So far I can do level 2 (Adv) of the raid. Lv. 76 Sakura is putting in some work. Level 3 (Pro) is beyond me though. Enjoying JP. It's nice to be more relaxed about BE. Don't plan to TM farm here so there's no pressure to use my NRG.

Also pro tip for guys who can't read Japanese. If you're playing on an emulator on your PC you can use Google Translate on your phone to take pictures and translate the words for you. It's really quick and helpful when trying to navigate stuff or work out what the challenges are for missions or an event (like the raid) that hasn't been uploaded online yet.

For anyone else playing JP my code is 842 210 311. I've added an tab to the ExviusGAF Playbook for JP friends list so add your codes in there as well guys.

I asked this earlier but does anyone have a link to a list of JP equipment? The reddit one is outdated and I want to see what I should be aiming for.

Well I TM farm every night even during mog king weeks, but I guess serious TM farming would have been just before mog king. I have multiple devices so I can play FE on a different device when BE is busy farming, and the raid I just had to do every 5 hours.

I'm getting reasonably close to "the end" in regards to important TMs for my "main team". After that it will be optional extras and things for role players, so I may take it easy on farming after that.

I checked this morning before work and saw they gave us the slot increases! :D :D :D That alone makes this an amazing update. Reading the thread, the added descriptions for equipment is awesome, the Repeat change is amazing (especially for slog fest Arena!) and that's cool that they added the training dummy so GAF's mad scientists can crunch numbers for the rest of us. I rarely craft but the change is nice and maybe I'll one day bother with the trophies now that they've made crafting reasonable. So glad they extended the Titan coin summon, now I can actually use them and accept at least some of the rewards sitting in my mail although I still want to get WoL 6* before acting all of them to get rid of all the pots and cactuars I'm saving for him. Don't need to still be full on slots, just at a higher number haha

So what the heck is this expedition exactly? You send scrub units on some journey that you don't control and they bring you back rewards if they are successful after a set amount of time? Does it cost NRG? Seems kind of weird but not complaining about the means to get free items if it doesn't cost NRG.


As for TM farming, never quitting that unless I run out of stuff to farm. I guess if you're asking that question you can bring your phone with you to work. Nox is a godsend for me because I can not only TM farm while sleeping, but while at work too as I can't have my phone with me. You can say it plays the game 90% of the time for me ;p I just turn it off when I get home from work to do dailies and new events or story missions. I'll do those or farming Mog King events and or Raids until bed and then it's back to TM farming while I sleep. TM farming 90% of the time, all the time ;p I'm just not as efficient with it as most of you guys because I'm not willing to spend lapis on TM farming so it doesn't go as often and I actually have it so it waits a little longer than necessary to recharge a NRG so that it can recharge slowly over time so that I have enough NRG to do a farm event when I get home. Still, even slow, doing it through out the work day and while sleeping really adds up if it doesn't error out. This reminds me, Garnet is nearly finished, I'd better figure out who I'm tossing in next.

No NRG cost. You can have four expeditions ongoing at any given time, and they take anywhere from 3 hours to 24. It's kind of like how crafting used to be, except more interesting and the cost is typically gil + a few cheap items (if you want to guarantee success).

Your summary is pretty much right.

I farm for TMRs every time we have to do Story Missions for the daily. Only 3 times and only then. Anything more than that drives me insane.

I don't think you can guarantee success after C rank, even with my picture posted up above, if I had 5 6* Kefka's and the item (which gave 20%). I'd hit 90% max for the B rank. I have a feeling it'll adjust and be like 80% A rank, and 70% S rank to make you sweat when trying to get these rewards. Now the question is, do you get any sort of pity consolation prize for failing?

For those who just started JPN, what's your current team look like? I went for a balanced team. Ish.

Wilhelm, Tidus, Half Naked Fina, Agrias, Onion Knight

I almost used Galka guy instead of Agrias, but I know Agrias is better at higher end and she has break, which will be important. Will probably level Galka guy though.

Huh, that's an interesting little addition. Depending on what the cost is could be cool although I hope gil is cheap and you get worthwhile items from it because now that Enhancements are hear, need to hoard gil haha

Speaking of Nox, does anyone else have to uninstall FFBE every time the app is updated? It never works properly for me when I just try to update the app. Maybe it's an Amazon Underground thing?

JP Daily: Zidane. Nice. He has some good breaks at 6* so a welcome addition. He will be my pseudo-Noctis lol.

Speaking of which, man JP Noctis is like a completely different unit to GL Noctis, it's so weird. I saw a post about this on Reddit last week in which the author said that we need to stop expecting GL Noctis to be buffed up to JP Noctis as they're basically different units. So many things were changed and not all were nerfs (like the hybrid skills being 100% stronger in GL).

They made Aranea worse than Reberta and she is like 10 months away from us, I really don't understand the point of these two. Prompto doesn't even justify the 5* label. They will probably be buffed for us like every single one of these whack 5* we've been getting, but what exactly is the big plan here releasing these mediocre characters for the japanese players?

Oh, that's interesting (I haven't seen anything above C rank yet).

It kind of makes sense you get a risk/reward tradeoff, and it seems to become harder to get max possible success rate with B so you need a backup "top team" or two around, equipped well for the B/A/S ranks to hit that 90/80/70.

Haha. Ended up with a decent enough team. :) Used my lapis for daily and tickets. Ended up getting one of the rainbows through my tickets. Got Wilhelm first. Was lackluster. Then Tidus showed up and was hopeful. Then ticket Rainbow was hoping it'd be CG Fina ended up being OK. He sold me on it.

Nice! I didn't get a Zidane... so we'll see. Will pull daily later. Curious about CG Fina and CG Sakura. Best I got was the naked Fina. :( But I guess it's better than Lenna. She was so hopeful she had a spot on my team. Then half naked Fina showed up and benched her.

Edit: Didn't do any ex pulls. Doing this the long, slow way. I'm going to take my time and just mosey on through. This is my relaxing account. I don't really TM farm or focus heavily on my alt either, so it's going to stick that way here. But when I get Moogles I'll use them. Thinking for TMs Tidus first, then Agrias. (So Tidus or OK or someone can use it.)

If you look at the relics per expedition, and note 90/80/70% max success rate for some of these, weekly goal looks like it might require a bit of attention. The sweet spot seems to be 3hr "B" missions.

Yeah I'm feeling that way about Sakura. I really like her kit and may consider going for her when she comes to GL. She only has a mix of offensive mag skills and support skills, but she can dual cast almost all of them. It's awesome because it allows you to use a setup move and an offensive move in the same turn which allows you to keep up momentum.

I'm still leveling Fina atm so she hasn't really done too much. I just got my first healing move lol.

Hmm damn, just sent off three 8hr and one 24 hour Expeditions :p.

Okay so, you would refresh if you don't like the Expeditions listed and want to try your luck at different ones? Could you get a higher rank expedition if you refreshed?

Question: is 2 Tilith in a team too much?

Should I run Tilith with Yshtola or Refia? Or 2 Tiliths are better?

And is it better to equipo a Gilgamesh or a Firion?

I actually don't get something about that. I'm sure it might be a little complex to represent in the menus, but I don't get why equipment isn't tied to the team rather than the individual on the back end. If its use were tied to the team rather than the individual then I could for instance have Blade Mastery on Orlandeau in team 1 then perhaps Lightning in team 2. Of course it would mean having to handle equipment on the same characters should they slot into another team but it seems like a much better alternative to carrying it over by the character.

It could be so much less hassle than it is right now. The Espers already work that way so no idea why gear doesn't too.

They just have to implement loadout, but it's too convenient I guess lol

The JP raid is giving away an Omni Rod at a very obtainable amount of points. Considering my main DPS is CG Sakura this is super nice for me.

I refreshed and a couple Ds changed to Cs, so yes. I think you get one free refresh per day.

Thanks for that, and seems I was right on the higher tiers with fail rates. Crazy how fast some of the info comes out...

Could of swore the images for expedition on video showed a ticket as a reward... maybe that comes later oooorr was deemed too powerful a prize...

There are achievements that do feature a 5% moogle and summon ticket.

Seems like the next raid will be Moogle King boss...this one will be a pain in the ass. Need to grind it hard for those Mog TMs tho (50% increased LB fill rate materia)

Expeditions seem like a lot of fiddling for mediocre rewards. I may skip them most days if none of them are offering Holy Crystals.

So I just treated myself and bought £39.99 lapis for some EX points to get started with. Went for one 11 pull and this was my result...

Expeditions are pretty good for a free ticket and 5% every week tbh. The individual rewards of each of them are not even the point.
