All the tweaks and changes are just odd to me.
Essence boost is definitely needed as new players are starved for it.
However older players likely have all the essence they'll need for awhile.
Gold is in abundance, but has little use. Yeah you can buy new characters but you don't need to have all of them (and that necessity becomes less as more are introduced). And of course, anyone who buys the game doesn't even have that as a option for a Gold dump.
There aren't enough skins and they aren't distributed well, some characters having only 3 or 4 skins, most just palette swaps. Some have a couple that can be bought with gold, some only able to be bought with Crystals.
And every time they adjust for one of these issues, they exacerbate others. They really, really, need to boost chest drops. There are too few ways to get them without paying cash. Really, they shouldn't boost the cosmetics in Radiant Chests until they have more cosmetics to choose from. Instead, they should give Radiant Chests more often at level ups and add small amounts of Crystals to the chest loot pool. Keep cosmetic only/themed chests only purchasable with Crystals. Focus on more skins, voice packs, and sprays to make that pool bigger, THEN you can adjust the skin drop rate on Radiant Chests (common skins a lot more likely than the rare ones).
This way everyone can earn just by playing while there's still plenty of reason for people who want to buy, to buy.
