It's not really the same thing since Black and Future Zamasu don't have the same cells and shouldn't bond on a cellular level and how can Merged Zamasu suddenly make clones of himself when he clearly didn't have the ability before. He resist the defusing, yet that someone equals Black and Future Zamasu suddenly becoming Merged Zamasu and can multiple by their body parts being blow off, come on now. Not to mention them defusing in the first place is a giant plot hole that Toyo still haven't filled.

As for Zamasu Essence, it works in the sense that only Merged Zamasu' body would be half-immortal, not his spirit. Him rewriting the laws of the universe is farfetched, but the explanation is pure word salad that I am sure Toyo made up one weekend.

The explanation was that they're both "Zamasu" in soul, and two bodies of the same soul being fused together makes them bond in a way that two completely different people wouldn't.

The clones are what is the equivalent to anime's "Zamasu essence". It's the manga's depiction of "half immortal body" doing weird things. It's not explained in either version.

Like Going into the ROSAT for the sole purpose of knocking out Goku in the tournament.

fuck it who needs goku anyway, dude's the cause of this mess

If Gohan is actually smart he should've already accounted for the fact there's no way in hell Frieza is going to be a team player.

Gohan's not smart. He prob has one of those honorary doctorates and claims he's a scientist like Terrence Howard.

lol

Imagine after all of this build up to the tournament and gathering fighters, the weaker people just get blitzed off the stage in the first 10 seconds.

Gowasu specifically said that since they're the same person they bonded on the cellular level, doesn't neither of them having the same cells. If it was about souls, Toyo should have said that and nothing about them cells coming together.

The clones are the equivalent, but it makes not sense why Black and Future Zamasu became Merged Zamasu and why their pieces turned into Merged Zamasu. The manga never even bother to explain that.

In the anime, Gowasu said that Merged Zamasu fused with the universe after losing his body, so it was explained unlike the Walking Dead manga that gave us nothing.

But that's obviously what he means though. Why would you assume he means bodies when they're in different bodies? They mean soul. He said "they're both Zamasu"

The second part of your post is part of the clone aspect, which is part of the half immortal body thing.

I just imagine they're going to take some notes from One Piece. Theres going to be some jobbers getting blown up, but you'll get to see at least one serious 1 on 1 [or 2 on 2, or 2 on 1 ect] for each of the main cast.
God this build up, we better at least get that.

It really isn't since why would having the same soul caused them to bond on a cellular level, especially with Black. And I assumed it means bodies since Black's body literally turned into Merged Zamasu. And if was all souls, then the cellular level comment wasn't needed at all.

Why? Why can he suddenly do it when he couldn't before? And why did Black turned into Merged Zamasu?

Because that's the arbitrary rules of the DB universe? It's not like DB isn't full of arbitrary rules like these.

What do you mean by those questions? This is the first time he's been in the circumstances to use it. That chapter is the first time Merged Zamasu has been split apart.

Doesn't look like Frieda...

What rules?

Merged Zamasu has had body parts blown off several times or are we forgetting that Vegito cut off Merged Zamasu's hands?

With Super in Japan having no foreseeable break or time off, the English dub will never be caught up, and there's no way Toonami would be willing to skip those episodes especially when they didn't skip past the movie arcs. Your best bet is to hope once Kai ends they do a double slot of Super until caught up, simply to avoid another One Piece situation.

I'm amazed Nozawa can voice 2 characters (and occasionally a third) in her mid-late 80s on a weekly basis. Incredible.

Like "when I use SSB in this body the ki is pink and not Blue", which I don't know if the anime explained at all but the manga went into it. Or "fusion only being permanent for kai's". It's chuck full of this stuff. Zenkai boosts in general. As long as they give an explanation that's not contradictory to something then I'm ok for the most part. It's what I've been going through all throughout the series.

True, but he hasn't been split down the middle or put in a situation where his half immortal body is forced to react for the sake of surving (keeping up its half-immortalness) until this chapter.

The anime heavily suggested that Black chose the color. The fusion being permanent for the Supreme Kais does make sense since the earrings are from the Supreme Kais and they wouldn't want their ultimate weapon to be used against them. I will give you the Saiyans' near death boost, but I am not sure what that have to do with Future Zamasu and Black bonded on a cellular level when they don't have the same cells with the whole 'they're Zamasu' thing.

But Merged Zamasu in the manga was never called half immortal, which is how Black survived getting stabbed. By this logic, only Future Zamasu should have become Merged Zamasu, not Black.

I'm just saying that DB isn't a stranger to these arbitrary rules, and the "2 bodies of the same souls fusing acting different than 2 completely different beings fusing" just comes off to me as another one of them. You're getting caught up with them having different bodies when that's not even relevant to the explanation they gave. The relevant part is that they're "both Zamasu". They never said their separate bodies had the same cells from the start, just that the cells bonded during their fusion.

But he is half immortal in the sense that It's an immortal body fused with an mortal body. Black's body did what it did because his cells were already linked at that point due to the fusion, as Gowasu said.

I hope this happens, in a funny way.
Roshi, Tien, Kuririn, out in one shot and they become cheerleaders with Bulma and Chi Chi. At least the will have some value as comedy relief chars.... they have nothing to do in the tourney.

I suppose Jiren is the ningen stronger than GoDs?
Or maybe there's a surprise!!!

Because Zamasu having Goku's body is a big plot point. It isn't something that you can just ignore. And the explanation Toyo gave talked about the cellular level, so Toyo brought this on himself.

That's in the anime. That was never an issue in the manga and was never brought up at any point. And how would Black's cell linking make him into Merged Zamasu? The same with Future Zamasu? Did they pull a Perfect Cell?

What does KUROOZUDO mean? It's in that Trunks announcement for DBF. It reads "KUROOZUDO Beta test", unless I'm reading it all wrong.
Edit: It means "closed", didn't occur to me fast enough lol. So basically just reconfirming the closed beta test coming soon.

Is fusions allowed in the tournament of power? If it is allowed do you think Goku and Vegeta will do a fusion?

Don't know if potara would be allowed, but dance fusion is a technique so they should be able to use that no problem.
What race taught fusion to Goku by the way? The Yardrat taught him IT....
