Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.

Prime still give you 20%, just disabled during e3 sales since it gives you the same amount of discount. I just preordered everything with E3 sales and hope for maybe amazon fuck up and give you another prime 20% off when they ship...

That's what I've done as well. I highly doubt that anything would happen, but I would kick myself if I didn't and Amazon glitches out haha.

Anywhere I can get BotW cheaper than MSRP? Never had the chance to get the 20% discount on it.

Try to find it at Shoppers on a 20x day to earn like $20-$40 worth of points back on your purchase. For a lot of these games I really don't quite feel like pre-ordering at 20% off, I'm honestly thinking I'd rather take my chances in finding them at Shoppers later on anyway.

Shoppers is a huge YMMV on game availability. The worst thing is they dont put games on display except bargain bin shovelware and you have to ask employees who most of the time don't have a clue about games. I doubt they even check properly when you ask them.

I won't even shop there for games because of that. I see a stack of PS4 games behind the counter, but as a company that is not a good practice.

Hey you want to put that behind a locked glass cabinet like Wal-Mart? Cool. But when you have to ask the one cashier working, and then you have to wait just to see what they have in stock and what the prices are? Fuck that.

I've been subscribing to this philosophy for a number of years now and have no regrets about it.

Is it best to pre-order Kirby/Yoshi/Metroid Prime 4 now?

I have Prime but do we really think games are going above $99.99 or that Prime is no longer getting 20%.

Really debating on Madden. But Walmart cancellation policies have me worried a bit. I get I can return it but its the hassle of returning it vs cancelling it the week before.
I'm vehemently refusing to pre-order any of the $99 Canadian titles on Amazon out of principle.
I don't even want to entertain the delusion to NoC that said price point is acceptable.
Even missing out on potential one-off price fluctuations isn't worth sending that message.

Have an order on Amazon.com for Pokkén Tournament DX for $49 US. Had a $10 credit on there to use up from an earlier price error they refused to honor.

Rocket League Switch on Amazon has been lowered to BestBuy's pricing, $59.99.

On the other hand, BestBuy has raised the price of Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga to $59.99, $10 more than this afternoon.

Retailers are going crazy this E3...

Best Buy will have their bones ground into mustard and left in the sun with no geese to consume them!

Well they got their lunch ate in general this e3 since they didn't match any of the $50 games from Walmart and STILL don't have a bunch of games listed. The only thing I've ordered so far from them is a backup of Pokemon.

So how late was it that ARMS shipped? Because I have one of those "arriving Friday" orders that I still haven't even been charged for yet.

Best Buy dropped the ball. I wasn't able to stack anything (just my luck) but have added items to the cart a few dozen times, but never actually checked out. Meh.

It's so weird to me that traditionally Best Buy has been way better about adding games during E3 than Amazon, and that they specifically mentioned in their FAQ that they would add games throughout the week, but somehow ended up being almost as bad as Walmart when it came to adding games. There's a thread on the BB forums specifically for game requests, and the three Atlas 3DS games mentioned in the OP STILL aren't listed.

I went with Best Buy with a couple of things, they let me preorder Beyond Good and Evil 2 (though we probably won't see that title until 2023) and Monster Hunter Stories.

Also the steelbooks for FFXII and Yakuza Kiwami (Amazon was sold out of FFXII).

I wish someone would let me preorder Yakuza 6 for cheap, though.

Yeah, that was an wonderful surprise for me. I added it to my cart, and decided to wait for Radiant Historia, Strange Journey Redux, and Etrina Odyssey 5. Took an hour nap only to find that the price increased. I'll still order but damn son, retailer confidence MUST BE shakey in the CAD.

Shoppers locks/hides their games because of theft.

Then put them behind glass under lock and key. Any Shoppers I visited have them behind the cash counter essentially hidden where if you didn't know they carry them, you would have no clue. I don't want to have to ask just to see what they have in stock, let alone what the prices are. That is not consumer friendly.

It's weird, though. Some Shoppers, you'd have zero idea they sold video games at all because everything's in a locked opaque drawer behind the cash. I can't imagine they sell any video games that way; the only reason I knew that one near me still sold them was because another store directed me to that location.

Is that the final price or what? RL is only $20 USD, as confirmed by developers.

Probably just a placeholder place. I feel like Nintendo Canada gave retailers either no price point at all, or a bunch of placeholder prices. Hopefully we will get some official pricing news once E3 wraps up...

Hopefully there's a fuck up at amazon and the Prime/E3 discounts stacks. That would be amazing.

Also $59.99 for Pokemon is absurd.

Sun/Moon was the same price but got lowered to MSRP. They'll drop down, just like Pokken, Kirby and Metroid Prime 4 will drop to $80.

Mario Odyssey on Walmart is still out of stock, but is now up to $79.96. If at this point, you don't have a $50 copy, I think you're SOL.

Me too. Not a great feeling.

edit: I see that other people noticed this, my bad.
