A company being excited for their new game is a huge slap in the face to all the fans that liked their old games.
That's a screenshot alright.

Good colours.

That's not from the panel but a interview with writer I'll just post over my post from the other thread:

The writer for Crackdown 3 is Jon Goff (glyph), not Joe Staten like we had thought:

Haven't seen any news come out of the sdcc panel yet.

EDIT: Actually found a new image of the rest of Crackdown 3's city and it looks a lot better than what they have shown so far in terms of design and detail in the world:

I'm starting to wonder if MP and Single player just look different from one another. This game has had moments looking really nice and other times it looks pretty average.

That looks better than anything they showed at E3.

Which says more of how terrible the game looked at E3 than anything.

This game's gonna be a visual treat on the PC/XOX version.

Is the W10 version gonna be locked at 30 fps because of that cloud stuff?

Looks like the new Crackdown. Like they have shown.
I like the artstyle.
Can't wait for the sheep filled antihype train that will fill this thread.

That looks different than what they showed at E3. But still I call bullshot.

Nope. That's the exact same artstyle.

Edit: Just to make sure for the people who have no clue: this image is not native resolution. It's enlarged and compressed.

Not gonna lie, this looks awesome. Wasn't a fan of the stuff they showed at E3, but I like how it looks here. Hopefully this is the final look of the game

When the folk that have bitched about this see it in 4k hdr please come back with that bitchin. Haters gone hate

You know it's cross buy right? Either way you can play on PC or Xbox. It's what we call a win win.
I don't have an X1 myself but I do have a PC (well I'll be upgrading by the end of the year so that it can play it) so it's just a regular win for me :D

I do love their crossbuy initiative though!

From all the footage I've seen, I think the game looks way better in day time than it does at night. Usually it's the opposite with city based open world games.

Sounds like nothing significant out of the SDCC panel, looks like we will have to wait to maybe Gamescom to see cloud multiplayer destruction.

That is obviously the game. Nothing special graphically but still looks okay to me. It's roughly like Sunset Overdrive only in 1080p+ not 900p. It's Crackdown, that's the main thing!

...lacks reading comprehension.

Or that you should not judge a game by Youtube pictures. Especially one that features an art style that is simply compressed away.

According to...?

It's clearly in-game, they are not re-doing an entire area of the city, textures, models and lighting for a in-engine cutscene. As I have shown above what the in-game cutscenes supposedly looks like, the game has mocap (confirmed by Terry Crews) which would not come across well at all in those models hence the pre-rendered cutscenes. We also know that story telling will be done in-game through text on areas of the city and info points around the map. So I would say a very solid guess, considering we don't know at all yet. It could also be the multiplayer and the campaign is a cheap tacked on piece that looks like what we saw at E3 who knows? I went with what right now seems the most accurate of a guess.

EDIT: It's also the same early models we saw of the game a year ago than what we saw at E3 which as you can see from above looked awful:

I just want to see the building that's supposed to be double the size of the agency tower from the first.

That buildings probably going to be one giant jumping puzzle covered in orbs, thats going to drive me crazy. Hopefully it's not the tallest building in the photo that looks like it was pulled from a 343 art book, looks to small to what I imagine a building twice as tall as the agency tower would be

That looks better then that direct feed gameplay vid from a week(or two?) ago.

Hopefully what we saw was really old and today we get to see an updated version of the game.

Really stoked for this game and loved the first one. Screenshot looks good and I hope Crackdown 3 delivers and with true 4k. There's nothing really like Crackdown out there. Hopefully MS will make a bundle with X1X.

Day one

Microsoft needs to fucking hurry and bring the original to backwards compatible and none of that pre order bullshit.
