Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
Why is Goku who's helping Hit and not Toppo and Jiren? Toppo and Jiren just watched them knock off one of their own teammates there.

I actually do like how characters are retreating when battles don't go their way. It makes sense too, since the arena is a wreck, and there are places to hide now.

Transformations that focus on strength or speed but without the drawbacks of say, USSJ is just really stupid in a franchise with such basic and homogeneous fighting as dragonball.

Congratulations, Goku can now hit the person he's fighting.

Represent.

Represent(ative) of bad opinions
That was the best episode/fight of the tournament beside he Goku/Vegeta duo.

But another shitty ep next week. I dont give a fuck about a Master Roshi centered fight.

Time for Freeza.

They don't have abilities to save them in time I guess, though I guess you could argue why Toppo at the very least didn't join in ganging up on Hit. I know Jiren won't because he's BORING.

at the same time it's getting tiresome there is so often a last minute save for bigger threats.

Seems like Krillin was the only one who has to deal with a momentary fuck up costing him the whole battle.

SSG is faster and stronger than SS but not so compared to SSB. However, it has lower stamina drain than SSB which is why Goku used it in this fight. He brought it out specifically for this situation because it's battle royale and he needed the speed increase, to go along with his battle experience, to keep up with Dyspo but SSB would have made it harder for him in later fights.

In any other situation, there's really reason to use SSG over SSB because Blue is just faster and stronger. If they wanted to fight without a major stamina drain then they have base form or SS, which they've mastered by this time.

Come on guys, going by your earlier reactions I thought this was going to be a dull one, but I enjoyed it a lot. Sure, Goku keeps being Goku and giving zero fucks about stuff, but I trust they'll bring back his awesome Frieza recruitment episodes self when things start to get more serious (though they should be already lol, we're talking about erasure here).
I wonder if we'll see Vegeta pull SSG every now and then too, or maybe he can't access that form yet as he didn't undergo the ritual.

I need some fanart of Champa and his vuvuzela, definitely one of my favorite parts of tonight's episode lol. When they first introduced him I didn't know what to expect, but I'm glad to see how he's being handled so far.

so you're telling me he shouldn't ever be transforming into a super saiyan besides fanservice then.

Also, if Goku's saving grace to defeat ET was to obtain another transformation then I guess he's shit out of luck unless he combines blue and god to make like super saiyan purple.

How long do we give next episode until Goku comes out to play?
Episode 99 remains of the best for having so little of Goku

Toppo: It's about survival or erasure now.

Of course it is you dumb alien, since you didn't care to save your other seven teammates and/or sent them to their deaths

It was a little bit over the top, but it's the first development Roshi's gotten since Dragon Ball, other than being on par with Krillin and Tien because reasons.

character development or not, if it's a good ep, I'll like it. If it's creepy/rapey again, I won't. Character development is not always positive

It's about time one of the Pride Troopers start speaking sense (Toppo)

They're down to 3 people even though Jiren might be broke. Yeah, the wheels of the "Justice Bus" should have came off a while ago. This tournament was never about good or evil, just survival. Just win.

Same, didn't expect these impressions when I clicked the thread lol
Actually nah, it had SSG Goku in it, I should've known better

Champa was the best of this episode.

Dragon Ball Super |OT8| Doesn't matter, except vuvuzelas

The
spikey little guy from U4 that people were joking about
is in the NEP too.
Magetta's the only one from another Universe to appear, hmm.

What if
Roshi manages to defeat Magetta somehow
?

Didn't they essentially say Vegeta didn't need to do the ritual. Something about he attained god ki on his own / hence his ability to go blue.

I do hope we see SSG pop up more now.

The whole no more justice speech is so hollow when all they done is gang up on people and only one guy got knocked out trying to be the hero

So what are they going to really try now

Hmm so is switching between red and blue cool now? Since the anime did it too... I mean it was lame when the manga did it. Haha

uh SSG is probably more drainig than ssj though...

but most people at this point in the show's universe can easily deal with SS1, probably even 2.

If SSG is something he can keep up and isn't TOO stamina draining, then seems like a solid transformation to use for regular 1v1 battles before he goes blue.

I like Ganos, such a cool design and name

latest

Hopefully he'll do something memorable

Dragon Ball Super |OT| Ganos is in this

tbf he seems to have turned over a new leaf (at least until this arc is done) so we'll see if he his able to remain that way until he's out of commission.

Man I gotta conserve stamina. I know! I'll wait until the tournament is in the middle grounds before I start using a form that won't exert as much as Blue!

That is so incredibly stupid that I can't even right now. I personally think it's dumb and SSG should have come back a bunch of other times considering their situation but whatever.

Finished
This episode would have been a lot better with just Hit
Yeah, while I didn't dislike Goku's appearance as much as others, I gotta agree there, the first half was pretty amazing and I wouldn't have minded a full episode dedicated solely to Hit.
Shoulda just took my impressions
Lol, well it was a good one and the vuvuzela... Champa da best.

Yeah, a Gokuless episode would've been nice, but it's not like this one was a bad one. IMO, that is.

I'd be cool with that, this'll be probably Roshi's last chance of relevancy so let him go all out

stand around for a few more episodes

ocassional Jiren stare
