Overwatch |OT10| That'll do pig, that'll do

I'm still hoping that they only nerfed roadhogs so he doesn't hard counter doomfist on release and they plan to revert him back once people start complaining about him being OP.

I was kind of thinking about buying up all the sprays and voice lines I don't have in anticipation of the loot box changes so there is less junk available for them to give me. Dunno if it would work though, need to know how much the dupe rate has really been reduced

Oh, one last thing to add:

Apparently the local OW Tournament at the EE25 was a shitfest, with one of the big teams lacking severe education prematch, exploiting the written rules to win and going to the judges all the time, menacing them with screencaps for reporting, then despectively calling the others "Lowranks".

That's what i was hoping they wouldn't do.
I guess, hoping they would look at each situation carefully was just asking too much due to the size of the playerbase =/

*did a double take on your nickname there*

The new changes will certainly make Roadhog more tankey than before. He won't be called a DPS anymore.

Too bad that won't increase his pick rate in a significant way. There night be an uptick when his rework is released but I first it going back down after a bit. Survivability was never the problem for a hog player. This just makes him start alive longer while not killing anything and still giving ult to the other team

Called it I guess. Like this was going to happen unless blizzard dedicated actual manpower to review every single instance of reports. Otherwise we're just back to the avoid player problem they didn't like from before but with bigger consequences.

This doesn't prove anything. First off he hid his name, so if the video was legit other players could come in and verify that he was not trolling. Secondly he only showed a few clips so there is no idea how many reports it took.

A troll could easily spoof this video, just throw some games and ask for reports in chat to add to the toxicity. This is reminiscent of the early OW ban wave last year where cheaters were trying to muddy the waters with false positives.

Ehm, that user doesn't have any reason to lie and also tells you how many reports were needed and how many matches he played. In his first big post he also explains why he couldn't record all his 75 matches etc.

This is someone that you can believe and he hid his name because he didn't wanted to wake up to 100s of friend requests (You can easily find people with BattleNet search engines)

I hope the lootbox rng change drops with Doomfist today. Did they forget about it or something?

Yeah, it's been announced like a month ago. I doubt it's a buggy issue that needed proper testing like Doomfist, updated highlights or simply balancing current heroes.
Should have been released as soon as it was announced imo.

Been getting 3-4 duplicates on almost every lootboxes for the past few months (I think I made like 5k since the Anniversary event mostly thank to that). It makes receiving them not as interesting anymore. It's like... "yay more credits I'll save until the next event. Woo.Hoo."

The guys asked to be reported over and over, during 75 games. He probably got hundreds of report in one day. I better hope he got banned. No one gets hundreds of reports for doing nothing wrong (except in his VERY specific case).

Now show me someone who got banned for like three or four baseless reports. That would be an issue.

Jesus... played some Comp matches for the first time in a long time recently.
Playing a game on Hanamura starting Defense. AVG SR for team is like 3200.
I pick Roadhog.
Teammate asks, "Dude, are you fucking throwing with Roadhog right now?"

Next game is attack on King's Row.
We've got two tanks and two healers. I grab Hanzo.
Teammate says, "Hanzo huh? I don't see a top 500 number under your name, so you're not going to get any sweet picks at the beginning here."
Second teammate says, "It's fine man, he mains Zen so he'll switch to Zen."
We already had a Lucio and a Ana...

As much as I wanted to, I decided my best course of actions was to not speak, and eventually remove myself from the teamchat, which is a shame, because I usually talk a lot for call outs and such. Both matches were incredibly toxic the entire time. Which kills me because all attitudes like that does is push people away from the game, which makes the pop sizes smaller, which makes game queues take longer, which snowballs and eventually kills the game.

Low-Mid diamond is rampant with toxicity, especially if you pick an off meta hero. They just dont even give you a chance. Once you get to high diamond to Masters, people start caring less about off meta picks (for the most part)

Yea, unless this is more widespread, I don't see how this is an issue. Dude begged to be reported multiple times.

Hog sucks now so of course they would ask that. And yes, Season 5 is garbage now esp if you solo queue.

So it's war PS4 Gaf wants...

Just don't play with Ramirez anymore.

It's an open rebellion Lik, it must be crushed.

It just shows how you get banned for quantity and not quality. So people reporting other people for playing characters they don't want to have in their team will get people banned with that current bot system. So the system is still useless for reports.

They posted how they wanted people to report them in game chat. Blizz doesn't want people abusing the system and that's exactly what this person did [and they left more than a breadcrumb trail behind them].

Looking forward to trying out doomfist in a couple of weeks once insta-lock dies down a bit. Although kinda hoping for a no limits/noone but DF style arcade playlist

I'm ready to keep rejoining and rejoining QP until I can pick DF! Woo!

Also can't wait for custom crosshairs and to mess around with new highlight intro stuff

Yeah idk. Dude asked Formosa only hundreds of reports in multiple games in a short amt of time. Idk how that actually exploitable outside of getting yourself banned. You'd have to have hundreds of accts and somehow get in the same game with someone to get them banned.

It's likely there is a time element in play here as well.

Guy did all of this in like 48 hours or something. If half of his teammates reported him over 75 games, that's 225 reports in 48 hours. Enough that any system should react to.

I'm not saying the system isn't without flaws, but the system likely is a lot more complex than. If account reports is greater than x, then ban account.
