Last time asking this in this thread.
If you want to win 50$, find me this game! Once I recive my Financial aid next month I'll give your prize. A mod can make sure I pay you if you find it.
I could be mixing two or more game, in which case the money wil be split.
Here is what I remember:
-PS1 game
-Japanese
-RPG
-Team of three
-an enemy that is a fat guy sitting in a couch watching TV, attacks by farting, a couch potato
-A boss where you must protect a sandwich or a cake from flys ( no not Mario Paint )
I think I've found the game, it's
Chou Majin Eiyuuden Wataru: Another Step.
Here's the intro with the dude hitting his head on a branch. Can't find any gameplay footage though. It's apparently based on an anime series of the same name.
Some tl;dr on how I finally found it:
So I've searched for this game on and off since I think the first time you posted it, but with no luck. So I decided to download the
PSX Master List by DaddaRuleKonge, an amazing and massive list of every PS1 game ever released, but the nice thing about it is that it's divided into PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J lists, and every entry in the list is classified by genre (the most important thing really) along with descriptions and screenshot thumbnails, all assembled into 4 massive PDFs.
So I just brute forced it, made a list of every single game with RPG elements and then looked them up, one by one, on Google images, YouTube and the
NTSC-J PlayStation DataCenter list, the last one luckily having comprehensive info and screenshots on the game. Also luckily, the game's name starts with the letter C, so I didn't have to go through too many games.
Anyway, I got kinda lucky running into it relatively quickly, so I'm just glad this one's been found since there are still a bunch of seemingly really tough to find games in this thread. I know it sometimes might seem that people ignore some questions, but a forum format is kinda not the optimal way to do this, some requests get buried quickly with new posts, don't have enough info or are just very obscure and hard to find. So it's a great feeling when you find a game you haven't seen in a decade or two (it certainly took me like 15 years to find certain games I barely remembered from childhood) and an even better one when you can help out someone in doing that, that's why I love this thread, as I'm sure everyone who searches for the games and the people that help out do too.
