I'd take Cammy over Rashid, or even Juri.

I really want C. Viper back although that won't happen. She's one of the BEST character designs in MvC's history, even surpassing her SFIV original incarnation. It had nothing to do with Xfactor either.

Cammy would be a more barebones version of X-23. HELL NO Rashid should be the next SF rep.

Having customization without a way to not see others is fucked up. It was a big issue in SFxT, and it's a massive issue in Tekken.

And don't give me that "I paid money so it's my right to use it as I please" shit. You have the right to be nude in your home, but you don't have the right to force me to see you nude if you invite me over. It's the same shit.

I still would like to know what exactly was so wrong with Ock that he couldn't be in MVC3. If the team actually had official artwork and a theme for him, then it implies he was pretty far along and probably nearly finished. I wonder if he just messed up the system or something.

Unless there's some context in-game, Spidey's level 3 will always bug me. Why is Green Goblin attacking him right when he's doing a super move every time ?

Yeah, I know it doesn't have to make sense but it's still kind of odd.

Has there ever been a super move where the character doing the attacking ends up getting attacked his/herself?

you are WAY overthinking a silly special move in a fighting game

The same reason Nadeshiko is always ready for Mika's calls and then fades into nothing after the fight.

Kakuto gamu.

Kakuto gamu.

It's kind of a different thing, though. Even within the world of a fighting game it's somewhat out of the norm in terms of concept than assists or summoning random objects.

It's silly, but it's an interesting take on a super for that reason.

I mean, most of the new level 3's seem weird since they are out of place references (Spencer and Spider-man, especially)

Then again, Wesker's Level 3 was also out of place and weird when you think about it

It's kinda like how incredibly dumb it would be for Batman to have to call in a Batmobile/Batwing everytime he fights somebody in IJ.

Fighting games like to give up practicality for coolness, which is fine.

Maybe I shouldn't have implied it would seriously bother me to any significant extent. (I had at least two puns in my posts). Of course moves will be non-sensical in that everything doesn't have to make sense logistically, but even in fighting games (or any "world") there's still some overaching conceits.

Typically in fighting games, a cinematic super has the charcater or some form of ally helping to attack the enemy, so this one is conceptually different. I'm sure that was part if why they wanted to do it (that and force a spider-sense reference in there without having to give him a related move).

When DBZF does random, out of place references to DBZ media everyone goes crazy.

When MvCi does random, out of place references to Marvel and Capcom media, it "doesn't make sense".

*shrug* What can ya do.

People love references in Marvel.

Green Goblin throwing bombs at Spider-man out no nowhere, but not actually appearing in any way and disappearing right after, is confusing and weird.

In 3, If its a cinematic level 3 it doesn't connect.
It depends on the level 3. Some of them do a small bit of damage. She-Hulk's still hits them with the car.

Thanks went ahead and preordered. Cannot bypass that price tag for a superhero game. Was also able to apply a 5% discount since my first purchase on the site
I might as well do it too. The Deluxe Edition will never go on sale it seems, and even if it does I can cancel.

Just note that I don't think this preorder includes the DLC costumes.

Sorry to set off anyone's Capcom-bashing senses. Just having some fun.

It's a different idea for a super so it's interesting to discuss the design concept behind it. I'm sure they bounce concept ideas off each other when making the game and talk about this stuff.

How about a super for a game where the character immediately starts to run away, but knocks over a bunch of stuff that falls and damages the enemy by accident? Maybe if Scooby Doo was were a guest charcater in a game.

At what point in DBFZ did a character get attacked from off-screen by another character, only for the other to not appear at all?

All DBFZ's "random, out of place references" are just attacks the characters do. Trunks cuts through an enemy and they explode behind him! Gohan does a kamehameha without doing the motion!

I mean, both are fine, I actually really like Spider-Man's hyper, but the heck are you on about.

What's your agenda?

Did you get the code right away or do you have to wait until release with this site?

The Spider-Man reveal, even though it was inevitable, has got me hype all over again for this shit.

Now I'm at the point where it's bring on T'Challa DLC so I can bust ass while playing the song from the BP trailer aka RTJ's Legend Has It. If it's making me listen to RTJ more than occasionally...mission accomplished. DNA. is another bus-ass soundtrack.

Also re: Pumpkin Bombs...who cares it's Spider-Man/video games/magic. They could put in a model or even a tennis ball launcher but I think the kitschiness works well enough as is. What's your agenda?

Yes my agenda is to defend anything Spider-Man (except the Amazing movies *spit*). Is this what DahBomb was like when Vergil was revealed? I kind of stopped following along during the UMvC3 leak since I had already got to try Hawkeye at EVO 2K11

I can't say I disagree with him lol. I hope when they reveal Venom and he does his level 3, the scene cuts to Jameson in his office spilling coffee on his pants.

Nah, he should run over the opponent with a giant truck while mashing on the horn

or this

Spidey's Level 3 is one of the all time best IMO. Up there with Vergil, Phoenix Wright, Magneto, Cap's old one, Hawkeye's and Ghost Rider's.

Would be nice to cut to Green Goblin but he's not necessary the way the scene plays out.

Shame that most of the rest of the new Level 3s are pretty lame.

oh I personally haven't been keeping up with that stuff but good to keep people aware. I'm just happy getting the base game for a pretty good price.

Yah, I almost was shocked Spidey didn't throw Haggar into the air and shoot him with a beam.

Imo Spidey's super should have him dodge random projectiles from his entire rogue's gallery instead of just Goblin.

Like sometimes it's symbiote goop, sometimes it's electric bombs, sometimes it's just straight up other webs, etc.
