Okay but it really is hideous. I meant that part. Definitely the worst of the three statues in the JJ line we've seen so far. The others are light-years better.

I've always found music acts and comics to be a pretty weird mix. The other week I saw that Black Eyed Peas thing Marvel published and Jesus fucking shit.... They have nudity in the book that's censored via pixelation. Come the fuck on, Marvel.

You are forcing comic shops to buy a crapload of copies of say America or Generation X for a gimmick cover and it's likely, those copies will be collecting dust and the gimmick will be picked up and scalped?

Read the first three issue arc of Mother Panic. I don't think I was quite prepared for how dark it was going to go, that's some rough stuff. Since they initially hold back that stuff in issue 1, I thought the book was maybe going to be a bit too angsty/try hard but once you have that background and context, the whole thing takes on a really different tone. Definitely interested what Houser has to say with that. It's dark stuff, dark enough I think it's only worth exploring if the team can really do it justice and say something meaningful but I am definitely engaged and I guess this is what Gotham would be like if you take the cuffs off on the content.

Honestly, Marvel gives no fucks once they dump their stock. If retailers get stuck with a bunch of product they can't sell, oh well. I like how their solution to lagging sales is to force retailers to buy more to get incentive covers instead of putting out better books people will actually want.

Green Arrow is incredible, guys. It's one book that you can absolutely jump in from Rebirth with no background at all and enjoy. In fact, some of the storytelling works even better if you don't know much about the background and stuff.
