Go grey early or go bald late

Two Words

Why? How would they be strange? We're in an age where a metric shitton of people sye and cut their hair in such extreme and wild ways. Only the insecure will have issues, the rest will go about their day. Life isn't People at Walmart.

People can look strange and it still be perfectly fine to be that way.

I'm 41 and have a little of both going on. Honestly less grey than I expected by this point.

I'd go for full grey in a heartbeat. Geralt cosplay FTW.

I'd rather go grey early than lose my hair (which like 85 percent of guys do to a significant degree IIRC), easily.

Balding at 50 is completely expected. Full head of hair until then is blessing, as most of your peers will have lost or started losing it. All gray (not some) at 30 is crazy rare. You're not a silver fox at that age, you're the kid from that Crash Test Dummies song. I'll pass on that.

This is a good point. Not everyone can make bald look good, and there's a startling large amount of fear about it, but not everybody makes grey look good either- especially that young. Looking full gray at 30 is not going to be the epitome of sex appeal that people think it will be. You'll just look old. At least with bald you can pass for younger.

I was going to say gray, but having my hair till 50 would be preferable and who gives a shit about bald after so thats my answer.

Agreed. Perfect hair until I'm 50, natural color or any color I want with dye, the side effect being I become bald at 60.

Grey earlier. Easy. Even it was full grey tomorrow at 32. I would be fine with having grey hair/beard.

Where as with balding I dread it. No great options for me, as I'm not exactly the kind of white guy who could rock a bald head like Stone Cold.

Speaking as someone who is 30 and balding, grey all day.

Jesus, you guys with hair have no idea how much women judge you just based on your hair alone.

Going bald fucking sucks. I miss my thick ass head of hair. I want it back. Although being bald with a grey beard, I think I'm going to look like a crazy ass mofo in my 40s.

Uh both of those choices are improvements over what I got
Yep. I was prepared to let Agent Orange answer this for me ("Everything Turns Grey") but then I saw that the ages weren't the same for both scenarios.
My hairline started receding in my late teens. I'm 30 now and have just enough hair left that it is an annoyance that it is there at all; at this point I'd rather it not grow back at all. So going grey at 20 while still having a ton of hair or having a full head of hair until 50 both sound great to me.

I'm extremely bummed that I won't get any grey hairs (never found any in my beard, just very blond ones that tricked me) or be able to have a pompadour or long heavy metal hair that I can windmill around.
Hell, give me greying at 20, full-grey at 30, balding at 50, and fully bald at 60 and I would be pleased.

As someone that started losing his hair at 18 and was properly full bald by his 30s this one is a no brainer.

Going bald at 50 would be an improvement.

No women is going to reject the 55-year-old version of you based on your lack of hair. They'll reject you for the million other reasons that make you gross....these same women aren't going to date a 30-year-old who is COMPLETELY gray, by the way.

Kind of feel like I'm taking crazy pills here, but I'm not sure you guys are reading the conditions of the hypothetical - choose late baldness, and you'll get through your prime years looking perfectly normal, and ahead of the game in your 40's where more than half of all the other dudes are already losing it. As a 37 year old whose hair is in shambles, this would be a blessing.

I can't say I've ever met someone with a full head of gray hair at 30, but I think most of you are thinking salt and pepper, or if not, you'll suddenly be a young Geralt of Rivia.

my dad had fully gray hair when he was 40 but he still has most of his hair

i'm in my late 20s and i'm getting gray hairs...i've started to accept that i'll have a lot of gray hair pretty soon. i wouldn't trade it for being bald, no

I wish I'm bald. I shaved my head every week. Look way better without hair.

Both looks great actually but of course depends on the people's other facial structure.

There are a lot of variables but ultimately I'd go with grey since it's reflective of what's happened to me. Having said that; grey does not always look good. Some guys end up with grey spots in various parts of their hair and it isn't the grey fox look. It's more akin to a grey leopard.
