Ah perhaps I will buy then. It has been on my wishlist for like 2 years.
Keep in mind that their Roadmap is not gospel. It's an estimate that gets pushed back if it turns out it's not feasible (I think at the beginning of the year release was dated May :p).
But it looks like they're really close already. I'm waiting for the full release as well before playing - have it from the Freedom Bundle at the beginning of this year.

They said that last update was the last big one, so I guess they could make it.

Sadly I somehow never got the VR mode to work. I can see the main menu and the really beautiful water, but it always gets stuck in the loading screen.

Actually I like how gifting works now is much more honest system.

Finished the first Episode of Telltale's - Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy

That was unfathomably bad. Not a single joke in those two hours actually hit.

It's like the exact opposite of Tales from The Borderlands

Anyone know if Steins;Gate and The House of Fata Morgana will drop in price in later sales this year? A lot of these Visual Novel games don't seem to get heavy discounts.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

For what it's worth, I thought the second episode was much improved in the humor department
(but still not on the Tales from the Borderlands level)

Welp I just bought Sonic 4 Episodes 1 and 2 for GBP 3 off of Gamesplanet UK (their discount on it ends in a few hours).
I know they're not that good but I want to give them proper judgement by playing through them.

Steins;Gate probably will (just a guess, don't hold me accountable if it doesn't, lol) since it got a steep sale on PSN. Fata Morgana will probably hold it's price for this year since it's newer and the "hot" VN that everyone's raving about.

MUnited83

For you.
Has anyone managed to use a DS4 with Killer Is Dead? I tried Inputmapper and DS4Windows but the game isn't recognizing it as a X360 controller with either one...

Most likely. Both have deeper discounts now than they did throughout last year's Autumn and Winter Sales.

Dang, that's a bummer. Kind of impressed that the first episode is two hours though; their stuff has been getting shorter and shorter.

It still blows my mind how well TFtB turned out. On paper it is a trainwreck, but the execution is flawless.

Havent they always been 2 hours per ep.?
Fyi king's quest 2015's first ep is like 3-4 hours long. Later eps are a little shorter if u know what to do in them but thr game has 100% more puzzles than tt's tecent output if that interests anyone :p

Played a bit of Killer Is Dead. Shouldn't be playing on Hard, I think I'm bad at it lol.
LOVE the music and the style though. Game's fucking obtuse as hell though.

Also bought The Silver Case. Welp

I've played Rocket League with M+KB just fine. It's true that the controller is better, but you won't feel that you're losing anything.

I played Rocket League with a mouse and keyboard and it was fine.

I would say you're likely to want a controller for Hollow Knight though, I tried to make it work with m+kb and couldn't do it.

Hmm, that's interesting. I was most worried I'd feel like I was at a disadvantage, especially considering Rocket League has crossplay with consoles. But if that's really not the case then I'm reconsidering buying it. I want another multiplayer game to play when I go through my semi-annual SMITE burnout.

Thanks for the heads up about Hollow Knight. I'll take it off my wishlist then, since as I said earlier I often dislike Metroidvania games anyway. This is why I check with GAF before buying games.

Fata just had its (40%, IIRC) anniversary sale a couple weeks ago. I wouldn't count on it being discounted any deeper later. Fata is worth it even at only 30% off. If it'll be anything like Higurashi, it won't get to 50% off or above anytime soon.

is the deluxe edition of Project Cars worth picking up or will the standard suffice?

So when the daily quests change you can't complete yesterdays quests anymore?

You can. The "Explore your discovery queue" quest resets each day, so if you've done so but it's still showing as incomplete, that'd be why (i.e. you need to complete it multiple times).

I want games like Firewatch. Anyone recommend some?

What Remains Of Edith Finch is a masterpiece of endearing, interactive storytelling

For what it's worth, I thought the second episode was much improved in the humor department
(but still not on the Tales from the Borderlands level)

If you say that i might give the second epiode a try sometime this week, but so far i'm really not pressed to continue.

FUCKKK. I accidentally bought Dark Souls III on GamesGate... I was browsing on their UK site to compare £ prices with €, and I went to checkout. You see, usually PayPal will display the converted price to € before finalizing your purchase, but this time it went straight to confirming it... WHY AND WHEN DID THEY CHANGE THIS???

Anyone know why this happened? Because I usually get a confirmation of PayPal's converted price, which I didn't get now.

I'm not particularly troubled by it now, since DS3 has been on my wishlist for a while now and the price was good, but I'd really rather not have this happen to me with most other games.

Yeah, Life is Strange is much longer too. It's only TellTale stuff that keeps getting leaner.

TellTale's longest cinematic adventure is TWD: Season 1, at maybe 12-14 hours (from howlongtobeat). Every TWD game since then has been a few hours shorter. Their other stuff varies, but it's generally in line with the most recent TWD. It's disappointing, because LiS reminded me how effective those few extra hours of immersion are in selling a story.

Ahh, The Last Remnant. It's worth $5, but just be aware that it's a risk. I made a LTTP thread about it a month ago:

2 x Stardew
2 x Double Dragon Neon
2 x Double Dragon Trilogy
1 x Left 4 Dead 2
1 x Dark Corners of the Earth
1 x Outlast & DLC

Probably buy a few more. Really want something that'd push my PC. But GTA5 is expensive and I already own it on consoles. Already have Doom, Witcher 3, and FO4 too. Hurry up with Monster Hunter World, Capcom.

Want to pick up the Hotline games too. Was thinking Far Cry 3 or 4, but both have been cheaper. Maybe Tomb Raider for $5, but figure i'll just make me want to play Uncharted instead.

I find that they compliment each other nicely. Uncharted has more interesting stories to tell but I'm more fond of Tomb Raider's moment-to-moment gameplay, which doesn't lean towards platforming as strongly as Uncharted.

Hey guys,

Can you recommend me nice co-op games to play with my wife on the couch?

Thanks!

My highest recommendation is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Just a great game.

Any of the LEGO games based off movies.
SpeedRunners
BattleBlock Theater
Octodad for hilarity. Don't play it in co-op expecting to beat it, just to be silly and have fun trying.
Shovel Knight Treasure Trove for side scroller action.
Rocket League (I think, not positive on that).
N++ if really good at platformers.
Rayman Legends, Rayman Origins.
Broforce for run and gun.
Double Dragon Neon or Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara or Castle Crashers for beat-em-up
Serious Sams for shooters
Guacamelee for open world side scroller (like Metroid).
Spelunky if you are up for a challenge of skill.
ibb and obb for puzzle platforming.
Trine for another puzzle platformer.
Metal Slug games for run and guns.
PAC-MAN 256

Metro: Last Light Redux is 5$. Last Light is on my backlog list and I own the original. Is redux worth buying? What are the differences?

I was just about to buy the Mega Man Legacy collection for 50% off. Then i get an update that the price has changed back to full price. The summer sale isn't over yet so why did it change?

There are some level tweaks (mainly combining levels so there are less loading screens) and some slight gameplay tweaks and graphic tweaks. Overall the changes were pretty minor (much less than going from 2033 to 2033 Redux). The Redux versions are still the better versions of the games, I think.

If you haven't played 2033, they're both worth a play. Last Light was great, and 2033 was really good, too. I highly recommend them both, especially for around $5 per title, or $7.50 for the bundle.

Thanks! I just finished 2033 Redux. On to the next one!
