Basically this whole area: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBks8aZtbw4

There are some other ones that sort of screech and crawl out of the screen in a rather creepy way too, I don't think they are shown.

Edit: Fairly significant spider themed spoiler in there, so other people who are planning on playing the game maybe don't watch that.
is that the only area?

while it's pretty creepy (specially the sound makes me really uncomfortable), it's not THAT bad and it's a pretty short area i can ask a friend to go through for me if i feel too upset about it

like if it's an isolated area i can just get someone else to beat it for me

Really? I actually felt the game got better as it progressed. The first act (tbh, I'm not sure where we're drawing the lines for the acts) was the worst easily. The worst areas (large, open fields of nothing) and you had fewer characters, so the skits weren't as good.

I literally stopped playing and uninstalled the game when they had me
repeat a dungeon I'd just completed after the dragon fight.
The story got better as the game progressed, I didn't care for where the gameplay was headed.

Played Deus Ex Mankind Divided a little bit. Cinematic looked pretty disappointing. Adams face is all fucked up and graphically doesn't look that great either to me. He sometimes randomly starts moving in one direction and i got stuck in the elevator. Stopped there, will check out more later.
DS2 cinematic on the other hand was fucking amazing D:
Time to check out other games.
Night time in Prague is where the graphics in Mankind Divided truly shines, it looked phenomenal.

I guess what I'm most disappointed in is that I've seen quite a few games on my Wishlist cheaper on Steam before...not to mention other places. Pretty disappointing.

Is that the part where you
have to go back to the place where you fought Eleanor/Oscar? There's actually a shortcut there you can unlock. But I do agree that fights can get repetitive and I did avoid a lot of them.

Candle and Silence are in the Daedalic Artist Selection Bundle for only 15 EUR along with a bunch of other games I don't know.

Candle looks gorgeous:

And Silence is a huge step up from the Whispered World (you should see it in motion)

EDIT: Another game in the bundle also looks pretty decent:

Wow, that is a pretty good bundle. Guess I'll add it to my list of considerations. Speaking of which, how can you view all the bundles on steam? Just search "bundle?"

That's the part.
I unlocked the shortcut during my first run of the dungeon. This is also coming immediately after The Upside-down dungeon (can't remeber what it was called) and the 4-5 screens of stairs.
I felt like the game was actively wasting my time at that point.

I know it's hard to jump back into an RPG once you've dropped it, but I do recommend you go back and finish the story. It was a while ago, so I'm not sure, but after the part you stopped at, only the best part of the game awaits you. Just do your best to skip all field fights. It's pretty easy since you run faster than most things, and the ones that are faster just charge you in a straight line. The areas become more interesting, and the character progression for your party is fantastic (best part of the game, really). Oh, and the final dungeon (very mild spoiler)
is not as long as it seems, so don't sweat it.

Thanks!

Not really a Steam user, but Bioshock Collection at $15 and Portal bundle for $3 got me temped.

You need to give in to this temptation.

How difficult are the Metro (Redux) games? $8 CDN for both seems like a pretty sweet deal, but im not in the mood for any difficult or frustrating FPS games.

I've got at least 10 tabs open for games I'm tempted to pick up. I'm probably gonna wait a few days so I can more safely return anything that turns up in the Monthly bundle though :p

i think metro 2033 is pretty straightforward on normal difficulty, you should be ok on that

idk about metro 2

That's the most spidery area, but it's part of a larger area that's all kinda spidery.

Pretty cool 2D Beat'emUp. Ends just when it would get monotonous. Length is between 1-2 hours.

Sounds and looks good enough for $3 then—thanks.

Is there anything outside of the area in that video that has creepier spider stuff happen? They look relatively cute, except for the
body snatching
ones

Bought

Dishonored 2
Prey
Fallout 4 + Season Pases

Not quite half price but still.

Still on the fence about Total War: Warhammer and Watch Dogs 2.

Does anyone know why the Starstorm expansion for Awesomenauts got delisted? How do I get those DLC characters now (e.g. Ted McPain)?

Awesomenauts went F2P on May 24.

Ronimo Games offered new and existing players one last chance to pick up the game and its 2 DLC expansions (Starstorm and Overdrive) before the switch. Owning all of the content (base game + both expansions) before May 24th would make you the equivalent as someone buying the All Nauts Pack today, with existing and future characters unlocked to play forever.

Now, you'll have to save up/grind in-game currency for the characters you want, or spend the money on the All Nauts Pack.

Gamestop carries a physical release of the game and both expansions. Provided the codes are working, buying this would be your best (and cheapest) option.

edit: The Gamestop Collector's Edition Steelbook does include the expansions. Found developer confirmation on this via the Steam forums.

...there is an exception for the steelbook that's being sold at Gamestop! That will continue to give you access to the All Nauts Pack even beyond May 24th.

Other retail versions of the game will continue to give the three characters PIGSgrame mentioned, but along any other content included in the pack (skins, expansion characters, etc).

hmm i guess i gotta investigate further

it sure makes my skin crawl

To be fair, it's supposed to. That whole area creeped me the fuck out the whole time and I don't really have an issue with (video game) spiders. That section has creepier stuff than spiders :p

They're not especially hard on the regular / easy setting. Decent games, AMAZING graphical showcases. Definitely worth 8 bucks for even one of them - and a steal for both.

A good amount (no one really gets a lot except Velvet).
Her and Rokurou's main plot points conclude in this part of the game (Rokurou's is especially interesting), and you get to know more about her past (though you might've already figured it out as they subtly mentioned it earlier; I just never connected the 2 dots).

Does Dark Souls 3 play closer to Bloodborne or is it like the rest of the souls series?

It's closer aesthetically and in terms of speed (it's faster - well mostly the enemies , but some weapons). Still very much a Souls game though, you'll see a lot of fan favorite armors, weapons, and spells.

Witcher 3 GOTY is $25. Is it ever lower or should I bite?

Going to buying a whole new rig from the ground up next month, I've played 1 & 2 and have been waiting for graduation to upgrade and finally play the third game.

Anyone have a good way to view bundled deals (outside searching "bundle")? I noticed the link I was using earlier had a few missing bundles.

Everything about this is fantastic.

EB has a trade in deal to get these spinner things. Will girls like me if I get one?

Antiwhippy

Glory to Mankind.

It's good really, the more people who get to experience the best game this year, the better.

I would have expected the port backlash to hinder it more really.

Like, I finished the game no problem on PC, but the port definitely isn't the best and it hasn't really gotten the patches it needs.

But yeah, still great that more people will get to experience the game.

INSIDE, Abzu and Soma are all excellent, though very different from the other titles you seem to like there.
