I feel like a crazy person whenever I read people's negative reviews of the Netflix Marvel shows. I've loved/liked each one including this. People put DD S1 on a pedestal imo. It was just the big new thing at the time and the novelty inevitably wore off. Like, I don't see the huge drop in quality that everyone is always talking about.
DD is like the main character here.
Awesome thanks. Probably gonna watch it then.Daredevil is pretty directly relevant to this show's central plot
For the complaints about the music with Cage's early scenes, did people watch Luke Cage? Music played a huge role in that series, so, yeah, since the first episodes serve as a continuation of their respective shows, music should absolutely be a big part of Cage's scenes. The same thing is happening with visual cues; camera angles, lighting, etc...I don't see the issue with it also happening with audio cues.

Yeah if they really wanted it all connected they can do more than names or small stuff. I can understand the avengers not caring but someone like spider man not doing anything. Unless these shows take place before Spider Man is active. Have they ever out right said if this actiually was canon or not? Sorry for getting off topic lol. Also if I remember correctly JJ was actually having some common story with Agents of Shield right? If not Tony, who might be off doing Avengers shit, at least Spider-Man would have at least dropped in to check things out about the earthquake.
But the real problem, I think, is The Hand. If they are so far-reaching and powerful and not even hiding their operations, someone should have known about them in the movie sphere.
It's kind of obvious why people are complaining about the Luke Cage music stuff. It's getting to the point of stereotyping.
It's canon. Feige has said that a team up hasn't happened because of production timing/planning, and the fact that Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are different companies that don't necessarily talk much at all.Yeah if they really wanted it all connected they can do more than names or small stuff. Did you feel the same way about the show? As I recall, the show was praised for it's use of music, and it's incorporation of the culture, rather than shying away from it. But if you felt it was stereotyping then, I absolutely understand why it would feel that way now, as well.
IIRC all Netflix shows takes place after Winter Soldier and before Age of UltronYeah if they really wanted it all connected they can do more than names or small stuff. What the fuck at the hip hop music in the last episode hahaha. So out of place goddammit.

Well, in fairness, Luke Cage was critically praised for its use of hip hop, so I bet the showrunners or Marvel looked at that and figured "more can't hurt".Yep. It's basically bruva on screen that's get some hip hop playing. I just don't get why they think Luke needs to have hip hop tunes 90% time he is on screen. They don't do it with the rest, so why just Luke?
I'm inclined to think they take place in real time, personally.IIRC all Netflix shows takes place after Winter Soldier and before Age of Ultron
So I've been busy and didn't care for Iron Fist so I only finished maybe 2-3 episodes. I've started Defenders and so far I don't feel like I've missed anything important. I'm following the mythology just fine. For those who've watched all of Iron Fist and are pretty far into The Defenders are there episodes of Iron Fist that might be a good idea for me to view?
They confirmed a while ago that Defenders takes place 6 months after DD S2. Considering S2 takes place roughly a year after S1 we are looking at a 18 month timespan which fits with the timeline between WS and AoUI'm inclined to think they take place in real time, personally.
They just don't really care about the stuff that didn't happen in America.

Nope! Just know that Colleenhad an evil sensei.

You owe it to yourself to watch JJStill going to watch this despite only have seen both seasons of Daredevil and not being able to make it through the first episodes of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.
Did watch the Screen Junkies recap though.
You owe it to yourself to watch JJ
I don't even know the timeline for all this shit, but did Spiderman even have his powers when this took place?
E5:Stick being a John Cena fan was hilariously random
It's not really what he said, it's what he did. What'd he say? I didn't catch that reference.

Not sure if serious.E5:Stick being a John Cena fan was hilariously random
Dr Who has been shit for years due to Mofat.
