cinematic, actual moment to moment gameplay wise they are very iffy Though to be fair, Injustice 2 is by far their best effort yet and a HUGE step up on the presentation side of everything

I've watched all of Super and really the only segment I think is worth watching again (unless you have major nostalgia) is the beginning of the Future Trunks arc up until about episode 63.
Almost the same list I thought of but 22 Broly, 23 Vegito, 24, Dabura.
What about... President Trunks.
"boo woo i don't want the version of the character that has interesting moves and actually has unique sword abilities because he has blue hair that i'll get to see 2 seconds in the intro, despite the fact that they have different colors for the characters including one that would most likely change it".

That dude is too popular, can't see him not in the game. I like Broly myself. I enjoy muscle-bound freaks with weird proportions I guess lol. Same reason I like Baki.
Broly was pretty fun to play in Budokai 3 too! His fighting style is unique as well.
I'm gonna have a hard time not calling it Dragon Ball Fighter Z. I think I prefer that name lol.
