MH without shit controls, shit online, and on a modern console. Still cant believe this is happening. Can't wait!

Know what I love? Waking up, getting hype, and then getting misty as I hear that music kick in. Something about the Monster Hunter theme just hits me just in the right way.

Can't believe some people think this game is ugly, it's so damn beautiful. Animations are a bit sloppy, but otherwise it's seriously so good looking

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.

I still feel like I'm dreaming. The most I was expecting was a return to Tri HD quality on the Switch, but skipping that and going PS4 and PC is a most welcome decision.

I'm interested in this series but it scares me. I heard you need to grind a boss like 20 times just to make one item, is it true?

Nah.

The large monsters can drop a variety of their bits. Some common, some not. In general you increase your odds of getting specific goodies by fighting a monster in a specific way (break the wings, smash the horns, sever the tail, crack the beard, etc).

Making one item generally only takes a kill or three. Making an entire set of the monster's gear (multiple armor pieces and a weapon) will take more kills.

And you can increase your odds of getting the cooler drops by fighting the enemy on a higher rank.

Lower end, no, you don't. For specific gears it may take a few hunts depending on luck but once you reach high rank gear, yes you will need to grind for specific parts.

20 times would be pretty short in some cases!

But yeah, if you're not big on the concept of running bosses multiple times, even with as great of gameplay that MH has had, then I wouldn't bother with the series.

Where do you guys think the long term player base is going to be PC or PS4, still deciding. It would be awesome for Capcom to let us have shared files between the two.

Since it's not region-locked, and with the PC vs PS4 population in Japan, I think PS4 is going to have more players overall, though both will live, no worries on that.

Best thing is they can scale this for Switch later.

Game looks great and so far has quelled most of my fears. We'll see how Capcom markets and handles the game as it gets closer to release.

I will only accept Uragaan if they make his baby variant the default way to fight him.

Easily one of the funniest event quests in Tri. Having everyone surrounding this tiny, dangerous monster whilst sending your team mates flying was a blast.

My PS4 has been gathering dust ever since I got the Switch. This game will see me easily sinking in over 1000 hours like I have done with every MonHun prior to this.

Considering the whole ecosystem angle that's being played up big time, not having Deviljho as a presence would be scandalous.

Jho's coming back. He's a series staple and one that serves to remind you that no matter how many times you encounter him, if you are to succeed in the first place, it will merely be by the skin of your teeth.

Apex was awful, such a terrible mechanic.

smh.

They kinda went overboard tho when they brought him back in 4th gen. That's why I don't think they will bring him back. What more can they give him? He already has so many moves.

That chicken bird thing fumbling the Boulder is a really great piece of animation. It's really great to see monster Hunter like this
